Critter Ritter is a waste of money and would not recommend
Absolutely not worth it, followed instructions to the T and it was like I did nothing at all. Did not affect my dog or squirrels one bit. I would not recommend this product to my enemies.

Waste of money
Total waste of money and trust me I followed the directions on the container. I read them twice. The little critters loved the stuff. They came back for more and brought their friends and family.

Seems to work, but also seems a bit too expensive.
I love that I was asked to rate "flavor" on this- ha ha ha! I live near a park and people love to walk their dogs down my street on the way to said park. I sprinkle this on my lawn closest to the sidewalk. I don't see much "action" from dogs on my lawn, so I suppose it's working. The downside is that even when I only use a little, it seems to go pretty quickly (and it's pricey, IMHO). Plus, I have to reapply after a couple of waterings. NOTE: This product is no joke! This stuff is spicy hot, so do NOT let the wind kick it back on you when you're sprinkling it. Keep it off your hands and wash up if you get it on you.

Seems to work!
I have been battling with whatever these things were that were digging under my porch. I cemented in areas and added rocks. This Critter Ridder had them crying to get away. I’m not a killer, but I don’t want varmits living with me. They’re gone!

Not too effective
I bought 3 of these canisters to help keep the neighbor's cats away from my new astroturf lawn. It only worked for 1 day. Afterwards, the cat kept coming back to poop on my lawn despite reapplying new repellent over and over. I also think I got used products because there was no seal on these and all 3 cannisters were only half full. Waste of money.

Worked well to keep a feral cat out of a small garden
I purchased this after making a small garden in my backyard. The nice soft garden soil and mulch turned out to be an attractive place for a local feral cat to use as a litterbox. I like the cat, but needed to discourage using the garden as a bathroom, so I purchased this product. On the first day I cleaned up the cat waste and sprinkled some Critter Ridder around the garden, but the next morning the cat had again provided some free fertilizer. That day I cleaned up again and sprinked it heavily around and in the garden and that seems to have done the trick - it's been over two weeks without any issues even though we see that cat just about daily. This is a bottle of a flaky material with a very strong pepper smell. It seems like it would work well over surfaces that won't get disturbed (such that the flakes don't get buried), and the instructions say it will need to be re-applied after rain. Gloves are recommended for manual spreading and I wouldn't want to spread it on a windy day.

Disappointing results
I’ve used this for years. Don’t know if they changed formula or something. Used to help. Might work for mice or chipmunks? Does *not* work to repel rats.
