Foaming Facial Cleanser, Face Wash for Oily Skin, 12fl oz

I think I have combination skin, I don't specifically know what my TRUE skin type is but I do know that my face gets super greasy throughout the day and during the night, but I also break out very easily. I've always had problems finding cleansers that get rid of the nasty oils on my face and make me feel truly clean. Most cleansers that I've felt have "worked" for me make my face feel tight afterwards, and I always associated that tightness with cleanliness and cleansing. That all changed when I got this. Everyone does recommend CeraVe but after I used "CeraVe in the tub" and it broke me out horribly, I was wary of all CeraVe products. I decided to give this a shot and see how it worked for me. First of all it truly does what it says it does, my face DOES NOT feel tight afterwards but I still feel like my face is "clean". Sometimes I even forget to put on moisturizer right after a shower because my face feels so smooth, clean and quenched. My boyfriend has noticed a change in my complexion and even asked if I was using something different because my face looked so clear! This product even curbs the hormonal acne I get about a month before my birth control appointment is due. It's a lot of quality product for the price, and you only need a small amount to work up a lather. This is truly for "Normal to Oily skin" because my boyfriend started using it to wash his face as well and it looks so much better, no more flakiness for him! I'm really glad I gave this a shot and I will try incorporating more CeraVe products into my skincare routine slowly and see if my results are even better. If you think you have oily skin and your oily face is what mostly makes you feel gross throughout the day, then I really do think you should give this product a try, It gets rid of makeup and built up grease in one wash, and it doesn't make your face feel tight afterwards which I think is key. I like this so much I have a subscription, but it lasts so long I only have it set to get one every 4 months and that's with two people using it at the same time.

I have struggled with acne since I was nine years old. From 9-14 I had really had acne all over my face, chest, and back, and then I took accutane and that cleared it up. When I was 16, I went on birth control because I would never have a period. At the beginning of this year, I went off birth control and my acne went crazy again because I wouldn't have a period. I got it really bad on my neck and jawline as well as my cheeks, which is where a body usually will break out after coming off of birth control, as well as acne on my shoulders and back. This acne is, of course, not nearly as bad as when I was younger, but still annoying and a confidence shammer, especially since I am 20 years old. This past summer I refused to go to the beach and the pool because I was so ashamed of what my face looked like without makeup and the acne on my back. I bought this after reading reviews on here and after trying a few products that didn't work. I didn't realize that this product wasn't directed for body acne, but it has helped with that as well. I have been using this product for a little over a month and have seen/felt the most improvement with this product over anything else. Clearing acne is a long process and usually if people don't see instant results, they give up. Don't give up on this! I feel so much more confident with my face, even if all my pimples aren't cleared up, but my face feels so much more smooth because this product really does smooth it out. For the first three weeks I used it once a day in the shower and last week I amped it up to twice a day and I've noticed the most change this past week. This product is wonderful because it smoothes out skin, so it's not itchy and I don't feel compelled to pick acne scabs, which is why it has helped even with my shoulder and back acne even though it's not meant for that. It's cleared up the acne on the top of my back but some still remain on my shoulders and lower back. I may switch to a different solution for body acne, but I am certainly sticking to this for my face. It's incredible! The first pic is after first use, the second is after a month. Will update with after two months. Also, I still have a lot left in this bottle going into month 2.

