Wealth of important information..
I choose to buy this book for only one reason:- I came across the "Healthytarian" video featuring Evita Ochen on the Youtube. I was quite taken by how she explains everything and couldn't stop myself from watching one video after another. In her videos she advertised her book (1st through 3rd edition).So as the result, I searched it on Amazon and two days later it was in my mail. I read a great portion of it within few hours. It offers a great wealth of information, the background history and story behind all what it is Health, Healing through food etc.I like almost everything about this book, except for some features: the font of the letters, the book reads as a story (i.e no images, not charts, no numbers, no graphics, lack of colors etc) - really BORING!!! Boring not because of the lack of these features, but because it simply could be read as a novel. Evita, based on your videos on Healthytarian and your website, this book is a big downfall. You could have done a much better job, just like you make sure to bring liveliness to your videos and your website. The font of the letters are so tiny that you can't help but feel that you could easily read this online. Don't bother buying this book in a hardcopy. Get yourself a Kindle. That's my recommendation.p.s: sorry if my tone sounds a bit harsh. I am not trying to be mean. Just being direct.

Of all the health gurus I have read, Evita seems to best understand and explain the foundations of healthy eating.
I can't say enough about Evita or this book. She is very, very idealistic which I love, in that she won't settle for less than the best for us; but amazingly she is also extremely accepting of everyone's individual starting points and encourages us all to start wherever we are, not biting off more than we can chew comfortably. I love that about her. She has a very scientific mentality, seeing clearly without any bias, letting us know the pros and cons of a subject so that we may decide best for ourselves how we might incorporate it into our diets. She is not telling us what to do, she is lovingly lifting us up towards health by using the light of reason to educate us so that we can once and for all understand completely and fully what is healthy so we are finally free from books, articles and the confusion of advertisements; now I am free to live! I have read quite a few books on healthy eating, but Evita seems to best understand and explain the foundations of healthy eating. This is the last book on eating I will ever need to read, it makes that much sense. She does not subscribe to single bullet theories, she does not flaunt the latest fads that will be gone in a couple of years after they have been deemed unhealthy for us in the end, and there is nothing that she wants us to buy other than healthy, life sustaining foods. Thank you Evita, for making it very clear and simple how we can eat for optimum health.

Well Rounded Resource
I was given this book as a gift from a friend. It isn't normally a book that I would read due to being in the holistic medical field for over 20 years. I feel have a pretty solid knowledge about Nutrition and Wellness. That being said, I enjoyed this book and often recommend it to my clients. Evita does a wonderful job of simplifying and educating people about all areas of nutrition and health. She also includes information about the the Mind/Body connection which is often a missing link for many people. This is a well rounded resource of useful information that anyone can use immediately after reading. Thank you Evita for sharing your knowledge and insight.

Loving it
As a personal trainer I have am looking to get my nutrition certificate. Since I don't have one I need to help my clients out with a bit of nutrition and to be honest this is a great book to get some insight on what and how to eat holistic.

Full of Nutritional Information
I am so glad I found Evita on YouTube where I learned of this kindle book. I want to eat healthier and now I have the information as to how and what to eat.

Really balanced good book
I read an article by the author online and had to buy her book. What spoke to me was the balance of it and holistic nature. I’m better able to listen to my body and see through the propaganda. Basic, simple, real. I greatly appreciate this book and everything the author has offered online.

Get Healed the Natural Way
Very well documented. The whole book follows the principle of, "Let thy food be thy medicine, and thy medicine be thy food" Hippocrates. If this is your life style, you will absolutely love this book, and the information therein. If you still follow the currently promoted and practiced Health advice from regular physicians, this book will steer you into a food regime, which is, and has been proven to be healthier than trying to control your conditions with Pharmaceutical treatment. Eating the right food, satiates you, while giving your body the proper nutrition. My actual monthly food cost was reduced as well, in addition to the savings from not needing to buy medicine. Love it.

Great, easy read, very thought provoking
I'm nearly done reading this book and have already learned so much. It has made me more inquisitive about the topics discussed, and even though I have been eating a plant based diet for 4 years, I feel I have gained more information on nutrition that will provide me with even more health benefits!
