Tuf-Glide works great
Great lube for guns and locking blade knifes. Does not collect dirt and dust.

TUF-GLIDE
This is the best stuff I've yet found to use to lube my knives pivot and I've been trying everything I can get my hands on for years now. I just recently bought a very nice custom flipper and after a few days of playing with the knife way more than using it the flipping action started to drag a bit and it felt as if the bearings were the problem. Just one drop of Sentry Solutions TUF-Glide on the detent and then allowing the blade to open and close made the knife instantly slick as grease lighting once again. Anyone opening and closing that knife would have thought that the pivot was dry as a bone and and bearing wear was taking place but once the detent ball had a slick (DRY) surface to travel over it was smooth sailing once again. What makes this stuff great is that it applies wet its able to get into all the hard to reach yet important areas (the needle point applicator is great) but then it dries and once it dries it will never collect dust, dirt or lint like so many other lubes that stay wet or viscous. When I receive a new knife now the first thing I do is carefully take it apart and wipe clean the bronze washer or caged bearings and then I apply the Tuf-Glide and reassemble the knife. I know that most other lubes are only going to gunk up with lint/dust while in my pocket or while being used so now I start with Tuf-Glide and it keeps my knives nice and lubed without attracting dust or lint to the pivot. It's great stuff and it's SO cheap...I bet you could easily lube 50 or more folders with just one 1/2 oz bottle. Give this stuff a try!

The bottle is tiny, but the product is great and it should last me years.
I've been a longtime user of Militec-1 and Break-Free CLP, but I wanted something that would attract less dust and grime into the pivots of my tools. I just tested this out by lubricating every nook and cranny of my Leatherman that could use it. I don't mind the smell, which is similar to other lubricants. I was a little hesitant to spend nearly ten dollars on a half ounce bottle, but I see now that it was money well spent. It did an excellent job of loosening up the Leatherman and the bottle looks just as full as when I started. That's because the high-quality metal needle applicator and rigid bottle make it nearly impossible to miss the right placement or amount of Tuf-Glide. I once had a 1/3 oz. sample of Militec-1 that lasted FOREVER, and that applicator was clumsy by comparison. The applicator cap comes with a nice rubber stopper and an internal gasket to prevent any leaks or evaporation. I'll definitely buy this again. The good news is I don't think I'll need to for another 8 years or so!

Limited Scope of Use
I bought this for my folding knives. It's a very light weight oil and thus, works well in limited applications: (1) great for lubricating between all the appendages of a leatherman or swiss army knife. (2) not bad for lubricating the ball bearings within a folding knife. However, it's terrible for any parts that aren't enclosed (eg: the detent ball or detent track on the blade) since it's a very light weight oil, so it inevitably runs off and doesn't stay in the desired area. The needle applicator does work well. Regarding its purported rust-inhibiting properties, I assume it works (ie: I haven't noticed any of my knives rusting--although I also haven't been using it very long and am always careful about not letting my knives get too wet). Unsolicited suggestion: I'm going to give Nano oil's 85 weight option a try for the detent ball/detent track on my knives. I also think their 10 weight might be a better option for ball bearings.

Really great high end lube!
So far so good! I only received this lubricant a couple of weeks ago but I took apart all my folding knives, cleaned them, and used only this oil. I have high end Benchmade, Emerson, and other knives so I needed a high end lubricant. I don't like working with the pastes as much because they cause a mess but they keep dirt out better than oil type lubes like this one. So far I have so say it has not dried out, hasn't gummed up, super smooth slide, and it looks like it is doing a good job not sticking to dust and dirt. I also like that it comes with the needle applicator as well as a normal cap incase you want to dip into it with like a q-tip.

Resurrected my EDC SAK
OMG this stuff is AWESOME! I had an old, well loved, Victorinox Swiss Army Knife, whose main and secondary knife blades had become horrifically stuck to the point of only being able to be pulled open with the pliers from my Leatherman tool. I tried cleaning it with hot water WD-40 and other solutions, but to no avail. I figured I had damaged the spring or bolsters beyond repair and I've had unimpressive experiences with Victorinox customer service in the past. Having conceded defeat, regarding the practicality of the SAK continuing to be my EDC, I lovingly retired it to the top dresser drawer - UNTIL I came across references to Sentry Solution Tuf-Glide, found it here on Amazon, and gave the product a try. The needle applicator got the solution deep down in the mechanism and the lubricant penetrated alongside the blade to the pivot pin with ease. I was elated when I once again, was able to work the blade open and closed by hand, without pliers. I couldn't get that goofy grin off my face as I worked the blades Open, and closed, and open, and closed, open, and closed (ad nauseum). The knive works like new again and it resides where it belongs, in my left front pocket, every where I go (except courthouses and airplanes, of course.)

Being unable to locate my little bottle of Militec-1 oil I thought I'd give this a go for the lubrication and protection of my folding knives. Dripped onto the pivot of some of my knives I now find them incredibly smooth and "glidy" to open and close. Is it expensive? Yes. Does it work? It exceeded expectations significantly. I would not hesitate to buy another bottle when this one eventually runs out, which I don't expect to be for some significant amount of time.

El lubricante es excelente, no es pegajoso ni se tapa la botella.

Awesome stuff. I was originally going to order from Amazon.com, but I found that shipping to Canada would cost 24 dollars. This video shows how it smooths out a folding knife action. [...]
