Original Healing Body Lotion for Extra Dry Skin, 16.9 FL OZ

Update 2: After a month of consistently applying this product on what was likely contact dermatitis inflamed skin all over my body, my skin is starting to feel almost normal again. My hands are also healed mostly of my psoriasis outbreak which seems like a miracle. I was able to start doing my nails again and I feel so much better. Full disclosure, I do sparingly apply Cortizone-10 (1% Hydrocortisone) Intensive Healing Lotion for Eczema to very itchy areas and I also used Aveeno Skin Relief Body Wash and Vanicream Gentle Body Wash. This Eucerin lotion is a reliable gem that I know won't sting even when I am experiencing the worst irritation. I am going to continue using it as my favorite hand cream even if I don't always use it as a body cream. One thing about using it as a body cream is that it is thick and hard to spread. I tend to prefer quickly spreading fragranced lotions for the body and may return to those if/when my skin is ready. Update: This superhero product has saved the day again! Unfortunately I ended up getting a very uncomfortable allergic reaction from another product. I don't usually have sensitive skin but developed very itchy bumps all over, where I used the other product. I knew what would help. I used the Eucerin Hydrating Cleansing Gel (face wash) as a body wash and then applied this Original Healing Lotion. After sleeping, the inflammation and itching felt more bareable and calmed. There is still redness but helping the itch makes it possible for the skin to heal. I will continue to keep both products in stock. The Gentle Face Wash I have been using for months and I purchased it to have an oil free face wash safe for DIY eyelash extensions. I discovered that it was also extremely gentle and pleasant to use as a hand wash for my psoriasis when everything else seemed to burn. I love these products! Original review: I am experiencing psoriasis on my hands which can be a painful and very debilitating condition. Aside from keeping my hands covered with gloves I have also tried several kinds of hand lotions such as Working Hands, Gloves in a Bottle, Workman's Friend, Gold bond (colloidal oatmeal), etc., and this "healing" lotion is the only one that truly soothes, CALMS, moisturizes and HEALS my hands without stinging and causing further irritation. Nothing else is as effective. Yes, this is a very sticky, thick and greasy lotion... But if your skin feels like it's on fire and nothing seems to really help, I encourage you to give this a try. Somehow my hands absorb this greasy lotion. I can see and feel the inflammation go down and healthy skin start to appear. I now don't know what I would do without this indispensable lotion. For what it does, it is an affordable lotion.

The effect of moisturizing dry skin is nice. But looking forward more lotion.

Nourishing for skin

Not greasy, absorbs quickly Really regenerates skin Not sticky like thier healing lotion

I like this lotion very much. It's becoming harder to find in stores. The only issue I have is with the shipping itself. The bottle was put into a box at least 3 times its size, with no wrapping inside at all. When I received it, there was lotion all over the inside of the box! This is an unacceptable way to ship a liquid product. Do better next time, Amazon.

The price is great snd it is the best lotion for dry skin or sensitive skin. A friend of mine recommended it after she used it on her dermatitis. I never heard of it before but I gave it a try. The original healing lotion is the best!

After using this lotion for a few weeks now I think I can make a educated review. I am someone who has had extremely dry skin my whole life. I've been to dermatologist and they prescribe expensive lotions that I cannot afford. My skin type is dry, and cracks but is also very oily in certain places. This lotion while when it's applied can be greasy does go away after about 15 minutes. I have a mild case of keratosis pilaris on my arms, in the few weeks I've used the lotion the bumps are gone. If you are looking for a lotion that will give you that silky smooth feeling this is not it. I also don't recommend this lotion if you have a strict skin care routine as it has made my skin on my face feel dull. I do currently have cracks on sensitive areas right now and while the lotion helps with it not getting worse or spreading further, it does not seem to make it heal so I am pairing it with aquaphor ointment and that seems to be helping. This is also not a lotion I use after washing my hands throughout the day just because of how it makes my hands feel after use, BUT that could just be a sensory trigger for me. Overall it's a great product for what it's intended for, which is extreme dry skin.

This lotion is just what my dry skin needed. Im 66, and my skin stays thirsty. After 4 applications, there's a marked improvement in moisture, softness and appearance. Recommended.
