So delicious, the perfect gift for someone with a sweet tooth!
Shiroi Koibito is so yummy and not perishable/has a pretty long shelf life, I highly recommend getting this for someone with a sweet tooth who likes to have some sort of treat that isn't too overwhelmingly sugary! Pairs well with tea & has the nicest crunchy texture on the outside and creamier texture on the inside from the white/milk chocolate.

Great Cookies
Great cookies. These cookies are very similar to all the cookies I brought back from Japan. Iโve noticed Japanese cookies are relatively expensive. However, they taste fantastic! 24 pieces for $24.00 isnโt too bad. Iโve have had cookie packages of 10 piece of less for around $11-$13; therefore, this is a decent deal. The package is very cute which is typical for a Japanese snack. It is also stated on the packing that the cookies are made in Hokkaido. ๐๐ผ Will definitely repurchase again.

Crisp, delicious sandwich cookies in a pretty package
I love how thin, crispy and delicious the cookies are. I would actually prefer them without the filling, but theyโre really good either way. They remind me only slightly of Milano cookies, but these are way better, due to the thinner and much crispier cookie. These also come with white chocolate and dark chocolate filling. Surprisingly, I like the white better, even though Iโm not a big fan of white chocolate. Both flavors are quite tasty. Bonus: the packaging is absolutely lovely, and it comes with an insert showing other products (too bad I canโt read Japanese). I donโt know if a gift wrap is standard, or if mine only came that way due to the holidays. Regardless, the box itself is nice, and the individual wrapping of the cookies is perfect! These cookies make a great gift for anyone you want to give a pleasant surprise. Iโll order these again.

perfect portion
I set these out during games at a get-together late last year and everyone thought they were wonderful. I don't typically like white chocolate but it was light but creamy.

One of the most overrated edible souvenirs you can get from Japan!
Japan is known to have many different and quirky souvenirs they sell, including the edible variety. They showcase what the places in Japan specialize in and they even gift wrap the things that westerners would otherwise think it's unnecessary to do so. There are a lot of great edible souvenirs to choose from. However, this is not one of them! In fact, despite its freshness and a hint of lemon zest, itโs too sweet! Even the dark chocolate is much sweeter than the white chocolate, which is very odd. It's surprising that even the export version, the "Hokkaido no Koibito", is better with its buttery flavor and balanced sweetness! At least this Shiroi Koibito selection is the best value of the Shiroi Koibito series. Nevertheless, it's as though you can simply make a much better version by yourself thatโs not so sweet. In fact, you might as well go for the separate Langue de Chat cookies sold in the many Japanese markets, like the Daiso stores, then make the filling close to how this company makes it. The sweetness from those cookies from Daiso is just right and has a nice hint of vanilla!
