Very Happy! (Me and the furry one) This tunnel DOES attach to the TENT! (Same brand)
I bought the tent, that went over very well. Kitty and I are trying to find compromises between indoor and outdoor. Came back to buy the tunnel and tower. Then I read about the tower not fitting larger animals (mine is large frame 14lbs- healthy) so I skipped that. I ordered the tunnel and got nervous when after (yes, yes always read reviews FIRST I know) I read that it did NOT attach to tent. OH NO!! It's not true. I'm not sure what other people are doing wrong, or if I got lucky (just ordered a second tunnel, so here's hoping!) but the tunnel fairly easily attaches. However, it only attaches on ONE END. So if you've tried one and don't see how, spin that baby around and try again! To the point: *Been using the tunnel daily for a couple of weeks. No issues. Folding up, pulling out. Pretty easy. Could do with some clamps to make getting into the bag easier, it wants to POP out and be useful all the time! =) This is easily solved though, just need some clips. *Tunnel DOES attach to tent. Bags hooked onto to tunnel to store extra doors, nice touch. *Zipper is easily secured by using one of the bag strings (they're sturdy) and looping it the another bag or the ties attached. You'll see. Not at all tricky. *Unlike the tent bag, which is a chore to get the tent back into (The tent it self is great!) this bag is nice and roomy. In fact, I was able to squeeze both the tent and the tunnel into it. Tent sticks out of the top, but it's a lot easier than trying to get into it's own bag. Very happy with this! I would like to see more to add on. A cross section. A better tower than can support larger cats. I'd probably buy it all until my yard just looked like some deranged maze. Sorry neighbors! At least it all packs away with ease. UPDATE: Here we are almost two years later and here's what I can tell you: We still love these products and will buy more. I've gone through 5 tunnel sections and two tents over the last (almost) two years. The first tent couldn't take the weight of the snow so well and broke after a nasty storm, which is fair. I should've packed it away, but Kitty was still braving it so I let him have his fun. The tunnel sections have a major flaw IF they're on rough terrain - the yellow material scrapes off and boy do I mean fast! Other than that, they are very sturdy. Unfortunately once the yellow fabric comes off the wires are undone from the mesh and the whole tunnel starts to deform. I solved this by outdoor cord wrapping the wire and yellow fabric to the mesh. Just keep looping around and through. This thick outdoor cord allows the tunnel not to scrape on the ground thus saving the yellow fabric. It also better secures the wire to the mesh so the tunnel stays springy. It took FOREVER to wrap one section, but that section has now survived for over a year with NO damage to the yellow fabric. Here's the cord I used, it was a little thick to get through the mesh, but I worry that thinner cord would not protect as well. Coolaroo Shade Fabric Lacing Cord 80ft Black I will soon be testing the non-ABO duel opening tent to extend our gauntlet in the yard for kitty. RORAIMA outdoor use Instant Portable Cat Tent or Habitat with Rain Fly and Two Entrance for Indoor Cats, Air Ventilate Mesh Fabric Prevent Bugs, Size 75" L X 60" W X 36" H Black I'll update after and let you know how it worked out. If only ABO would expand!!! Longer sturdier tunnels, a tower that fits larger full grown cats, a duel opening tent like the one I'm about to take a chance on?...ah, but I've said this before. Finger's crossed.

Create a collapsible outdoor cat run with a few minor adjustments.
This is the most cost-effective, quality product for accomplishing my goals: to allow my indoor cats a way to walk outdoors and lounge outside on the grass/in the sunshine outside our first floor patio. I actually used the tunnel to create a path from the back door of our house to a tent by the same company ABO Gear Happy Habitat for Indoor Cats . This allowed my two cats to explore the enclosure on their own terms, and run back inside when they were frightened. Their ability to control when they are in the tent seems to play a huge part in their enjoyment of it, and the fun run tunnel was instrumental in that regard. My cats would not be happy using this fun run on it's own, it is too small for their adult size, and I think they would find it claustrophobic. But used in conjunction with the habitat, it's fantastic. Since I'm using two products together as an outdoor cat run, I am kind of reviewing them as a pair. The tent itself is made of high-quality mesh. Set up took seconds. Despite attempts to pick it apart from my puzzle-minded cat, and him charging a chihuahua walking by, he was not able to get through it. Note: if your cat is an escape artist, defensive of his territory, etc. make sure to weight down or stake the corners. As another reviewer stated, a determined cat could potentially roll or walk this enclosure away if not secured appropriately. I was able to tightly zip one end of the Fun Run into the tent opening, but I will need to fasten the zipped openings more securely if I want to leave the cats unsupervised. The fun run extends from our backdoor to the opening of the tent. We secured the end in the sliding glass door by closing the door around the end, partially wedging it in the frame. We put a large piece of cardboard above the opening, but will need to find a better way to secure it to keep the cats from pushing it out before I leave them without constant supervision. (One of our cats is an escape artist). As with all square spaces, there are triangular shaped openings around the circular fun run, even when secured in the door. This means small cats, or cats who can squeeze themselves into small spaces, may be able to use this as an avenue of escape if the fun run isn't secured immovably. I may try to create a plywood insert for our door, and cut a hole for the entrance/paint it/etc. just for a more permanent nicer-looking solution, but for now, I don't mind just using the cardboard and keeping an eye on them. All in all, I spent $60 between the fun run and tent. Since my condo has a lot of stringent rules regarding porch spaces, this is perfect for our situation. I like having indoor cats, but I am happy to provide themselves some outdoor time too.

