Very nice, highly recommended.
I really enjoy this product. The bow doesn't shoot too hot as to warrant the authorities being called (I asked ahead of time before buying this product, as I live in a crowded city) and it is all around fun to shoot. I will be the first to admit, I bought this because I am a rebellious adult who was sheltered from this sort of thing by an over protective father. But as an adult I can say that I don't think I could have gotten a better product for my price range. The price was perfect and with all of the bolts, I won't need to buy more anytime soon. I have only lost 3 of the PVC bolts this crossbow is sold with, only because of a mishap with my target. They had a weird flight and lodged into my target in a weird angle, making them break when I tried to pull them out. As for other people enjoying it, my ten year old sister could not pull the lever to cock the bow (thankfully, as a child should leave that part of the firing process to an adult anyway) and she finds really hard to move the safety. My stepfather and aunt really enjoy shooting this as well, and have even taken it out while I was at work and fired it anyway. The safety is of very good quality and does its job very well. I love the fact that the safety automatically engages when the string is pulled back. The sights aren't really that effective, at least in my opinion, for target acquisition and accuracy. I found that my hand-eye coordination was good enough to get my bolts on target in a very good grouping. I did have a problem the day I post this review with my rear sight. I was adjusting the elevation when I noticed the whole assembly start to come apart. All that needed was tightening, but what concerned me was that the screw to hold the elevation dial is the same screw that holds the bolt rest, meaning that is one is loose, so is the other. I was however, able to very easily take this apart and put it back together with little to no difficulty. The cocking lever is very solidly built but does wobble a tad. I'm not sure why, and this slightly concerns me. Constructing this crossbow took some time, but the help of two chairs and my stepdad we finally got it strung. Final conclusion: this is a damn good crossbow for your money. With the 80 lb draw, it's easy to cock and fun to shoot. The bolts were made very well and I am very impressed with them. If you are looking for something that is both fun to shoot and accurate, this is the way to go.

Not a bad pistol crossbow
New to any aspect of archery, just wanted to get something to use on a target. Although this is not a high-end hand-held crossbow (although it appears there is no such thing as a high-end version), it does what I expected it to do. Easy to setup and did not need to use a friend to put the string onto the bow (although this may make it easier to do). Pretty accurate at shorter distances, but more than 20ish feet or so, the crossbow does not have enough power to maintain bolt height and accuracy. Still, it's fun to use, but remember that it is not a toy. The bolts go into a standard archery target pretty easily.

I like it more than i expected BUT read for how to put together etc.
On arrival the box looked more like a cheap toy but thankfully the contents were much better than the box led me to believe. Inside is everything you need except line wax, youโll need that if you donโt already have any. As to how to put it together use this along with the information that comes with. First take one of the rubber pads and a couple drops of superglue and place it center of the rear side of the bow facing you. Next do the same on the other side with the other pad. Next if you do not have anyone to help bend the bow you can do it yourself. First unscrew the nut in front at least half way so there is plenty of room to push the bow through the hole. Next push the bow, without string, through that hole. Do not tighten the screw down or put the metal plate in yet. Next once the metal bow is in remember to put the two plastic tip caps on at each end tip. Then put on loop of the line on one end. Next put the end of the bow on the ground/floor. Then use both hands and all your weight to push, bend, compress the bow so you can get the other end of the line loop onto the top of the bow. It took me about three tries to get it but it wasnโt too hard. Just takes a bit of patience. Once done then put the metal plate inside against the rubber pad. there is a small divot on one side of the plate. that faces out so the screw pushes into that. line it up best you can then start to tighten the screw down using the included tool. once the bow is flat against the plates and fully tightened your work is done. Having gotten past that part what is not shown is how to use it? I know how a crossbow works but this one is a little different. First above the handle or above this round 'snake emblem' is a small black plastic piece. You need to press down on it to pull the string back and cock it. I have to push the bottom tip into the floor and then push that tab and pull the handle back to pull the string tight. Once youโve done that it is ready to use. Above the grip, below the sight is the scored copper color โsafety bar.โ Once cocked you need to push the right side forward with your thumb to release it and fire. i included a short video to show that part out. The three arrows that come with are nice little metal arrows. The extra couple dozen that are included too are a little different. those are all plastic in construction and about an inch longer. Regardless just put the arrows in the groove, slide/push them back until they click under and behind the metal clip that's directly above the trigger. Just slide into place, click in place and ready to use. Overall when compared to others sold here I think this is a good choice. It is reasonably priced for what it is. The materials are very good for the most part. Being able to put it together by yourself without needing someone else like most others is great. The inclusion of the extra mini arrows is nice. It is light and well balanced in the hand. That makes it not only easy to hold but easy to aim as well. The biggest negative is the absolutely terrible instructions to get started. It is as if they didnโt even try? that's the reason for four not five stars, it all comes down to those horrible instructions. All said I would purchase this again and would recommend this to anyone looking for a small handheld crossbow.

