Based on the mixed bag of reviews regarding the sizing of this item, I placed my order thinking that there would be a 50/50 chance I might have to alter the size of my ironing board along the lines of the fix described in one of the other reviews (in the event the cover was not long enough, the fix requires shortening the nose of the ironing board using a jigsaw). I ordered the product in willow. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to fit the cover on my ironing board with a reasonable amount of effort. Our ironing board is at the outer limits of the dimensions described in the product literature. Unlike some of the other reviewers, the cover fit nicely on a 42 1/4 ironing board. Perhaps the issue was addressed at some point? Regardless, my experience with the pad and cover is great. Both appear to be high-quality and should do the job for several years to come. I do not know the brand of our in wall ironing board. My best guess is that it is a Home Essentials product, purchased approximately 17 years ago at a big box lumberyard retailer.

SURPRISE! It fits on my 12 x 42 board! I bought this cover (in beige) because my back was against the wall--no other choices for my NuTone AVC-40 stow-away ironing board. My board size is 12 x 42 in. with a square end. The specs are given as 11.5-12 x 40-41, so I was not expecting the cover to fit, But it extended (snugly) end-to-end with just a minimum of tugging. Hooray! Surprise! However, the width was barely adequate. The elastic barely covered the sides and was in constant danger of popping off. So I sewed twill tape ties in two places along the length, and tied them securely under the board. An easy small fix. My board is bare metal, so the padding of the cover is a bit thin for comfortable ironing. I added the felt underpad from my previous cover and then the cushioning was perfect.(Note: with the addition of this thin 1/4 in pad, I had several moments of panic, because putting the cover on became difficult. But it's on, it fits, I've ironed on it--it stays put.)

Needed this small ironing cover pad for my antique step stool/ironing board. Absolutely love it!!!! Highly recommend. Padding is not thick at all but the size was perfect fit.super thin no padding but may purchase a heat resistant pad to put under cover.

Good material and fits rather well I like the rope pull design. Would have liked to have instructions though to know I was putting on right. One downer is that I must have an different model board because the Velcro strap interferes with my latch. Regardless, I got it to work and it's better than my old one.

I had an ironing board on my wall for years and finally replaced it with this. I originally had the old kind that you had to put the pad down and place the cover on top, while struggling to keep the pad in place. I was ready to tackle the whole thing but this one has the pad already attached. Win Win!!! Lays great on the board and doesn't bunch up or move. Not a fan of ironing clothes but gotta do it. I recommend it!

Cover fit perfectly.

It works well. I found it a bit too loose so I needed to reinforce it on the bottom of my ironing board. I used bungee cords. It would have been better had the fabric been smoother, so as to allow my garments to be repositioned easier.

Advertised as "Replacement Pad AND Cover" but trust me, there ain't no pad! It's a thin cover only. Basically, you have to use a towel to avoid permanently impriting your ironing board's metal shape into the fabric. Disappointing.