Made my Indoor Cat an Indoor/Outdoor Cat without Cat Fights or Being Hit by a Car!
The ABO Gear Fun Run is an excellent product that allowed me to make my indoor cat an outdoor cat too!. I took this fun run and cut out one of the ends and fitted it around the dog door, so when the cat goes out the dog door, it goes right into the ABO Gear Fun run. We then linked 3 of the Fun Run's together and the "tunnel" weaves through the garden outside and then comes to a dead end inside the tunnel. This keeps our cat safe from Alley Cats, Cars and other hazards outside. Our cat Megacat LOVES to go outside at will, when ever he wants, in the daytime to sun bathe or at night to sleep under the stars. On many occasions he "claws" like he is scratching his cardboard scratch pad thru the ABO Gear Fun Run to the Coconut Coir Based Mat below, but has not damaged the ABO Gear Fun run one bit. Im surprised, since MegaCat has razor sharp claws that have broken my skin more than once! So the fabric on this product is quite durable. The only way I was ever able to put a small puncture in the ABO Gear fun run was when I was trying to make a "cat walk" above the garden and elevated the ABO gear fun run with some metal stakes and the stakes punctured the fun run material (although it wasnt bad). Tip: You do need to pay attention to the zippers that seal the ends of the fun run. I would recommend using a nylon tie to "zip tie" the zipper shut as I have found over time, it may loosen. MegaCat has never escaped the fun run and LOVES to spend out time, and I like that he is SAFE.

Sturdy, stinky, annoying to re-coil/ put away. But overall good purchase
Very very stiff, hard to re coil to put away. When open, sanbag pouches x2 and screen, if you have open flop around, dangle from ends. No pocket or otherwise to hide them away. latch with loop used to hold folded ends together not the best. Trying to hold spring loaded ends and feel around for latch and loop, they are matching black, not an easy task. Has odor, will need to air out for few days. Mesh can be ripped w cat nails but it would really take some doing and time unmonitored. Finally got this when priced dropped. Very sturdy, material case it stores in not the greatest, thin material. Overall good

Great Cat Enrichment!
I love this tunnel! A friend gave me the Outback Jack tent- her cats didn't like it. So as soon as I set it up and saw the quality (and made sure my cats liked it!) I hopped on here and got the tunnel extension. I set up the tent on my porch and run the tunnel through my herb garden so the cats can get "up close" to the bird feeder. This brand is very sturdy. I have 3 cats at a time in it, and have even left it outside (empty, of course) over night with no issues. No problems snagging on kitty claws, the wooden porch, or particularly woody herbs. It zips into the tent with no issues. I will definitely get more kitty enclosures from this brand!

Great tunnel
I bought this tunnel to go with the ABO tent that I already have. I wanted to be able to leave the tent on the patio and connect the tunnel to it from the apartment. It works ok for this. I had read other reviews that indicated the tent zipped around the tunnel. It does, sorta. With heavy play from my two cats, the zipper eventually slides leaving gaps that the cats can fit through. I have to check every few minutes to ensure my cats are still in the tent. Perhaps some zip-ties would help, I haven't tried that yet. I had actually hoped I could zip them together somehow, but that's not an option. Aside from that, the tunnel is great. It pops up with no effort and holds its form very well. My cats use it to run from the apartment to the tent and back again...and again...and again...for as long as I'll allow them to. My cats are indoor cats, but at our last place I had built a large outdoor cat enclosure...this is a much smaller option but so far they seem quite happy with it. I do agree with some of the other reviews that indicated the tunnel alone might feel too confining. I left the tunnel out for a while for my cats to get used to and only one of them would go in it. The others would go in the entrance and quickly turn back around. But it works great with the tent if you have the space/ability. The tunnel and tent are both made with mesh materials, so you will need to keep your cats clawed trimmed to keep them from catching. This hasn't been a big deal for me as I trim their claws regularly anyway, but I felt it was worth mentioning.

