TRIXIE Fun Board Strategy Game for Cats, Puzzle Toy, Treat Dispenser, Interactive Play, Mental Stimulation

I absolutely love this product, and I wish I would have found it sooner. My kitties are currently on a diet, and they were getting fed twice a day. They would all scarf down their food, sometimes too fast and they would throw it up (not good for them or me!) I ordered this initially as a treat feeder, but quickly changed it to my cats' permanent feeder. Although they still get fed twice a day, this feeder makes them work for their food, slowing them down so they can't inhale their food. Additionally, even though the amount of food that I give them has not changed, there is frequently food left over when it is time for the next feeding. I think that this indicates that they only eat what they really need, because they are too lazy to work for more food than they are hungry for.The center has 4 sections (well 5 if you count under the arch). I have found that there are really only 2 sections that make my cats work for their food. Going from the picture, on the far left is the arch. On top of the arch there are little sections that can fit several pieces of food, but a couple of my cats can eat them right out of the sections, which defeats the point of making them work for their food. The next section is a set of wavy dividers. My cats quickly figured out that they can take their paw and pull back all of the kibbles in a wave divider, and then eat a bunch at a time, again defeating the point. The next section is full of vertical fingers. This is one of the sections that I put their food in. They have to use their paws and they can only get a couple kibbles at a time, which serves my purpose of slowing them down and making them work for their food. The final section is 4 bubbles with holes at the top. I also put their food in this section. They can use their paws to scrape out a couple kibbles at a time.All of my cats (6) quickly learned to use each section of this, although they tend to have their favorite sections. I know this is anthropomorphizing, but I really think they have to concentrate and think when they get the kibble out, and they seem to enjoy the challenge. Since purchasing this, I have gotten several other thinking food puzzles for them, but this remains my favorite that all of my cats can do. Some of them are too complicated for some of my less gifted kitties, but all of them can do the activity center, which makes it a great feeder. I also love that it can be thrown in the dishwasher!Even though I am not using it for what I thought I would when I bought it, I like it even more using it this way, My kitties have only been on a diet for a couple of months, and some of them still have a ways to go, but using this eliminates the begging because they can get the food when they want it, but it makes it hard for them to overeat. The ONLY bad side to this is that it is plastic, and I have heard that it is not good to feed animals from plastic (though I am not sure exactly why). Perhaps chemicals from the plastic?If you are looking for something to challenge your cats, or just something to help put them on a diet, give this a try!

This is a really nice cat toy. It's large, 12x16 inches. There are 4-1 inch circular rubber "feet" on the bottom, and they work really well to keep the tray securely on the floor. Each component of this toy are made to keep your cat interested and they aren't too complicated (unfortunately my cat Lucy has no clue lol. I've bought two other puzzles like this, and Lucy can't figure them out). I should've known not to buy it. Sometimes she can't even find a treat if it's right in front of her lol...I guess her sense of smell isn't that good...idk. I did give it to my daughter for her cat, and even though he's usually uninterested in anything, he did pretty well with this. Even her dog (who has a really keen sense of smell) liked it. He really pawed at it too, and it only moved a little bit.I have a great tip that someone else told me about. It'll allow you to use this puzzle really efficiently and to keep your cat involved for a longer time. I replace part of Lucy's food with a different type of dry kibble as treats so she won't gain too much weight. I usually buy a 5lb bag of it, and then I've got ALOT of treats, at a great price. Normally I replace about a tablespoon of her food every day, so she doesn't get tired of the "new treats". That bag has lasted a long time.I'd think, IF your cat plays toys and seems interested in many things, it would be a good purchase for you (I know, most cats could care less about some stuff). I think it's one that works well as the first step cat puzzle. Even a kitten might like it, although it may take more time to master it (no kidding, right?). I do think though that it would be great for a kitten, to let them learn it now, so they won't get bored when they're older.

Just got this and both my eight year old female cat and two year old male cat took to it right away. I put a few treats in all of the spots and they got them out so they would associate this as a positive and fun task. They were able to share it and work at the same time on opposite sides of the board (we are working on sharing). I put some spring toys in the tunnel too and that was a huge hit! The "tongue module" above the tunnel element was tricky for them to use their paws, it stumped them, my male cat lifted the board up with his teeth to move them (which is a common theme with him). The directions recommend water or wet food (however cleaning that sounds like a nightmare and not something I plan on doing often). The board size is larger that I expected, even with measurements given, but that is fine. Cleaning it was a little bit of a task before filling it with treats. It appears durable and well made and relatively easy to use. At three in the morning, I added a few treats to this and was able to go back to sleep for an hour so good on the entertainment and keeping the cats engaged! My eight year old cat was alone for the last seven years, having this new teenage cat, I am very happy to see that she is getting mental stimulation from this, I would have never gotten this if it wasn't for taking in this male six months ago. I also have the Catstages Kitty Cube Interactive Treat Puzzle Cat Toy from Catstages to use as an alternative to this. The directions recommend starting with ten minute play sessions, and increasing it slowly so the cat(s) stay engaged with it and have a positive association with it and I highly recommend that, bond with your cat(s) and teach them how to use it and praise them for using it. They get frustrated too and if you want them engaged, then engage with them. The four star is mostly for the cleaning aspect, I don't plan on putting it in the dishwasher. I would recommend this.

This is a great stimulus game for kitties who have a lot of energy. But one of my kitties is too smart. He understood the mission quite quickly. However he still enjoys it. It’s pretty durable. Great price for the item.

