Continental OE Technology Series 4080948 8-Rib, 94.8" Multi-V Belt

I have a 2010 Toyota Tundra 5.7 purchase several belts from a local auto parts store they were squealing but this one no problem thank you

After all those good reviews I install this belt on my 2007 toyota tundra 5.7 so far so good fits like a glove no noise I will update later how everything works

Eliminated the annoying belt squeal my factory Toyota belt picked up around 30,000 miles. Went on easy and looks like a high quality belt. Steps to replace belt on 2007-2013 5.7L Tundras:1. Remove skid plate from under engine/radiator area.2. Using a 14mm socket and a cheater bar, take the tension off the old belt using the tensioner pulley.3. Remove old belt with tension off.4. Following a belt routing diagram, feed the belt around all the many pulleys. I found it easier to push the belt up from the bottom and then pull the belt up and engage the upper pulleys from the top, then went down underneath a completed routing the belt to all the pulleys.5. Use the tensioner pulley as your last pulley compressing the spring loaded pulley to give you enough slack to slide it over the pulley.6. Remove the socket and cheater bar and visually inspect that the belt is squarely aligned and in the grooves for each pulley.7. Remove all tools and items you may have had in the engine area.8. Put the key in the ignition and just turn it over for a split second without starting it. Go inspect on more time to ensure the belt and pulleys are aligned correctly.9. If all looks good, go ahead and start your engine. With this belt, the squeak or squeal should be gone and it should be running just like you expect.Note: Be sure to wear safety glasses, use jack stands, and follow all normal safety procedures before attempting to do this. It's an easy job, but you just need a little patience while you work the belt around all those pulleys.

Update 2/14/19. Finally had to replace the belt that I purchased in 2015. Truck currently has around 254k miles on it. For the price, this is the best deal I've ever gotten for a replacement part for my 2007 Tundra 5.7L V8.Replacement belt for a 2007 Toyota Tundra 5.7L V8. Dealership wanted something close to $600 or $700 to replace it. Searched on youtube for "Toyota Tundra belt replacement". Found plenty of videos. Took me about 30 mins to do the job, and I put the belt on wrong the first time. It's super easy and only requires 1 socket and a cheater bar (could pick up all the tools for around $30 or so here on Amazon) I didn't have to remove anything to gain access to the belt system. I've been driving it for a week and it seems to be working just fine. No noise at idle or any speed. I'm about to go on a 3000 mile round trip and I will keep a close eye on it to make sure all is good. So far so good though.Just got back from driving to Virginia from Texas and back. Everything running great.

Although the Amazon 'Application' engine says this belt is the one for the Toyota 5.7L V-8 in the Sequoia, I used a different one.I've reviewed the '945 on the associated page. I picked it firstly because of a review there, and then when I checked the Goodyear site, this belt ('948) is not listed.

I installed a Dayco kit on my 08 Tundra which included tensioner, idler pulley, and new belt. As soon as temps dropped the belt began to chirp and eventually squeal. After removing the belt and cleaning the pulleys I noticed that a few of the pulleys were wobbly. Because of this, I couldn’t blame Dayco for the noisy belt. However, I installed this belt and surprisingly it did not make a single noise. It’s only been a few days but temps have continued to fall and still no noise. Will update if anything changes.

I purchased it in Sept and finally got around to replacing this belt while doing some other maintenance, including new spark plugs, and found out this one doesn’t fit my Tundra. I have a 4x4 Off-Road with the 5.7L, and it requires a 95-3/8" belt. This one is the wrong size. Buyers beware, double-check the exact belt length for your engine and configuration before ordering, because not all 5.7L Tundras use the same belt. This review is for the belt size only, not the belt itself. It appears to be good quality, but I was never able to try it due to the incorrect fit. Even though Amazon said it would fit after entering all the extra vehicle information.

So here is what happened. I've had my 2008 Toyota Sequoia (Limited edition 5.7 engine) since it was new and it now is approaching 150,000 miles so we did some major work on it. Part of the work included changing the serpentine belt and when I got the car back I was told by my mechanic that the belt just needs to adjust and that there is a slight squeal when starting it up. That squeal started out minor enough but within the next week it grew louder and longer to the point that when we would start it up cold, it would squeal (at an embarrassingly loud pitch) for almost half a minute. We took it back to our mechanic and he admitted that it should have worked itself out now (assured us it was still safe to drive) and he ordered a Toyota belt for it thinking that would do the trick (he had originally used an aftermarket one).Well he changes the belt with the one from Toyota and it continued to squeal just as badly (possibly worse) when starting it (after the initial squealing it goes away while driving). He calls his contact from Toyota and is told that's a common thing they've heard when changing the serpentine belt and that he basically was at loss of what to try. A google search leads me to the reviewer who had pretty much the same problem as I and claimed that the Gatorback (since bought by Continental Elite) did the trick. So i bought the one that the reviewer bought (the 4080945 model) and brought it to my mechanic and try as he did, he absolutely could not get it on. I read of a few people who bought this one for their 2008 Sequoia and they mentioned it was tight but they got it on. Not sure if they had the Limited (larger engine) or if that even makes a difference but the 4080945 didn't work for my car and I went with the 4080948.We brought the car back with this belt and skeptical as my mechanic was, he gladly gave it a try and low and behold...IT WORKED. No more squealing when starting it up. We've had it now a few days and so far so good. Hopefully there are no issues and if so, I'll update. But for we are very glad to not have to cringe whenever we start up the car.

I was really impressed with this item after seeing it, but the sqeaking noise is back and was recommended to replace the belt again by a mechanic. What a waste of money! Very disappointed
