10 out of 10
I purchased a canvas suit when I first got into bee keeping. Well long behold I found out that I'm severly allergic to bees. The way I found out was the suit I was wearing before was cheap, tight and hot and I got stung 3 times through it and ended up in the ER. Well I still bee keep and having the Ultra Breeze is a game changer. The suit is semi baggy, which is what you want. Its thick but is completely cool when you are working around bees, and I work around my bees when temps are in the high 90s. Best part is not one sting at this time. I would Highly recommend to anyone. Pay once and cry once because any other suit might be deadly.

A real confidence booster for this new beekeeper!
I am a female, new beekeeper, and I live alone on my farm. Face stings send me to the hospital with an eye swollen shut, so I needed a suit that would totally protect me. This suit is great. I orderd it after seeign a fellow beekeeper wearing it at a workshop and he raved about it. Wanted to wait to review it until I had used it all season, and washed it, etc. I have used it all summer, and never got stung once even with an aggressive hive that would come clear into my yard to sting me or the dog. I am 5' 8" tall, 135 lbs. I ordered the SMALL size. It fits weird. It is way too big in the waist area, and the crotch hangs WAY down. It doesn't effect the use of it at all but I feel funny when wearing it to bee workshops!! But, the legs are WAY too short, so I need to wear tall rubber boots and pull the suit legs down over the top of the boot. It fits like it was designed for a very well-endowed dwarf! But, the arms and hood fit great. I like how the hood netting stays rigid and the netting can't fold up and trap a bee next to your skin. The zippers are a little hard to work but a swipe with beeswax would probably make it zip fine; mine has gotten easier to zip on its own just through use. I have also washed it (remove the hood) and it washed up just fine. It is very cool to wear in very hot weather with just shorts, a tank top and tall rubber boots on. I wish the legs were long enough to just wear with hiking shoes, but I do have long legs...a 33" inseam is what I need for pants. Anyway, a very comfortable suit in hot weather, that gives me total protection and lets me concentrate on the task at hand. It really helped me boost my confidence, working alone on my farm with my new hive and major fears of getting stung. And that's worth the price of this suit!

invest in your safety and comfort, it's worth it
i couldn't wait for this to arrive in the mail. the suit i had before was a disposable tyvek suit that was like walking around in an oven. i am very happy with the performance of the ultra breeze. from the pictures, i was afraid it would be too flimsy, but it's much more substantial than it appears in the pictures. three layers of different meshy materials are thick enough to keep even determined bees at bay. and the air the mesh lets through is fantastic. it lets you focus on the bees, not how hot you are. the zippers are heavy duty, though they stick a bit sometimes. i think with use, they will get better in that regard. the elastic at the wrist and ankles are nice and strong, with velcro straps for extra protection. the veil piece detaches easily if you have your own or if you prefer not to use one, but i really like the design of the veil. the two zippers meet snugly at the neck and have velcro immediately behind. it seems almost impossible for a bee to get through that. velcro also protects the front zipper at the neck, so no fears there either. the side zippers are great for letting even big boots through the pant legs, though if they are too big around the ankle, you are not going to get the zippers all the way down. i ended up just putting my rubber boots over the pant legs instead, no big deal. i'm 5'10" and fit into the large pretty well, but if you are taller, you might want to get an XL size. i'm fairly skinny, but i think even if i had an extra fifty pounds, i'd still be fine, girth wise.all in all, this is a fantastic suit and it was obviously designed with great care and attention to detail. if you plan on keeping bees for the long term, do yourself a favor and invest in something like this that will both protect you and leave you comfortable enough to focus on the job at hand. the bees deserve it, and you will never regret the extra money spent.
