A marvel of cost-effective engineering! The light weight, super aero hard shell allows tons of airflow. Really, this is one of the coolest helmets you can wear. The thing weighs barely anything. The straps and backrest of the helmet are super adjustable, and will fit tweens to grown men to Andre the Giant. There is a velcro lining with some fabric attached to it. You can use that velcro to attach helmet adjustment pads from other helmet kits, though you probably won't need to. It is certified by the "Consumer Product Safety Commission" which is a legit US Federal agency. I recommend this over any more expensive helmets unless you intend to be crashing a lot!

The clever fitting system with adjustable straps and the telescoping headband with the click-turn dial on the back mean you get an ideal fit, no settling. The venting keeps you cool and the removable visor effectively protects your face from excessive sun exposure. Great product, excellent safety rating and probably the best value in the class. The styling's just a bonus, I wanted features and safety.

Comfortable and looks good. I had to remove extra padding from inside, to make it fit. Great helmet.

I had this helmet for over 2 months and I think that its a great basic/starter helmet for the price. Its easy to set up and fits comfortably on the head. The visor helps somewhat a bit in the sunny weather, but the lack of eye shield [for wind, rain or sun protection] mount of any kind made me give it a 4 stars. If you are looking for a basic adult helmet that sits on comfortable without breaking a bank then this Schwinn helmet will do it.

I bought this in 2015 and leaving this review in 2019: Saved my life. The last mile of a 20 mile ride, 1 mile from home, I crashed on the last turn on a bike path when my front tire got stuck in some soft sand and the rear flew around and threw me off. The rest of my body was really messed up and I was bedridden for weeks but my head was perfectly fine… not even a concussion and I was thrown head first! I was told by the paramedics that if I survived without my helmet, I surely would’ve had a traumatic brain injury. I feel like this helmet saved my life. I have to say that I am upgrading and buying a much more expensive helmet for my new one. An extra few bucks is well worth the safety. Thank you Schwinn for producing an affordable, comfortable helmet that protects the noggin! So grateful and thankful to be alive. By the way, I always found the helmet very comfortable and my head never got too hot. Great all-around basic helmet.

I shopped for a while and bought this nice looking basic helmet. Value is very good. My only comment, and that is shared by my fellow reviewers is that if you have a huge head it will not fit. Other than that I would rate it as a best buy.

Love the easy adjustment wheel in the back. Was able to make helmet fit over my windbreaker hood with just a twist of the wheel, and got a ride in on a crisp autumn morning. Very sturdy helmet for such a light weight.

I like the fit, it is lightweight for riding in sun at 115 degree F. HOWEVER, THREE STARS because of the chin strap, which seems to me to be a very important element for safety in a fall or crash. I am new to riding and with an e-bike on city streets, it is dangerous where there are no bike paths. I see pretty much every day some pedestrian or cyclist is hit by a car - few survive. So I want to make sure the helmet will stay on my head, and so rely on the chin strap in addition to the handy dial for tightening around the skull. I tried leaving chin strap loose but the helmet will fall off no matter how (uncomfortably) tight I adjust the dial. I have to have the chin strap tight and that is my problem with this helmet. The strap is tough and the buckle in the center is very uncomfortable tight against my soft throat. I cannot see how people think that is wearable, maybe I am weird. I will look for a pad to put over that buckle or return the helmet.

This adult bike helmet checked off all the boxes. Fits an average adult and has multiple adjustable straps to customize. Comfortable to wear and well designed throughout. Materials seem fine too, hopefully won't have to put them to any major tests.😉 Definitely recommended.😁
