Caldera Hot & Cold Therapy Gel - 10" x 15"

Love the large size and the consistency of the gel. It takes a bit to get it warmed up in the microwave but works great in the freezer! Mine stays in the freezer all the time so it is ready when needed. Since it is a gel, you can move it around to fit the area you want to have most exposure to the cold. They last a long time and work great on knees, feet, back, etc. I like that I can wrap it around my knee in towel and get a big portion of the area that I need iced. Hard to find in local drug stores and big box stores these days but was happy to see it on Amazon. I have some of their other sizes as well and love them to.

Repeated heating in Microwave will eventually destroy this item. However it works well. Best for freezing, works for both. Good value.

After a hard day's work I heat it up in the microwave and it retains the heat that is needed for my aches and pains. I keep it in the freezer and take it with me when I go grocery shopping to keep my items in my cooler cold until I get home. It's great for placing in the bottom of a cooler with juice bottles or pop cans, the liquid comes out a little icy and very refreshing. Definitely worth the purchase due to its lightweight durable construction ease of use and functionality are all top notch reasons why this particular item is suitable for many needs. I purchased one for my friend as a gift and she loves hers as well.

I have been shopping around for a gel ice pack big enough to go over both of my knees. I have patellar femoral syndrome, so my knee caps lack enough cartilage to cushion against friction/rubbing. As a result, I have very sore knees after a long day at work. (I am on my feet all day.) This pack gets very very cold and stays flexible still. I lent it to a relative with a sore wrist and she was able to wrap it almost completely around her wrist. For my knees it works great for a 15-20 minute ice therapy session after work. It’s big enough that I can put my knees together and mold it across both. I haven’t tried to heat the pack up because I bought it solely to be an ice pack.

I purchased these as extras for the caldera 3 piece set. I figured it would be nice to have extras to use as heat, while using the ones in the 3 piece set for cold. I like them a lot better for cold than for hot. When heating, I find they are too hot at the beginning and cool quickly, under 20 minutes and if I heat for shorter amount of time, they are not warm enough. For cold, they work very well, they remain cold for the recommended 20 minutes. The quality of the gel packs are good, there is no leakage and they seem to be good quality. Cannot say enough about the Caldera 3 piece set though, you can see my review on Amazon.

I primarily use this cold for minor muscles strains, and it seems to help. I keep it in the fridge at all times, so I can pull it out and use immediately. It stays cold for about 15 minutes. The size is just right for placing on top of or behind the knee, or wrapping around an ankle or arm.

Arrived very quickly, and am very impressed with the product! It freezes like a soft gel and I'd icy cold. It stays cold for about 4-5 hours then stays cool. It's more then big enough and cover it with a hand towel and place it under my pillow case. The cold is so soothing, and really helps with my pain. I highly recommend this product, for the cold. Haven't tried it for the heating aspect. Hope it brings people pain relief! 😉

Perfect following my knee replacement op. Large enough to wrap round almost the entire knee.

Our family requires ice-packs for a variety of reasons, from injuries to migraine headaches, so we have tried several different brands. To date, these seem to be the ones that continue to function the longest and have had the fewest problems. Most other brands we tried would work initially and then, after 10-15 uses, would only stay cold for five minutes. These ones do start to lose their ability to stay cold over time, but it seems to take much longer for them to do so. Other brands that we've tried also seem to develop leaks fairly quickly. We have had only one Caldera ice pack leak, and that was one that we had probably abused to beyond its expected lifespan. (We have had many more Caldera ice packs than others.) Overall, we definitely recommend these.

i used to use the disposable one use headache patches but they have been discontinued in my area and they are stupidly expensive online so i bought this instead. problem solved and money saved! only used it for cold use and i store it in the fridge and it is nice and cold against a warm head for at least 30 mins!

It's a nice size 6"x6" and the insides are gel, so not too liquidy and they don't freeze all the way so can still be a little squishy if you need to mold it around a shoulder or knee or anything. I like that you can heat it up too, however I generally need cold and haven't tried heating it yet. I bought a couple of these so I could always have one in the freezer while one is on and then switch it out so I don't have to wait for it to get cold again. It feels like a good plastic and the seal looks excellent - so far no leaks which is nice.
