Nice sable brushes for mini painting
After a delivery snaffu (drver issue not seller issue) i was able to re-order these brushes. Theyre very nice and definitely natural hair. The sizes are perfect for mini figure painting. They hold a point well and retain their shape. They are soft with a gentle spring. They should be easy to use for anyone that is transitioning from synthetic brushes. They come with a protective sizing that must be rinsed out before use to keep them pointed while shipping. They also have protective tubes on the furrels and come in a nice case. They are thirsty and hold a lot of water so they should dry out too fast for detail work. As always dont let paint get into the furrel, wash with brush cleaner, and condition as needed to maintain shape. These brushes are quite nice and worth the cost if you are wanting to try sable but dont have big money.

Great brushes for the price.
Excellent brushes. Aesthetically very pleasing with the golden tip handles. Used these a few times already and they have been great with my ongoing projects. Once they dry out a bit they do fray a little bit but the tips come right back once you wet them. And put the paint back on. Very impressed and very happy that I was able to find some decent brushes without breaking the bank. Compared to the cheaply made brushes I find on Amazon and bought out of necessity, which fray and don't come back to a point,im one satisfied dude.

10/10 purchase for the price, not even a question.
I'm not sure if I just got lucky, but these brushes are incredible for how much they cost. I have spent $40+ each on a Windsor & Newton size 2 and 3 brushes. I've spent $25+ on a few Scale 75 Scalecolor brushes. For under $30 you get 5 brushes ranging from tiny detail brushes to regular workhorse sizes. Hell, the largest brush in this pack is bigger than my W&N size 3. I don't know if these are kolinsky sable as they say, but I can day that they look and feel EXACTLY like my expensive brushes, from the volume they hold in the belly, the point at the tip, and the spring they have. As long as you care for your brushes and clean & condition them after each session, I can see these lasting a good long time. I will absolutely be buying a few more packs of these just to have as backups.

good beginner brush set
i am a novice and this is my first animal hair paint brush. some of the brushes i bought at the art stores was a waste of money. i only get to use once and they start losing hairs, the ends starts to hook and i would have to cut the end and wouldn't retain its shape. i could have bought student/artist grade paints with the money i spent on most of the art store bought beginner brushes. i haven't used all brushes in this set yet, only the 2 largest grade brushes so far. UPDATE: the #0 is already wasted and thrown away. it started losing hair and the hair would stick in the painting. i tried to remove the excess paint with a rag before dipping in the linseed oil and half of the hair came off!!! 😱 UPDATE#2: the brushes don't form a tip anymore.

awesome brushes
I've used these for around forty hours over the past week to paint miniatures with acrylic metallic and non-metallic paints. I usually use raphael 8404 and W&N series 7. The quality of these AIT brushes are on par or better than those in my experience so far. I'm very happy to have tried these brushes and will continue to use them. They hold their points well and have a nice spring that I like. Pictured are size 4 and size 2 after around forty hours of use (I also take really good care of my brushes). I haven't used the smaller brushes included yet but I suspect they are as good as the larger. Totally worth grabbing if looking for some sick affordable brushes.

Amazing THANK YOU!!!!
Hooooooly crap!!!!! I’m such in love with these brushes I have another set in my shampooing cart but was so happy I just had to write this review. Being a bartender and cocktail consultant and the state of the worlds health I’m not working and making the amazing money I use to. So I picked up commission painting minis and figures. I’ve bought so many brushes cheap and expensive and results on my work weren’t where I wanted and I knew it was because of the brushes. I’ve spent a lot of money on brushes😩😒 But let me tell u these brushes I love and the quality control is amazing. A lot of people don’t know or understand that sable hair brushes are real hair so you may have to do some trim up prep-work on ur brushes b4 using them if not you may get upset (that was me) and the hobby turns u off. But even buying these expensive brushes and doing prep work (which I did none with this set of brushes) some of those expensive brushes get weak to soft can’t hold a point. Absolutely not the case with these brushes, man thank you for this. And the price for a set of 5 is literally the price of just one expensive horrible quality controlled brushes from the other guys. Man thank you. I can hobby in Peace.

Outperformed the overpriced Series 7's and still keep their shape after years of use.
I've been painting over ten years and have gone through lots of different brands of brushes. I bought this set and used for a few months then decided to "upgrade" and purchased some series 7's. Sometimes I'd be in the middle of a session thinking I was using the series 7 and realize it was one of these brushes instead. Long story short the 7's have already lost their tips and are completely frayed, less than a year old and 4 x the price. So you are much better off spending your money on these sables as they still keep their shape very well and still hold paint consistently.

Okay but not the quality I had hoped for.
Meh, the tip tends to split on the K20R-2 brush even though I have used my “The Masters Brush Cleaner and Preserver” which is keeping my much cheaper brushes nice and sharp. The K20R-4 brush is very large for miniatures but would be good for terrain features. The other brushes are very small and thin. I was hoping for better performance and did not receive it.
