I setup a DIY engraving rig and looked everywhere for a pedal to control the airflow when I stumbled upon this little gem. I couldn't be happier with how easy it was to connect and with its performance. It was exactly what I needed. I thought it might need some modification to fit my setup but all I had to do was plug the hose into the fittings it came with and I was off to the races. It's been a game changer for me. It's well made and sturdy enough to handle the workload I throw at it. I can see this lasting me for years.

The included 1/4" IPS X 1/4" tube fittings were not tapered pipe threads. How do I know? Because they could be tightened until the treads bottomed out. After removing the phony preinstalled sealant on the threads , I reinstalled using Monster dope, buried the fitting into the threads and it holds air without leaking. I had my tapered pipe thread lesson back in 1970. Soon the chinese will figure it out. The port arrangement can be used in a few ways. Best to connect inlet air and experiment by actuating the foot valve. Very simple but difficult to explain in this review. At least for me. I used it on a single acting air actuated diaphragm valve used on a sand blaster . The foot valve works great. I am very pleased. I have built three pressure blasting systems on sandblasters for myself and buddies. All three use this foot valve. Mine has been in use for over two years. Siphon systems suck! Get it? Lol.