Great product for the price point!! Don't overlook this!!
First off, I must admit I work in an archery pro shop. We had someone order one of these through our shop and I was impressed with it BUT .. it wasn't this particular one. I bought one of these based solely on price point to see what it was like. This is a true 80lb crossbow pistol. This is NOT a toy. I would say this is perfect for the youngster in the family that wants to get a crossbow pistol like this as long as parental/adult supervision is supplied. This King's Archery pistol crossbow is very fast, very powerful and WILL require a good block target. (usually targets in the $50 range will stop the bolt) Upon setting up the product I noticed the instructions were clear enough for someone to assemble it. It's really more common sense than anything so yes .. it means it's simple to assemble. With that said, you may need a second person to help you get the string on since this is an 80lb limb. I see someone wrote a review and because they couldn't get the string on, they gave this item a one star rating. I'll tell you right now, if you're NOT familiar with archery and draw weights, 80lbs is ALOT so be prepared. Once the string is on and the front end has been assembled, you're pretty much ready to have some fun. As a tech at a pro shop I must express the importance of getting some string wax and rail lube. This is to be treated just like any other crossbow. The rail lube is applied to cut down on friction and prolong the life of the string as is the string wax. The string that comes with this is NOT waxed so make sure you get a decent string wax and apply it before use. With that said, if you can't find rail lube, buy some real good string wax like Limbsaver brand as it can be used as rail lube as well because it's a synthetic wax. The rail only needs to have a light coating on it. Not much at all. If you take care of the string and maintain this like all crossbows, I see no reason this won't last for years. ;) It does come with a replacement string which the other more expensive one we had ordered for a customer did not. There's also did not come with bolts. The bolts ..... well the aluminum bolts are just awesome!! The plastic ones work OK BUT shooting into a block target you will likely pull out the bolt and the tip will still be lodged in the target. This is exactly what I experienced which lead me to order more aluminum bolts. (60 for $18 and change on Amazon) I'll be leaving a review of those bolts as well in a few days of testing and such. All in all, I have to give this product a 5 star rating based on price point, accuracy and the fact that it's straight forward and easy to use. Another reason for this rating is the safety of the King's Archery crossbow pistol. When this is cocked, the safety is automatically turned on which I really approve of as safety is a MAJOR factor in items I use as well as sell. If I could find a supplier for these crossbows, I'd be interested in carrying them in the shop. That's how impressed I truly am with this.

