Wasabi Power Battery for GoPro HD HERO2, GoPro Original HD HERO and GoPro AHD...

My original battery was lasting just under an hour when recording video. I figured I'd give this one a try to see if I can get a bit more use out of it since I put the gopro under the fuselage of my plane and, obviously, can't access it during flights. I got this battery, charged it immediately over night and then stuck it in the gopro and let it record while facing out my office window as I worked. After 2 hours it finally beeped at me and shut itself off from a dead battery. I'm now ordering a second battery to put in the extended battery backpack I have for it so I'll get 4 hours of recording time. $18 for two of them to revive my old Hero 2 is a good deal in my mind.

This battery was purchased to replace the dead battery in my GoPro Hero camera. This is one of the first HD quality GoPro cameras that was released, so the battery was quite old. This replacement battery was a good price and the quality of the battery seems great so far. It charged up within the expected time and has performed quite well so far.

I purchased this battery for my extremely old camera and the battery came to me halfway charged After inserting the battery into my camera and plugging it in overnight to charge, the battery was completely depleted of all of its energy the next day, and I could no longer charge the battery to full in my camera. I’ve never seen a battery do this before in an item but at the same time it’s one of the very first GoPro that was released. I think it’s time to get a new one..

Feeling a little pressure for some reason to leave feedback ;), so here is what I have found after draining, charging, draining and charging again to get the batteries established, the first in-field charge lasted well enough, did not have the ability to compare to OEM but easily as good. Ran them twice in my GoPro, drained through 4 sets of these and all worked well, no issues, will recommending them for sure! Also, it seems the OEM battery label taped on the outside makes for a tight fit, suppose to be that way, so there is no chance of the battery jostling around in the unit and against the contact pins, these Wasabi units fit a little easier but still snug enough to achieve the same objective.

The suggestion was add some electrical tape to the battery to make it more stable in a GoPro camera. I made the mistake of wrapping the tape around the battery which did not allow the door to latch on. But the tape was easy to pull off. Second attempt was cut tiny strips (I needed two on each side) and run them just along the sides. The battery seemed to fit well length-wise.Once I had the two little strips of tape the battery fit nice and snug.Has a good long life and is very easy to charge either with the charging station or in the camera. I ordered the kit...it comes with two batteries so now I have three. Good thing about the kit it comes with car charger too!

I bought an as-is GoPro camera without a battery (or cover!?) on the cheap for a project, and needed a battery. This Wasabi battery was extremely cheap, and had good reviews so I thought, "Why not?"Why not indeed! This battery works just as well as the original's replacement IMO, as the battery has served me several weeks of light use, including the use of the back-screen attachment. To keep the battery in place without a cover, I merely use a rubber band. While looking extremely ghetto, I can enjoy the use of a GoPro for less than the price of eating out.This battery would be good to keep as an extra if you go out for an extrended trip with no way to recharge your batteries. Honestly for the price, you should at least keep one of these as a spare!

I love my GoPro. I don't love running out of juice part way through a white water rafting trip. I figured I'd pick up a couple of extra batteries for the GoPro. I heard good things about the Wasabi's so I picked up two of them. Now my original GoPro battery is in a drawer somewhere and these things are what I take with me. They give you a decent 20 - 30% boost in power. No issues what-so-ever. Thanks Wasabi! And if that isn't the name of a sushi place it certainly should be. Awesome name and great product.
