Good one -but
After much thought ordered this one. Itโs of perfect size for family of 3-4. Round bottom with nice depth. Good thickness. And arrived perfectly. Looks like already seasoned well. But what nobody tells u is tat itโs damn heavy!around 3 kgs. As a cast iron pan should be! If ur used to cooking in regular nonstick cookware.. this heavy vessel is going to scare you. U cannot lift it in one hand. Have to handle it carefully. Even while washing. Not easy to maintain either. If all of the above is not a problem for u. Go for it! Itโs perfect! Update: after using for two months: works jus like ur non stick pan.. great for ur stir fryโs as well as deep fryโs. after daily usage care like reheating and rubbing with oil. But,,,, consumes LPG gas like anything.. (wonder if anybody told this) as itโs too thick takes times to heat up (and the additional reheating after washing)as Iโve been using it up on a daily basis finished my gas cylinder by a month earlier..! So if all of this is doesnโt bother you go for it! My suggestion would be to go for a lil thinner one as in other Brandโs..

Good product
I have bought both indus valley and rock tawa. According to me both are equally same. But in indus valley they charging too much in the sake of brand name.

Heavy but worth it
Wow, its heavy, but totally worth and good to have it as part of our kitchen utensils. Good for 2-3 people Vegetables or dal. Before using, please do seasoning well and remove rust. I have saw Skinny recipes channel in youtube for understanding how to clean the cast iron before every use. For first time clean, i used salt added in hot water and then cleaned with dish washer, rinsed properly then again kept in stove to remove water immediately. Then i applied one thin layer of oil quote when the utensils was totally dry. The first item we made was Dal tadka restaurant style and it was awesome. One advice, while lifting the utensil specially when filled with gravy or dal or even sabzi use both hands and a long cloth to remove it from stove and keep it at fixed location where you guys eat. It stays hot for a while so better be careful and try to keep out of children's reach.

Not as good quality as the skillet pan
2nd purchase from Rock considering the first skillet pan, which was excellent. The material on this one seems different and it has a tendency to rust fast. Not very satisfied. The skillet pan performing well though.

It's a great cast-iron kadai.
A very good cast-iron kadai. It has found its place in the kitchen instead of getting lost in some shelf. And that's all I can say. Its become a regular in the kitchen for cooking a lot of things in a family of 5. To all who think it is heavy to clean, that it rusts when left undried after a wash, or that food sticks when the seasoning wears off etc., I would like to say these are common issues with all cast-iron cook ware and most common to first time users. So a little patience is definitely called for before we turn to appreciate cast-iron.

It gets damaged after long term use
It also becomes useless after using it for a long time

Food cooked in a cast iron kadhai tastes better and is healthier
I bought this kadhai, as I had bought the Rock skillet earlier and was happy with it. It is sturdy, easy to clean and the food cooked in it, somehow tastes better. The only drawback is that it narrows down at the bottom and hence does not sit steadily on a flat surface, like the kitchen platform. Otherwise it is good value for money and I love using it for cooking.
