Great Product! Buy it!
From the product: "INGREDIENTS Natural unbleached bee's wax and food grade mineral oil." Also, "...For best results let the cream soak into the wood overnight, then remove the excess with a paper towel." Ignore that instruction. You will need to do it more than once. That's not a bad thing, it's just unusual seeing the instructions for a product tell me to use too little, instead of too much. I used this on a new bamboo cutting board. It worked great and really soaked in well. But don't plan on using the cutting board for a day or two after you first start treating it. A new board will really soak this up, and you want to err on the side of too much (which you can wipe off) versus too little (which may leave the board insufficiently treated). My board is 11-3/4" x 15-3/4" x 1-1/2", bamboo, with rubber feet on the bottom. I treated the bottom and side of the board first, leaving a little extra coating on it. Then I placed the board on a layer of paper towels to minimize how much I might have to clean up from my kitchen counter. After I rubbed the cream into the top, I left it to stand overnight. In the morning, I was still able to rub more in. I checked back every couple of hours and rubbed in more. I kept finding a few spots that could absorb more of the cream, so I covered the whole thing again. Don't wipe it off until you are absolutely sure it can't absorb any more. By then, you'll have very little excess cream, and you'll basically buff it off with the paper towel. Your board will be darker, and look beautiful. You'll want to leave it out on the counter, it will look so good. I bought two of these creams thinking I would use a whole tube on my brand new cutting board. But, in writing this review, I stopped to weigh the two tubes (using a digital scale we have) to see how much I used. The unopened tube weighed 6.0 ounces, and the tube I used weighed 5.0 ounces. All of that cream I used as described above, and I still only used 1.0 ounce (by weight). The cream is measured in the tube by fluid ounces, but at this small a size, it really is close. So I used 1/5 of the tube on a brand new cutting board, and won't have to use an ounce every time I treat the board after cleaning. Great deal. I apologize for the long review, but I hope this helps you make your decision on which product to buy. This one has just what the websites say is great for your cutting board. I am really happy with it.

The ultimate good stuff for your wooden cutting boards
Take a look at the pictures. THIS STUFF WORKS! The Boos Block Mystery oil and the Boos Block Board Cream work as a team. Although you can use either/or. I highly suggest you use both to get the full effect of just how great these products are. If you have cutting boards that have never been treated or are old with lots of use on them, this stuff will make them better than new. It is a two step process if you want the maximum protection and conditioning. Takes a bit of time but well worth it. You invested some good money for those wood cutting boards so why not invest some time to make sure they last. To get started make sure boards are clean and dry. Pour Mystery oil on board and rub a coat of oil on the whole board (top, bottom, sides). Wait 5 minutes and wipe off the excess. Let board sit overnight or all day depending when you oiled it. After it sits overnight, take a look and see if there's any dry spots left or spots where it needs a touch up. If it looks good move on to the Board Cream. The oil can be drippy so take care for spills. I used a bath towel under and elevated the board on a wire rack w/ legs for air circulation. The cream is a mixture of food grade mineral oil and beeswax. Squeeze a line or two on the board and rub it on the whole board. I used my hands to smooth it and rub it into the board. It will form a creamy layer over the whole board. As with the oil you're going to let the board rest overnight or all day to allow for the cream to penetrate the board. Then wipe off any excess, buff with a clean dry towel, and get ready to see the results of your time and effort. Remember to keep wiping till all the excess cream is gone, then buff. This worked on ALL my boards regardless of wood type. Even treated a Bamboo bowl my wife uses and it came out great. Your board will look so nice you won't want to use it. Remember to use in conjunction with Boos Mystery Oil for best results. John Boos MYSB Mystery Butcher Block Oil, 16 ounces

Great board cream
One of the best board creams on the market. Apply hot in numerous very thin layers. May color slightly when put over wood stain. Lasts a while even if the price is steep

Amazing for oil-finished guitars
I have various oil-finished guitars that need occasional waxing and in lieu of Warwick’s official wax, this works amazing and it’s become the only thing I really trust on the instruments. Maybe the Dr. Duck’s ax wax didn’t ruin the one years ago like I thought, but Boos is the safest. Mineral spirits seem to strip any wax and oil products out of the wood well, but Boos is my only go-to for maintenance.

It's OK as an all in one, but there's better products.
I used a couple coats of this as the final step in prepping a new Catskill Super Slab cutting board after thoroughly oiling it. I think Boos board cream is decent if you're lazy and only want to do 1 step in cutting board maintenance or new board prep. The problem is that it's got so much mineral oil in it that it's hard to get a good wax coating without using the whole tube (which I did on my giant board). That would be fine if you are going to use several coats at a time and don't want to be bothered using an oil for moisture first, but at that point you could have done a coat of good board oil like Walrus Oil and then a standalone wax with less time and work. It's also not cost effective considering the $10 price tag on this cream. This stuff isn't bad, but I'll stick with Walrus Oil cutting board oil and board wax or some other solid board wax that isn't 50% mineral oil.

A True Multi-Tasker
Boos Board Block cream masquerades in an ordinary package, but it's a powerhouse product. To me it's a bit on the pricey side, but worth every penny. If you like to keep your cutting boards in good shape, this is the one to use. Nothing else comes close. There are two, easily pronounceable ingredients: unbleached bees wax and mineral oil. Occasionally, they separate, but that is solved by rotating the bottle as it's stored. The texture is slightly grainy, and there's a subtle scent. Nothing to overpower or interfere with food flavor. The best method of application (for me) is about a pea size dab, which is then worked into a section of the board. Add more as needed. The small size helps to conserve the product, really rub it in and allow whatever excess is left to soak in overnight. If needed, a paper towel can be used to wipe off any residue you find objectionable. My big discovery was using it as foot cream. It works well to seal moisture in after bathing and actually keeps it there for a couple days afterward. After my favorite small local business woman added a fragrance and sold her line, I went looking for another source. I found it in Boos! I don't have cracked, white splintered skin on my heels, but smooth, normal skin. In my opinion, Boos is a true winner, excelling at a couple of jobs.

Renewed my Dansk wood beautifully
I have a variety of mid century modern Dansk and this product did a great job of moisturizing the wood. I also used it on an antique table and it gave a good depth to the finish. Great product.

Keeps things nice ..
I presume this has worked well, because my chopping boards are in fine fettle! Interestingly I needed to find food grade beeswax for a stone [jasper] bowl which I'd bought. I hadn't realised this cream was food-grade beeswax until then, so I'm using it for other things now. You don't need a lot, so it lasts quite a time.

Vida para la madera
Vida para mis utensilios de madera. Me gusta más que los aceites que usaba hasta ahora.
