Works great and was easy to setup.

We have an old bathroom that has recessed lighting over the vanity. Tried many solutions but with three of these with 100 watt bulbs it still was too dark in there. I came across this beauty and was so glad I did! It screws right into the recessed light socket, you adjust the length you want it and slide the cover up add your choice of shade, screw in a bulb and voila! You're changed your lighting and look instantly with no electrician fee. I recommend that you wait until you've gotten your connector screwed in and your wire adjusted before you put on the shade and bulb, this allows easier installation without the extra weight. The cap and the medallion cover (not sure what it's called) are made of metal and in a very nice color which will go with many decor choices. To keep the medallion from sliding down a bit we just used a bit of tacky putty, the kind you hang up posters with, under the rim and it stays fine, looks like a permanent install, but even better if you're renting because you can take it with you. We were thinking of getting two more for the other recessed lights in there but even with only a 60 watt bulb being lowered the light is plenty now, brighter than the 300 combined watts, so a savings on the installation, you get to take it with you and a savings every day on your electric bill.

This is exactly what we were looking for. Extremely easy to install. Actually, I had them both installed in less time than it took my wife to solve a simple banking issue on the phone with the bank, literally about 8 minutes for each one. And, when we did find that one of the twist on pendant secure rings wasn’t fitting properly, I called and the owner herself took care of my request and promptly shipped me a new set. Great product, even greater customer service. Not what I’ve come to expect lately. Very pleased. Thanks!!

The product itself is great, simple & clean. Install is literally as easy as replacing a light bulb. My only problem is i ordered the "oil rubbed bronze", which is essentially black with bronze highlights... i received something i would describe as "brushed nickel" which is silver in color.

Love this and wish I had purchased it years ago. Canned lighting over the kitchen sink wasn't nearly as useful as having the pendant light.

Love it! I saw another reviewer say how they were tired of guests commenting on the burnt out bulb when really the sink light just has a separate switch. It got old. Plus this looks better. It also matches my Edison bulb table chandelier. I ordered the kit in the morning. Went to Lowe’s and bought the shade and bulb. The product arrived the same day. I installed it in15 minutes. It took me a minute to pull it tight enough to not see the canister under it. All in all it’s a great change and we like it!

To the person that came up with idea, I praise you! I am an engineering teacher and THIS is what I am always preaching to my students...an innovative idea that is so simple, yet so intelligent. No joke, this is not a fake or paid for review...these things are awesome! I moved into a home with tons of can lights! First I went all LED bulbs, then I decided to review how I could get rid of some of the can lights...that's how I happened upon these kits! Well, my kitchen DIY makeover is loving them. I am ordering more for another room! Two pointers....READ the directions about pulling down on the cord for the smart plastic to tighten the housing against the ceiling (GENIUS in its simplicity). Set up the length of the cord on the ground and try to remove as many bends/kinks from the wire prior to hanging...make sure to wind the wire and have it end in the center at the end of winding.
