I got the VIVO steel reinforcement bracket mount to support my 4-screen monitor stand, and I couldn’t be happier with how well it works. I was concerned when I went from a desktop dual monitor stand to a clamp dual monitor stand, that the thin desktop would get damaged or bow under the weight. My desk is a folding origami desk, and has moved with me through many moves. After asking some friends what their setup was like, one of them stated that he had bought some metal sheeting from the hardware store and put it between the mount and desk to provide extra support. GENIUS! But I didn't want some ugly metal sheets on my nice new set up, so that's where this product came in. It's a simple product. It's two metal pieces, thick enough I feel like it does provide support, but not super thick. Before my computer was set up, I was using the pieces as weights to hold down liners because they're pretty heavy. It came with a separate adhesive padding for the bottom of the top piece which you have to put on yourself. Bottom piece does NOT come with padding, but I don't really think it needs to. If you really want it, you can add it yourself. The end product looks nice and I'm satisfied with it.

Got this to beef up my monitor mount. The clamp had a pretty small footprint so I got this to help spread out some of the tension of the arm and my desk. Simple but effective.

This bracket provided great protection for my desk for my monitor mount.. highly recommend this if you have a glass desk or even if just don't want to mess up your desk.

The Magnus desk is metal encased particle board, so the desk tends to bend with a narrow base monitor stand, have 3 monitors on a single stand, also by VIVO, but it was sagging forward. After installing the reinforcement plates, there's no sag, very stable. The only problem for the Magnus desk is that the plate narrows the gap for the cable management door, so a bundle of wires that used to fit now have to fan out. But the plus side is that it spreads the pressure over a larger area and my magnus mat won't have indents from the mount base.

I got this in combination with the Vivo dual arm stand. It is perfect. I would suggest though, especially if you are using a a hardwood table, to get some offcut leather from a local saddlery and cut a top and bottom bit 5mm or so bigger than the plates to help cushion the considerable forces that thing thing puts out in order to protect your table.

Worked like a charm for my live edge wooden desk. I needed a 'clamp tablet' to even out the gap from the curved edges of my desk for the monitor arm I needed to clamp on. Worked perfectly. Sturdy and looks very professional. The quality and material is great. And I love that both clamps come with a soft rubber on one side, so it doesn't scratch your desk.
