I have used this Demi permanent hair dye for years. My hair is medium brown but it now is turning wind is turning white. I used the light gold Brown First, but it seemed too dark. So I tried lightest golden brown, and it was just right. It is two shades lighter than my natural hair color and makes the areas that are white look like lowlights.The dye is easy to apply, does not smell of ammonia, and is easy on your hair. My hair has always stayed healthy and shiny over the years of using this dye. Gloves are provided to protect your hands.The mixing is easy and quick. The applicator is easy to use. It takes 20 minutes for they dye to take affect and then you rinse it out and apply conditioner provided. Natural instincts makes your hair very shiny and many people have commented on my hair. The conditioner provided is one of the best, according to my Hairstylist who said many women prefer this hair conditioner over any others. Enough conditioner is provided to use from enough shampoos until your hair needs to be dyed again. My favorite thing about this is there is no abrupt line when your hair grows out. It starts to fade gradually and even if you decide to go grey or white all over, the growing out process isn’t that my obvious, as the color fades rather quickly. I would highly recommend this semi permanent hair dye to everyone!

Good coverage and shiny hair.

This is the only brand of hair color that I’ve used for over 20 years. Highly recommended to me by my hairdresser as it covers the gray and fades gradually, blending without leaving noticeable roots as my hair grows out. This color with the golden highlights is my favorite summer shade, but no longer available in my local stores.

This color is the best of the Natural Instincts line for me. It produces a reddish brown shade that is very attractive...for about four weeks and then it begins to go orange. Of course, by then I've got quite the "skunk stripe" going on so it's time to reapply anyway. Doesn't quite cover the gray with the first application, but the second one does. This latest formula (Oct. 2021) is a bit thinner than before which I find is easier to spread evenly.

In the sun light it looks light burgandy .Out the light it looks burgandy If ur looking for a lighter burgandy go 5r medium auburn .i gonna try it . I’ll keep u posted.

Nice coverage for greys! Great colour, easy to use & worth the price!

I use this brand of semi permanent hair color all the time. It washes out slowly so I don't have that bright line of demarcation between color and gray. I ordered this because it was the lightest golden I could find. I'm too old for a dark brown. For me, it washes out just right.

This hair dye made my hair frizzy and very dry. Experienced broken hair strands in the sink every time I combed. I don't think this is the same Clairol Natural Instincts from years ago that I used regularly. My hair never seemed to recover-it's been growing in frizzy ever since, which makes me wonder if the dye is so harsh that it penetrates the hair follicle.

I have used this product for years and I find it really smoothing for my fine, dry hair. I think because it is depositing and adds to the hair without stripping, it feels healthier using this dye 3 to 4 times a year. I stick mostly with colours close to my natural shade. Once, I tried to go brunette and it ended up nearly black until after it washed out halfway. I used the shade 6.5G in the photo, Lightest Warm Brown. My hair is naturally brassy/reddish, but also kind of mousey coloured. I think the dye adds depth and sheen I don't naturally have. Err on the side of a lighter shade than you want, if it doesnt look coloured the worst case is that you get a gloss treatment. Better than too dark hair, is what I have learned from using this product for two decades.

Doesn't smell harsh. colors came natural looking a show up lovely. just found it didn't last as long as some brands but I'd use again
