I found this book so empowering...the information in here makes one feel quite in control and makes the mystery of dating less confusing. I have since easily detected guys that were out to just have a good time and quickly took my business else where. I feel more confident. The book helps you clearly define what to look out for in a future mate and makes you more aware of male behaviour and what it means...kind of a cheat sheet. Its a great read too, I couldn't put it down. Like other reviewers, makes you feel like you'd have avoided some of the mistakes if I had read it earlier. So glad I came across it and would highly recommend

This book changed my entire relationship. Who knew men were such simple creatures! Using some of the tips in this book, different ways to speak to my S/O changed everything for the better. It really opens up your mind to the inside of a mans brain! It’s so simple yet I never had any idea. I’d recommend every woman buy this book, it’s just brilliant. Steve Harvey is spot on!

I got this book for myself, and it was an interesting read. It gives a lot of insights into relationships and understanding how men think. Some parts were really eye-opening, while others felt a bit repetitive. Overall, I’d say it’s worth reading if you want a different perspective on thinking and relationships.

Have the Kindle version but it's great to have the book to easily flip back to sections of interest!

This book is so empowering of ALL women no matter what you look like or what your circumstances are! Since reading it I now know that as women we have so much more control than we are led to believe, it's completely changed my outlook on dating! I would recommend every woman to read this and gain control of her love life once and for all!

Was intending to get this a while ago however it was out of stock.

Some good to it in that it sets out some truths about how men are wired. But, not science. All cultures vary in their approach to dating and marriage. That's not really covered here - this is in my opinion an African American written book as to culture and manner that is not what I find true in my own. But, there are some true GEMS in this book, and he defends women by stressing not settling for less, how to protect yourself from being used and not treated well. There is male insight here that I think that applies to a man's psyche regardless of culture. This is protective of women and a good read = take what you want and leave what you don't. I give it a 5 for candor, telling women how to avoid the lackluster non committed man, and knowing how men are wired as to seeking to create relationships and a family future. Learned a lot.
