The 'Right' Peat Moss for My Aeration Needs
Well...I LOVE quality peat moss as a 'texturizer' in my beds; have for years. I particularly LOVE this product from Premier Horticulture because it doesn't include large stems and things 'unpack' from the compressed bag to be 'nice and fluffy.' I'm buying (and reviewing) this product in September because I believe organics need to 'overwinter' in the soil for their value to be available to plants in the next growing season. I also have mineral rich but otherwise troublesome red clay soil in my beds so winter is the time for me to aerate and improve the 'tilth' in any way I can think of doing, Peat moss is just a part of that since I am also mixing in azomite for trace minerals, gypsum pellets to chemically break up the structure of clay and blood meal (to offset the loss of nitrogen as the peat most decomposes. I am an Amazon shopper by preference and it should be no surprise that I found each of these soil amendments on Amazon. In my experience, Amazon is the most convenient way to select the best ingredients, sourced from a network of affiliates, that gives me much more choice of high quality amendments than 'big box store' buyers tend to order.

Helps an ailing lawn like no other!
Our weed control company recommended we use Peat Moss to help our sad looking yard and this brand really made a difference! It was good quality and spread easily. We used three bags for our entire front and side yards. We reapplied after rains and it’s done wonders. We now have a lush green lawn once again!

Love the product only complaint is the shape the packaging was in .
The product is solid but the packaging was damaged and dirty when I received it .
