Open box? Not what I paid for. [update - tool works great!]
Rating of tool: 5/5Rating of Amazon: 1/5Dear Amazon, this product was sold as a new item, and while the Amazon packaging was sealed, the product packaging had been opened, the charger is missing, AND THE BATTERY HAD SOMEONE'S NAME IN SHARPIE. This is nothing against the tool itself, which appears well made and suitable for my needs. As I already have other Worx products, I have other chargers... But really. Do better. The tool itself is actually pretty fun to use - it is sharp and cuts fantastic, is light and maneuverable. It makes short work of light duty around the house. Way better than the old B&D corded version that I used to have. I haven't had to charge the battery yet, seems to last pretty well. The only thing that I wish is if I could use it one-handed to reach further up or back... but due to the safety mechanisms you really do need two hands on the wheel at all times... that being said, given what it is and can do, that's not a bad policy.

Excellent small trimmer
Great trimmer for a great price. Assembly only took a couple of minutes and the battery pack charged quickly. Usage exceeded my expectations - it handled tall grass and weeds, bushes, and branches (less than 1/2") quite easily and quickly. It is light weight - no issues using it in a vertical position at shoulder height with full control. Great time saver on trimming back the growth along a 1.7-mile bike trail with a single charge.

great trimmer, cuts through tough growth.
Just tried this out today, and surprisingly not cheap at all despite the very affordable price. I would highly recommend. It took care of my climbing roses which had become overgrown. We also have trees that have branches that spring from the ground and need to be periodically trimmed down about 1/3 inch thick when they grow in thick and this hedger sliced through them effortlessly. There was a couple moments where it caught on the actual roots of the tree, (things that were clearly too thick for a hedge trimmer to cut through) and it started up again just fine. The battery pack is great, which means no running a cable and risk accidentally cutting through it. The set up was very easy as long as you have a screwdriver.

Good cordless trimmer for the price, but the battery level indicator doesn't work.
The trimmer works well with good power and decent battery life. It really ripped through my shrubbery quickly and efficiently for the most part, and the battery was still going after about 40 minutes of trimming. It claims it can cut through 3/4 of an inch which would be a stretch. It hung up on smaller twigs than that. The trimmer is lightweight and easy to handle and use. The blades appear to be solidly built and durable. It was a little louder than I thought it would be but nothing too bad. I would have given it 5 stars, but the battery level indicator on the battery itself does not function. You can't see how much juice it has left. It also didn't come with blade guards which isn't a huge deal. Overall, it was a good product for the Prime Day price I paid.

Great hedge trimmer
Great hedge trimmer! Love it. It is sturdy, easy to use because you just hold the handle on top and hit the switch with the other hand. It stops when you let go of the switch even if you have the top handle compressed. I like that. Battery life is good too. Not too heavy to use for a long period of time and no cord behind you is a plus. ;) I'd buy this again.

Great for Lazy People
Here's my wife's review of this product:I bought this after reading the review here from the 68-year-old woman. I figured if she could use this, so could I. I'm in my 40s, but I'm lazy, short, and hate yardwork with a passion. I live on a little farm and I usually think that if I really want any greenery trimmed back, I can adopt a goat. But recently the path from my house to my barn and my driveway have both gotten pretty overgrown with blackberries and other bushes and trees. Not only do I not enjoy getting hit in the face with bushes, but the company that picks up our garbage told us we need to trim our driveway because they don't want their garbage truck to get scratched. And since I really don't have time for a goat right now, I figured I'd have to do some trimming. After gazing in despair at my manual clippers, I thought, "There's got to be a better way!" (yes, just like a dummy in an infomercial). So I did some research on Amazon and got this little number.I didn't want anything that was harder to operate than an electric toothbrush. I didn't want to deal with cords, or gasoline, or having to read instructions. I didn't want anything heavy or unweildy. This fit the bill perfectly. I charged up the battery, put on some safety goggles and went to town. This trimmer was so light and easy to use; you can switch directions and hands at will, and it cuts through bushes like butter. I even chopped through some pretty significant branches (thicker than 3/4 inches across) with no problems. I used it for 45 minutes and it didn't run out of charge. Whacking at things with this tool is actually really fun.So if you are:- Lazy- Short- Weak- Not into yardwork. . . but also:- Don't like getting hit in the face with bushes walking around in your own yard- Don't want to get yelled at for your bushes scratching someone's garbage truck- Are too busy to adopt your own goats. . . then this trimmer is for you! This would probably also work out just great for someone strong, tall, and motivated, but I can't speak to that from personal experience. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Works well, easy and light to use
Great little trimmer. Much easier than trailing cords across the yard.
User
Light and excellent!
This works sooo good, I don’t know why I didn’t buy it sooner. Made hedge trimmer a dream.

Good machine
Does the job, but you have to hold it by two hands to make it work, due to the safety button... I can't reach far to trim large plants.
