Wish I would’ve bought this sooner. Makes finishing stairs a breeze. Marshalltown is the best quality. Been using it a ton and barely any ware. Can’t beat it for $26

I did my first DIY concrete pour, and for whatever reason, instead of doing a basic slab, I had to choose a project where I had to do a step. Instead of just taking it easy and getting my feet wet, I jumped right in with one of the more challenging concrete projects. Perhaps it was confidence knowing that I had my Marshalltown outside step tool to help clean up my step. As shown in the picture, I did one pass with my step tool, and wow, it immediately started to smooth the step finish. At first, I didn’t think I would need it at all, but as I looked over the step, I realized how pointy it looked, so I broke out the outside step tool, and bam, it fixed it. It beveled the edge so well. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

I just received this MARSHALLTOWN blue steel step tool and wanted to show it up close. The steel is thicker and heavier than I expected, and the handle feels solid and comfortable. The finish looks high quality with clean edges and no rough spots. I also like how it is not a sharp 90 degree angle, but instead has a rounded edge for shaping. The video gives a full look from all angles so you can see the thickness and overall construction. I have not used it yet, but it looks like it should hold up well and last a long time. Minus one star because it seems a bit expensive for what it is. I paid around $30 for it. I think $20 would be a more reasonable price.
