Ideal first aid supply
Bought this as my Great Dane split a nail and I couldn't stop it bleeeding, and every time it healed he knocked it and started over again..... I put half a teaspoon on some cotton wool and bandaged his nail and toe and when I checked 24 hours later it had completely dried and was able to seal the broken nail wil super glue

Useful powder to use
I used this as part of a flower pounding project. It is a white powder that you mix with water and soak material in. Once dried this acts as a mordant on the material for the flower dyes and preserves the colours. Easy to use and I didnโt find it affected my skin at all though I was more careful to keep away from my eyes.

Nothing can stop the snails
The fish tank starts off well, you quarantine the plants, you use this to kill any residual snails and eggs on them... then after a month or two you see a cool plant at your local fish shop. You plant it that day without using a spoonful or two of your aluminium sulphate to soak it overnight. A couple weeks later you see a snail in the tank, hmmm, that's weird, probably just the one though so you let it be. Then you go on holiday for a week and when you're back the snail uprising is a footnote in the history of your tank. They're here. They won. And they're not going away without a fight. Use the damn aluminium sulphate. The plants can wait.

It could be me!
I bought this to turn my potted pink Hydrangea blue, despite adding vinegar to help break down the product, the hydrangea is still pink. So a waste of money for me but maybe i did something wrong?

Brilliant product!!!!
Purchased this product to remove a broken steel screw in a brass pocket watch movement top plate.Once the movement plate has been stripped of all STEEL PARTS and only the broken screw remains in the movement plate the whole plate is immersed in enough hot water to cover the plate with 3 teaspoons of Alum added and dissolved. This should be in a stainless steel bowl (I use a dog's bowl) and kept just warm on a hob. The broken screw will gently bubble and fizz as the Alum Solution dissolves it when it stops fizzing the screw should have disappeared for good with no damage to the brass movement plate as I have used this method on watches.PLEASE NOTE that this solution will dissolve ALL STEEL PARTS so all unnecessary parts should be removed leaving only the piece to be removed.
