I opened the book to sample a few photographs but made the mistake of reading Randee St. Nicholas' words accompanying the photos. I put the rest of my evening on hold and devoured the poignant stories and anecdotes Randee shared of a twenty-five year collaboration. I learned to appreciate Prince and Randee far beyond the surface images of a photogenic icon and a talented photographer. This book is a journey and revelation. If you admire or even love Prince the artist, get this book and discover Prince the human being. I admired him immensely as a consummate maker of music. Many you will recognize as the legendary photos they are, having appeared in print, on film and etched into our memories. There are many intimate photos never seen before that make this collection a must have for any true Prince fan. Ms. St. Nicholas enjoyed a close relationship with Prince and her anecdotes are delightful and bring him back to life. She managed to capture his essence in the photos and this collection is a beautiful tribute to Prince.