Great concept, poor design
I wrote a 3 star review on 06/17/2013 describing durability problems, and I also sent that review to the manufacturer (which I thought at the time was a futile effort), then purchased a new one in 2017--BIG DIFFERENCE!!!! The fragile yellow fabric that I complained about has been replaced with a thicker and much more durable fabric and I am very pleased to change the rating from 3 stars to 5 STARS!!! THANK YOU, ABO GEAR! BEFORE BEING CRITICAL OF DESIGN, I WANT TO SAY THAT WE AND OUR CAT LOVE THIS PRODUCT AND WILL CONTINUE TO PURCHASE AND USE IT--IF IT WERE MORE DURABLE IT WOULD GET 5 STARS. I sent the product to the manufacturer with this letter, hoping that they would make the product more durable--got no reply. March 17, 2013 ABO Gear 820 Church Street Decatur GA 30030 FUN RUN DESIGN SUGGESTIONS We have been using Fun Run since 2010; our cat loves it and so do we. However, there are design flaws that severely limit durability. The product that I am sending to you has been in service for just 3 months, and as you can see we have been repairing it for 2 months. The mesh is always unbelievably durable; we have never had a problem with it in spite of cat claws. Unlike the mesh, the delicate yellow material that fastens the wire to the mesh is more suited to ladiesโ panties than to the tough job assigned to it. We expect to start repairing it about a month after going into service. Tougher material, such as canvas or leather, would work better. We have repaired it by wrapping automotive wire or nylon wire ties around the spring wire to hold the mesh in place. And the white plastic parts on the ends that hold the spring wire in place are sure to cause problemsโboth with the end of the wire slipping out and with the groove in the plastic coming off the other wire . I have had some success lately using Permatex Thread Locker to hold the end of the wire in the plastic. And my attempt to prevent the grooved portion from coming loose on my new Fun Runโwire ties to hold it in place. Also notice the safety pin I use to keep the cat from opening the zipper with his nose. So, unless you are using planned obsolescence as a marketing tool, I urge you to improve the durability of the product by changing design and materials. Thanks

nice as a stand-alone or as part of the Happy Habitat tent
We have three cats, and a screened-in lanai, but our newest guy (a now 6-month old kitten) is a little hyper and we worry about him being let out on the lanai with the pool out there. So after looking into all the options, including my husband building a custom enclosure, we decided to get the Happy Habitat tent and this "Fun Run" so that the kitten could have a little room to move around.. In its folded state and in its carrying case, the Happy Habitat is very lightweight and VERY compact. When you pull it from the carrying case, it unfolds out into the tube, and once "popped" up, this thing covers a lot of ground. Plenty of room for my kitten to run back and forth a bit and get some energy out. It's not enough space for serious exploring, but it's plenty of space for one or more cats to walk around a bit, sniff the fresh air, and stretch out in the sunshine. There's also plenty of room in it for a litterbox and a few toys and food and water. The entire surface of the Fun Run is made from a thick mesh. My kitten tried climbing it a few times and didn't topple it or tear it, so I feel fairly safe about letting him hang out in the tent for a little bit. All in all, I'm thrilled we have that. Now that the weather is cooling down a bit here in Florida, we can open the back doors, let the older cats relax on the lanai, and now the little guy can go out there, too, without us worrying too much about his safety. I'm actually going to order another one for my parents' cat- they live in a 6th floor condo with a balcony that is NOT screened in, and I know their cat would LOVE to spend some time outside in the sunshine every so often. This is a great idea. Highly recommended!

Kitties are so happy and so are we!
This is an excellent play tunnel! We have the play tent of the same brand too. But our cats did not use the play pen much because cats never like to be trapped -especially outdoors- for their safety, so we wanted to find an open and safe way for them to enter the house without having to buy tons of stuff such as cat doors and special doors and cages...etc. So, we measured the circle of the tunnel and cut a hole in the screen door, hooked one end of the tunnel into it and hooked the other end in the play tent. It worked perfectly. They are now playing the in-and-out-game as much as they please and are enjoying the outdoor safely. You'll find good details with both the tent and the tunnel such as little bags to store the net and a bag to store the tunnel. The zippers are good quality and they fit easy together. Good value for money! We want one more tunnel and playpen for sure.

Good item. I bought it with the ABO Gear ...
Good item. I bought it with the ABO Gear 'tent'. My cat is ok with the tent but not too sure yet about the fun run but i think he will get used to it. I had to return first one due to a small tear but returning with Amazon was easy and I think i had the replacement within two days.

Bigger than I expected which was nice cause I have tubby lazy indoor cats
Bigger than I expected which was nice cause I have tubby lazy indoor cats. I keep one side of it open to let my cats come and go from the balcony, they have accepted the tunnel compromise. Now I don't have to worry about one of them jumping off the balcony, what a relief!

Very good, larger than I expected
Very good, larger than I expected. My fat cat fits right threw normally walking or running, and he loves it. Connected this with the compound tent from the same seller.
