I bought three paint-by-numbers from this manufacturer. The description says it is for "adults and kids, boys and girls." Then elsewhere in the description, it claims that this one is appropriate for age 5 and up. This is ludicrous. I bought this one for an eight-year-old, based on the misleading description. I also bought a different design for myself by the same manufacturer. It is frustrating as all get out. It is so detailed, and the details and numbers so tiny and hard to read that I think you would need to be an adult to have the patience to do it. Also, most of the colors take 2-3 coats, because with one coat the numbers bleed through. Depending on how prominent a color is in the design, they do NOT always give you enough paint for that many coats. On one color that had to be used a lot, I didn't even have enough for ONE coat, much less three! I had to go to Michael's and buy a color that was as close as possible and redo all of the parts that were in that color. Very frustrating.Also, they make the bizarre claim that it comes in "gift wrap packaging." It does not. It comes in the manufacturer's box, which is flimsy and just barely big enough to hold its contents, so it looks like the box is about to burst.The designs themselves are beautiful, and I don't mind it being so detailed, but they should DEFINITELY not state that these are for children. The problem isn't the designs per se, it's the fact that (1) the recommended age is ridiculous, (2) there isn't enough of some of the paint colors to finish it (HUGE FLAW), and (3) the numbers bleed through unless you do multiple coats, which takes quite a bit of the fun out of it. And ignore the claim about "gift wrap packaging," because it's just not true. I wish I could recommend this brand, but I just can't.

This was a nice paint by number set. I was able to use my dog as a model to add effects like whiskers, and her name on the bandana, and changed the dog colors to better match our girl's colors. Finished painting this the morning of the day that we put our old labrador down, so it will forever be a reminder of our sweetheart (this is not a lab but she was a mix). Not super thrilled with the leaves patterns in a couple spots, but like the rest of the picture, esp. the apples. Not enough paint on some basic colors like black. We framed the painting with acrylic as this is a forever remembrance of her.

This is not for a 7 year old, it says it’s a easy diy but it’s not at all easy not even for adults, I think it’s adorable but not for beginners

This is not a one day job. I didn’t realize how huge it was and the numbers are really small. You do get a lot for your money.

It takes time but a lot of fun
