This works great hot and cold
After a hard day's work I heat it up in the microwave and it retains the heat that is needed for my aches and pains. I keep it in the freezer and take it with me when I go grocery shopping to keep my items in my cooler cold until I get home. It's great for placing in the bottom of a cooler with juice bottles or pop cans, the liquid comes out a little icy and very refreshing.Definitely worth the purchase due to its lightweight durable construction ease of use and functionality are all top notch reasons why this particular item is suitable for many needs.I purchased one for my friend as a gift and she loves hers as well.

exactly what I was looking for
I have been shopping around for a gel ice pack big enough to go over both of my knees. I have patellar femoral syndrome, so my knee caps lack enough cartilage to cushion against friction/rubbing. As a result, I have very sore knees after a long day at work. (I am on my feet all day.)This pack gets very very cold and stays flexible still. I lent it to a relative with a sore wrist and she was able to wrap it almost completely around her wrist. For my knees it works great for a 15-20 minute ice therapy session after work. It’s big enough that I can put my knees together and mold it across both.I haven’t tried to heat the pack up because I bought it solely to be an ice pack.

Soft freeze-long lasting temp!
BEST quality! My chiropractor uses these and I’m so glad he recommended them! They are the only brand I know that don’t freeze rock hard and stay cold a long time!

Great gel packs for icing therapy
I recently started experiencing lower lumbar and sacrum issues for which I'm seeing a chiropractor. It was his suggestion that a good self-care thing to do at home after a chiropractic adjustment is to ice my lower back to avoid the muscles from spasming and pulling my sacrum out of alignment against. These Caldera gel packs fit very nicely in my freezer and they provide so much good relief. I can actually feel my back getting better when I use these gel packs to ice my lumber region! The size of these gel packs to cover my lower lumber and sacrum area is just perfect!

Well worth the cost
I bought this for a few reasons one being I needed for my migraines (I lay my head on the pack) and this one not only got cold it stayed cold for hours. It also stayed soft and malleable so that laying on it didn't hurt at all. I could also use it on other parts of the body easily since it would bend and cover areas. I decided to get a second one and another by them that is a bit smaller. The only problem I ran into was one corner leaked a little. I taped it and it's worked fine with that repair. This is why I didn't give it a five star rating.

Great for any injury
Perfect for any injury. Easy to store and clean. Be careful as they are fragile but they are very effective.

Great Product, Wasteful Packaging
So I’ve been using these cold packs for years, and they are great! I keep a rotating supply of them in the freezer because I need one daily, and they usually take a few days to really freeze properly. My issue is with the packaging. This product is shipped and sold by Amazon, a company that claims sustainability to be one of their core leadership principles. I ordered 3 of these. Each one was individually wrapped in a non-recyclable, plastic bag. You can buy these in the store with zero packaging. There’s no reason for them to be individually wrapped and DEFINITELY not in non-recyclable, plastic bags. Come on, Amazon! It’s 2024! Do better! Do you ACTUALLY believe in your own leadership principles, or is it all lip service and marketing mumbo jumbo?!
