Sable & Rosenfeld Vermouth Tipsy Onions, Cocktail, Kosher, 5 oz, Pack of 6

My favorite martini onions. Not that real strong sour flavor. A flavor of its own!

I absolutely love these in my extra dry Gibson’s. When my favorite gourmet grocer dropped the product,I feared I may ever have the perfect cocktail again. Amazon to the rescue with this six pack of jars of the amazing cocktail onions soaked in vermouth! Sure, it may take me several years to work through six jars but I have ensured several years of the perfect drink. Here’s my recipe: 3-4 ounces of your favorite vodka (Ketel One or Hammer & Sickle for me). Place your martini glass in the freezer. Use a martini pick and place one of these onions on it. Put that in the freezer too. Wait ten minutes. Pour the vodka into a Boston shaker half filled with ice. Shake shake shake for 45-60 seconds. Take glass out of freezer and add the pick with the onion. Strain your martini into the glass. Finish with a spritz of dry vermouth from an atomizer or micro mister & serve. Perfecto!

It took forever for me to get this order for some unknown reason says Amazon. Once here (I have never ever seen in all my years of purchasing items online) packaging like this order! PERFECTION absolutely perfect packaging. Yet the product is the best EVER. Do not even think about those onions at the BIG BOX stores. Yes, these are more expensive, but they are soooooo PERFECT IN TASTE, SIZE, and the juice is so MAGNIFICENT. TRULY it will make you smile as you eat and drink it. I have tried to have a Gibson at many of the TRULY expensive restaurants and bars. They use the cheap and nasty ones- shameful. This product makes a BOMBAY GISBSON taste what it should be. Tipsy Onions are fab in my Plymouth Gin Martini! I put a bit of the juice in each one i make. Awesome!

These onions are nice, large and crispy - however they are sweeter than I anticipated. Personally, I prefer a more savory onion for maritinis. I am by no means disappointed with them. They are very flavorful and I love that they are large. If you prefer a cocktail onion a little on the sweet side these are a fantastic purchase. All of the onions I received were white - no browning at all and packaged very well.

A friend gave me a jar of these for a gift. I will tell you these are the best tasting vermouth onions I have ever had. I liked them so much I purchased a box of them. Once I received them 1 jar was broke and I contacted the seller. They were so accomidating that I received a whole new box instead of 1 jar! Talk about customer service! I use these in our Bloody Mary's and they are great. I have given some of the jars to friends and family who love them too.

I've been drinking Gibson's for years and these are hand's down my favorite onions: crisp, flavorful, white and excellent size. Though they are marinated in a mixture that includes vermouth, my personal preference is to pour out half the liquid contents and replace it with Noilly-Pratt French Dry Vermouth, which is also my all-time favorite. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend that you do. The only reason for the 4 star value is that if you can get to a good grocer, you can find these great onions for substantially less than Amazon's price.
