I've been a huge Peter Bagge fan since the early 90's! To the point where I even have an entire arm sleeve tattoo all scenes from Hate Comics and Neat Stuff!! As a former Art Director at Tower Records, I was given the opportunity to hand make a Buddy & Lisa book cover display that was 4x8 feet. Still have it hanging in my house to this day- buy everything Peter Bagge puts out- hilarious comics!

SWEATSHOP is Peter Bagge's comic about a "cranky old cartoonist" and his crew of artists (his "sweatshop") that work for him on his daily comic strip. It's a great set up for a sitcom and takes a look at many aspects of the comics business and the people who work in it. Bagge shares art duties with several others on the six issues collected here but does all the writing himself. If you're a Bagge fan you will not be disappointed! I would certainly like to see these characters revisited someday.

If you like comics and graphic novels, you'll love Bagge's semi-autobiographical account of what it's like to work in the decaying 2000's comic assembly line environment. Funny, insightful, and often a bit emotional. Every page is a gem!