This product is wonderful! Recently my vet told me to put my cat, Precious, on a diet. Well, she's been driving me nuts begging for more food. She's also older and is sleeping more than she used to (she's about 9) and I've been wanting her to get a little more active. I tried a feeding ball, but she figured it out quickly and empties it in a couple of minutes (still a good starting point, but I needed to prolong the feeding time to cut down on begging). I kept researching other food puzzles, but I really liked that this has 5 puzzles and seemed the most creative. I've had this product for about a week. The price is steep, but worth it. High quality, doesn't seem likely to break easy, fairly heavy too. I was worried my cat would tip it or something by standing on it, but the puzzle is sturdy and has stood up well to her 11 and a half lbs. Her paws also fit inside each puzzle even thogh she's chunky. She hasn't been able to get at the treats by "cheating" with her mouth either on 4 of the puzzles. Most are meant for your cat to use her paw, hearing and sense of smell to get the treats off the board, one is for cat to lap up liquid treats.As for puzzle itself, here's the deal with each of the 5 puzzles:1. Alley: This is a round tunnel deep enough when you hide treats my cat has to stretch her paw far inside to get the treats in the middle. She really likes the alley and runs from side to side with her tail quivering as if she's hunting as she searches for treats.2. Liquid treats: This is the blocks on top of the alley. It's meant for liquid treats so your cat has to lick them up, but from the instruction book it's not as easy as normal since they're smaller square blocks. Also supposed to be good for blind or disabled pets. I don't have any liquid treats to interest my cat yet, so she hasn't tried this one yet.3. Waves: This is the first one my cat figured out. Pretty simply, all she has to do is one or two paw swipes down the middle and she gets the treats. Once she solved this one she was much more interested in the puzzle so I'm glad there's a fairly straightforward puzzle.4. Pegs: this is difficult and my cat hasn't finished figuring it out yet. You put treats in among the pegs, and they're set up so your cat has to do multiple paw swipes to get the treats out from the board. She's pretty good if you make the puzzle simpler by putting the treats near the edge of the puzzle board, but has trouble with the ones in the center. She did solve it last night and ate all the treats on the peg board, so she seems to be catching on.5. Globes: This is the hardest one, and my cat's still working on it. Precious has to put her paw into the globe, feel for a treat, and scoop it out of the globe and onto the floor so she can eat it. She's had a few successes, but still having some trouble.Pros:5 puzzles in one platform, each differing in difficulty. Difficulty also adjusted by placing food nearer to edge or further away. I divide up her hard food so she gets some food throughout the day until I'm home and can feed her. When I'm home my cat plays and snacks on a few kibbles, then wanders away seeming satisfied. My cat doesn't beg anymore and she's more active when I watch her play and get treats. She seems to be enjoying herself too.Disadvantages:The price is very expensive for a cat toy. on the other hand, the quality is good so I don't feel cheated. Since 5 puzzles involved price works out to be reasonable for each seperate puzzle. Also the board is a little bulky in my small apartment. Size about 12''x14 1/2'' (not huge, but my place is small.

We have a Maine Coon... he could barely get his paw into the cups. It would be better if the cups would tilt a bit. As for the rest of the board, well, he tried getting the treats out of the other sections, but his large paws would not allow him to get the food. He soon got bored with the board.

My cats love it: it keeps them busy for at least 15 minutes, but is still simple enough for my senior to get plenty of treats when he uses it with his little sister. Love that you can remove the cups, making it very easy to clean.

This is really a HEAVILY made and sturdily, ingeniously-designed product to entertain your cat(s) while they consume their dry-food meals (or even solid treats) at a more healthful pace!With 5 different mazes into which you 'bury' or deposit the kibbles, my cat went from devouring her morning cat food ration from two minutes, to ELEVEN as she pokes and pulls at the kibbles from this toy's variety of puzzler-mazes of peg, deep-bowl, tunnel and honeycomb nitches, using either her paws, claws, snout or tonge to reap the rewards.It's extremely sturdy (its plastic is MANY times heavier and more durable than is that of my $300 all-in-one computer laser printer)!The sole aspect of this game board my cat has seemingly given up on as being too difficult (after a week since its delivery) are its four deep-bowls. After many tries over these days, she'd only managed the successful removal of two food bits from them and now just ignores whatever solid kibble-treats I drop into those (perhaps I shall now try a few slivers of succulent, raw meat into those to renew her interest n them....after all, those are easily unscrewed from their sturdy plastic platform for easy washability)!UPDATE, 1 Month Later.... She's finally starting to achieve success in extricating kibbles from those notoriously-difficult (for HER, anyhow) fish bowls!For those of you who express concern about the cat being able to "slide the board around" on the floor/carpet: ... Well, It's Not Easy Considering This Board's Heft, But In Her Method Of Getting The Kibbles Out Of Those Bowls, My Cat DOES Manage To Move This Game/Puzzle Tray Around (as the bowls securely latch to the base and have an indented rim at their tops, she is able to LIFT/SHIFT the entire contraption with each attempt at pulling out the food bits from them)! I sometimes now come home to find those bowls void of the few grains of feed deposited within them hours earlier AND the game tray moved as much as 2-1/2 feet from its original spot (MAN! SHE'S STRONG!).

Anche se lei ormai ha imparato ad estrarre i croccantini molto facilmente da tutti gli scomparti, non li mangia tutti in una volta come quando sono mella ciotola.Preciso che l'alimentazione della mia gatta è 90% umido e 10% croccantini che per lei sono esclusivamente un premio.Lo consiglio

リビングに出しっぱなしでも違和感が無いくらい高級感があります。「これは何？」とよくきかれますがおしゃれなアートに見えなくもない。我が家は猫の為に買いましたがちょっと使いづらそう。カップは深く、棒の隙間も狭いので手が太いと入らないし舌も届きません。人間が端まで誘導してあげながら、おやつにたどり着いた気持ちにさせてあげています。何にでも興味津々の子猫の好奇心は満足させられました。
