hello can you hear me?
i know a lot of people say this toy volume is very low. and yes that is the case. my son is 7 months, so i'm trying to get him to put it to his ear. but he's at that stage where he'll stand in his bed and drop his toys over the side. well he did that with this toy about 4 times, and this last time, the volume went way up. so much so that I was looking around a like what is that? and I'm like there is no way it's his phone, and yep it was. I put it to my ear and it was definitely louder, not so much to do any damage but loud enough he doesn't have to put it to his ear to hear the songs. I'm not saying drop your childs toy if you want the volume to go up, i'm just saying the volume increased when my son dropped it LOL. but over all he loves the toy, he was so cute the first time he put it to his ear. it's easy to clean with a baby wipe. it's very durable. and the blinky lights, and sounds entertain him very well. the buttons are not hard to push at all. I read reviews that said they needed a lot of pressure, but that is not the case with the one i got. so maybe they were defective, or maybe they were older products that sat on a shelf for awhile until they were ordered. either way this is a great toy!!!!!

Keeps him away from my expensive Galaxy 3
My 16 month old son absolutely loves this phone. He carries it everywhere, and when I'm on the phone, he holds it up to his ear and speaks for a long time. The buttons play different sounds related to calls ("Hello, are you there?" "Thank you for calling!", etc), and rings and he squeals every time we play telephone. He also likes mimicking me when I'm checking email on my phone, and will press buttons on his and mouth words (as I do when I'm trying to remember how to spell words like "cartilage"). He loves it, I love playing with it with him, and we couldn't recommend it more. This is the third one I've purchased, the other two being for my older nephews, and it keeps them off my brother's phones as well. Excellent, very resilient to drops, throws, and multiple spills, as well as getting force-fed a peanut butter sandwich.

Smart Phone for Toddlers
My 18 month old nephews (twins) and their 3 year old brother love this phone. I wasn't sure it would be satisfactory for them because they only want the real phones, but it has been an acceptable substitute. It's true that the sound is not loud, but considering they are holding it in their hands, it's only important for them to hear it and it's loud enough for that, and not so loud that it is bothersome for others.

Good, but not exactly what I expected.
My son, like any toddler, loves my phone and was using a broken calculator as his "phone" for a couple months so I wanted to get him a toy one that looked like mine. This one does the trick, but it's a little bigger than what it seems like is in the picture. He still enjoys playing with it and pretending to talk on it like I do so it does serve it's purpose, I just thought it would be a little more the same size as a smart phone rather than the size of his head. Like I said though, he enjoys it either way... much less picky than me :) I also really like that there is a switch to turn the noise off. Very useful on air-planes and during little sister's nap-time!

How loud do you want it to be?!?!?
My little boy got this phone for Christmas from Santa. It is one of his favorite toys (which means he throws it around and bangs it off of stuff) and it seems to be very durable. It lights up and plays songs/make sounds when he presses the buttons, just like Daddy's phone. I have seen many reviews from people knocking this toy because the volume is too low. Well, IT'S A PHONE people! Even my one year old son knows it's a phone - which means he holds it up to his ear and talks on it like everyone else does when they use a phone. Do you really want your toddler holding something to his ear that has an extremely loud volume? I'm going to make an educated guess and say that Fisher-Price kept the volume setting very low for exactly that reason. When this phone is held up to your ear, the volume level is perfectly acceptable. I actually appreciate the fact that I can barely hear this toy when my little boy is playing with it!

Baby still wants mommy's phone
I bought this hoping my son would like having his own phone and leave mine alone, sadly he still wants my phone. I didn't realize before purchasing this phone that the buttons all have one large clear piece of plastic over it, they are not really separated from one another. Your child needs to have good strength in order to push the buttons as they all have to be pushed at once. At first I was disappointed that the phone was so soft, you can barely hear the sounds at all. I thought it was the batteries but after replacing them I realized the volume was made soft on purpose; as it is a phone the child will put it to their ear so if the volume was too loud it could damage their ear. So, good thinking on the company's part but even placed up to your ear your can barely hear the sounds at all. There is very little variety with the buttons and not much educational value can be placed on the toy unless the parent uses it in an effective learning activity. My child has played with occasionally but is not in love with it.

Perfect for a baby who always wants your phone
Just gave this to a friend's 10-month-old as an early Christmas gift. She loved the music and little messages the phone plays, as well as when they keys light up. She kept coming back to it (on and off) over three hours. The volume is set naturally lower, but I appreciated that, and it did not seem to bother the 10-month-old in the least. It is a bit bulky, but it is close to the size of an actual cell phone. It comes able to run (and equipped with an on/off switch.) Great, especially for a little one who always wants to get their hands on a grown-up's phone!

good toy
I bought this for my 6 month old she likes it when I hold it for her but Its a bit hard for her to hold and when she tries to take it from me it always falls out of her hands very easily ill probably put it up for a few months and try again when she has more hand strength and a little bit bigger hands I'm sure she will appreciate it more and get more use out of it she it now almost 8 months and plays with it a lot easier she still fumbles with it some but not so much it holds her attention for a few minutes no longer than any other toy so I'm very happy with it

Aceptable pero podría mejorar
El juguete es un poco grande y pesado para bebes. Se les dificulta tomarlo con las manitas porque está muy ancho. El sonido está muy bajo y no hay forma de nivelarlo. Fuera de eso, está bien.

Works great. I bought it for my nephew and he loves playing with it. A little quiet but otherwise no complaints.