Fun crossbow, but bolts are terrible, and string frays very easily.
To sum it up, the instructions were a little less clear than they should have been with regard to putting it together. The pad between the actual bow and the screw holding it in place had fallen apart so it was in three pieces and I really did not know what to do with it. Shooting is a lot of fun, but cocking it is a little hard. My girlfriend has difficulty with it. Still a lot of fun to shoot. it came really skewed with regard to the sighting in, but sighting it in is kind of fun anyway. My only real complaint though is that the bolts that come with it are plastic and garbage. They shoot fine at Short distances. However, 3 out of 8 of them had the heads falling off. This sucks because now I have to bolt heads stuck in my brand new Target. This could have probably been avoided with better glue if glue is used at all. Now I have several bolt heads in my two expensive brand new crossbow targets just waiting to ruin my real arrows. Within a week's time of intermittent use, the middle of the string was fraying. It was the wrapping string that goes around the primary string to protect it, but even the main string seemed to fray a bit. In a very short time, this string became dangerous to use. You should know that no care instructions come with this item to tell you how to prevent this sort of thing. I do have wax, but I barely used this thing and there's no way it should have started fraying by now. It's a shame because it is a lot of fun to shoot.

Quality of product
The product preformed ok for a short time and then had ordered a better brand and no problem with upgrade but a little hassle of research

Amazed
I had been wanting to get a crossbow for a while, but had no idea what I should get. Even after researching and reading countless reviews, I just couldn't pull the trigger on spending hundreds, if not thousands, on a full sized one; not being sure if I'd like it or not. When I came across this one, I truly wasn't expecting much, but knew I wasn't paying much either. So I bought one for me and a friend, that was in the same predicament, for Christmas. Not going to lie, hands down the best money I have spent! When they arrived, my buddy came over and we decided to take them for a spin. The minimal amount of assembly required was quick and generally easy. Stringing the bow can be somewhat of a challenge, but only because of the sturdy build (a positive). The self-cocking mechanism is simple and fluid to use, which was a pleasant surprise. The real astonishment came with our first shots. We were amazed at the speed of the bolt and accuracy of the sight. It was the middle of winter in Cleveland, so we stayed in the garage, but were nailing our targets (scrap wood) consistently from a good 30 feet; not bad for a couple of rookies. Since then, we have both been practicing (it's fun to shoot), and have been able to hit targets from much further out (approximately 90-100 feet) with extreme regularity. Other friends and family have also been impressed with the solid, yet light-weight design, ease of use, and high accuracy. The PVC bolts that come with it are a one-time use, as the tips tend to lodge in the wooden targets and the shafts snap off. We've been able to "fix" some used ones and get a few more shots from them, but that's about it. I've only used it on stationary targets and have no intentions of firing at any living creature, but this will kill small animals and can cause serious injury to people. It's fun, but not a toy and should be handled responsibly. That said, buy it! You definitely will not regret it!

Impressed
Wow! I'm impressed. I thought this thing would be a toy. I was way wrong! I can shoot it open sighted at 30 yards and hit 4" in any direction of the bullseye. The penetration is phenomenal. If shot accurately, this thing is lethal to just about anything that gets in its way so be extremely cautious. This is not a toy. Although, it is extremely fun to shoot and hard to stop shooting. I don't want to put it down. The sights are cheap. Once you get it sighted in don't touch, bump, or breathe on it because you will knock it out of alignment. Eventually, I want to get a laser sight for it. I just bought a .22 air rifle that shoots 1,200 fps. I have barely shot it. I have been too busy shooting the mini crossbow, which I actually bought for my brother for a Christmas present. You know, I had to sight it in for him. It's the decent thing to do :-) I have read that there are cheap knock offs out there. Mine says it is from KingsArchery and is labeled a self-cocking Cobra Pistol Crossbow. It seems pretty sound except for the sights. For the price, I would buy it again. I've read that the metal arrows that come with the bow break after a few shots. They are comprised of three pieces. Tip, shaft, and veins. The vein to the shaft connection seems a little weak but I lost the first arrow and have only shot the plastic ones since. So I never broke one. I lost one plastic arrow while sighting the bow in. Broke one by hitting the plywood backstop while sighting in, and have shot the 3rd plastic arrow about 20 times at a cardboard box filled with flattened card board boxes with a pretty consistent grouping and that one plastic arrow has held up fine. It goes through 8 layers of cardboard very easily. Yet not enough to to lose the arrow. It's kind of hard to see in the photo but at 30 yards I hit 1" away from the bullseye.
