Easy fix for a cracked plastic water line
This is the perfect item to splice a broken water line on a fridge. The water lines for an icemaker or water dispenser usually come from a couple solenoid valves at the bottom of the refrigerator. Here they get exposed to constant hot air produced by the compressor and the condenser coil. Over time the heat causes the tubing dry out and crack. This coupler allows you to easily splice in a new section of tubing to replace the defective area. Note the size on this item is for 5/16" plastic tubing.

Just perfect
We have a profile GE fridge and the water froze in the tube. Intried to disconnect the coupler and yanked it out which broke off the coupler. (Did not know the trick to push and pull). I found this on Amazon and got it. It clicked easily and in under 10 seconds it was all connected. Great price, quality, and easy

Works great for Kenmore side by side
Couldn't find a water line tube connector of the right size (5/16 x 5/16) on the searsdirect website, the Sears store, Lowes, etc for our Kenmore side by side refrigerator to repair a cracked water line under the fridge that connects to the ice maker. However, a Sears sales associate advised me to look for a compatible part from another brand. That lead me to this GE water line tube connector. It fit perfectly, easy to install, and works great! If you need any help installing, search for the part number WR02X11330 on youtube and you'll find a short video showing how to install this part. In my case, I just had to remove a section of the water line that was cracked and then used this connector to join the two remaining ends of the tube.

good
little did we know that after you unhook the ice machine water hose, you have to re-cut the hose before re-atttaching. Or, we would not have bought a new connector. :-( it was cheap and we learned - via internet searches becasue when we hooked this one up it leaked too (not the connector but the hose - the cutting the hose thing! It did not come with instructions is why we left out that hose cut part. Anyway... it works. and gets a star less for no instructions included.

Saved My GE Refrigerator - Official Part!!!
I own a GE Profile refrigerator. It came with the house I bought and I never had to deal with moving it. Well when time came to sell my house, I decided to take the refrigerator with me, since after all, the house I was buying didn't have one. While moving, I ran into the problem of the refrigerator being to big for the door!!! So to get it to fit, I had to take the doors off. Everything came off pretty quickly and easily. The problem though, was the part I'm reviewing. FYI, it's officially called a union connector. Upon removal of the connector, it bent/destroyed the metal "teeth" that keeps the water line in place. When time came to reassemble the door, the house kept falling out because the metal "teeth" didn't grip the water line to keep it flush against the rubber O-ring in the connector. Thus I had slow drip water leaks. I went to Lowe's thinking they had the part and they did, but it was a 3rd party connector. While I don't doubt that it works, it didn't work on my refrigerator. The leaks persisted and thus, I came to Amazon to see if they had the part... and they did! Since having purchased the item on Amazon, it works beautifully. It came in a GE bag, looks identical to the one I broke, and MOST IMPORTANTLY STOPPED MY LEAK!!

Me pareció excelente encontrar este conector en línea pues ni los de servicio técnico de serviplus lo tenían. Me daban dias para conseguirlo hasta que después de una semana decidi buscar en Amazon y fue la mejor opción. Lo recomiendo