I am a 24 year old female with very oily and extremely sensitive skin. I've never had terrible acne so I can't speak for that; however, I do have pores that tend to clog up and used to have the occasional breakout (several pimples at once, once a month or so). I have eczema and constantly have to search for products that are not too drying but also keep the oil at bay. I don't know what it is about this cleanser. I think it's generally considered mild, but it works wonderfully for me. My dermatologist recommended it to me about 3 years ago and I've used it since. It's not great at removing makeup but that's not it's purpose. I use a rose oil cleanser at night to remove make up along with this cleanser in the morning and after the rose oil at night. It makes my face feel very clean. I also use it in combination with the moisturizing lotion and my skin seems to be very happy. I do not have any redness now and my skin tone looks a lot more even. I still get the occasional pimple (maybe once every two-three months). Overall my skin looks pretty good and it's definitely clear majority of the time although I still struggle with clogged pores on my nose. Another thing I love about this product is that it's just mild enough to where you can combine with other products and not have to worry about over doing it. For example, every once in awhile, I'll feel like using a strong exfoliant or chemical peeling agent. I can use the cleanser right after and not have to worry about the combination causing a harsh skin reaction. I think I finally found the daily combination that works for me. First of all, I'm 24 and have been dealing with horrendous acne since the age of 15. I've been a long time Proactiv fan, but recently it seems like my acne has grown immune to it so I was back on the hunt to find new products. I've tried several, including some prescription ones from my dermatologist but nothing seemed to tame the acne beast within! Finally, I'm writing this review with the clearest skin I've had since I was a little girl (yes, even better than Proactiv when it was working for me!). First, this is by far the best daily cleanser to use. It doesn't over dry which even if you have oily skin like me, is very important. Often times you won't know if your cleanser is overdrying your face because your body will produce more oil to make up for it, and then you'll have more acne! Second, you need a good exfoliator to clean away all of the dead skin and gunk that clogs your pores to begin with. You have to be careful because a lot of exfoliators are so harsh on the skin that they can actually open up small microscopic sores that bacteria nestles inside of and creates acne. My favorite exfoliator is TreeActiv Anti Acne & Rosacea Treatment Sulfur Mask Plus Rhassoul, Bentonite Clay Mask with Witch Hazel & Aloe Vera - Refreshing Lemon Scent (1 Jar) . This one leaves your face feeling o so fresh! Also, what's best is that this exfoliator also doubles as the product you need for step 4 :) Third, a good spot treatment is needed! The standard benzoyl peroxide and salycilic acid treatments tend to stop working before you even finish the first tube so it was hard for me to find one that worked really well. Because I liked the exfoliator so much, I tried TreeActiv+ Tea Tree Oil Acne Solution for Advanced Acne Treatment - All Natural Acne Spot Treatment - Blemishes Gone or Your Money Back! by the same brand and it has worked flawlessly! Fourth, a good mask that helps pull the impurities and bacteria from under the skin is needed about 2 to 3 times a week. Yes MEN, even you guys should use this! My boyfriend doesn't have as bad of an acne problem as I do, but the acne he did have was remedied by just this step alone! TreeActiv Anti Acne & Rosacea Treatment Sulfur Mask Plus Rhassoul, Bentonite Clay Mask with Witch Hazel & Aloe Vera - Refreshing Lemon Scent (1 Jar) is the same product as step 2 but instead of using it as a wash, you apply it to your damp face and let it dry for 15 minutes before using water to wash it off. If you do all 4 of these steps, I promise you'll have much much much clearer skin :)

This cleanser is kinda the definition of “reliable but not exciting.” It does exactly what it says: cleans your oily skin without nuking your moisture barrier. No fragrance, no drama, no random breakouts. It’s basically the responsible friend of skincare. It foams nicely, feels gentle, and keeps things balanced — not squeaky‑dry, not greasy. Hyaluronic acid + niacinamide is a solid combo, so your skin stays calm even if you’re washing twice a day. It’s not life‑changing, but it’s definitely a staple. Docking one point because it’s not giving “wow,” just giving “I show up and do my job.” Pros Gentle on oily skin No fragrance (bless) Doesn’t strip your face Big bottle = lasts forever Cons Not super exciting More “steady queen” than “glow-up moment”

I have recently switched from using expensive products (CLARINS, or PREVAGE system or Peter Thomas Roth) products...to the Korean skincare routine. The expensive products were not fixing my skin issues... Even though i took Accutane back in the day which fixed my really bad acne, since then I still dealt with break outs, combo skin, bad texture because of moderate acne scarring, redness, and large pores on my nose. I would NEVER leave my house with out makeup on period.... I have a few Korean and Chinese friends and I started asking about how they manage their perfect looking skin. Lo and Behold, the Korean Skincare Routine enters my life. You can get things just as good a quality for half the price out of Korean skincare lines IMO...the system may seem like a lot of work but once you get the routine it really isn't so bad. Why should we take a moment to pamper ourselves? Prior to using this system even with the expensive products i was previously using i was embarrassed of my skin. Now, if I want to the only makeup i really need to do to quickly get out the door is maybe eyebrows and some mascara... My skin has completely turned around. So much so that my boyfriend has had me start using the products on him and a friend asked me to send her the following routine information. Since my friend has been using the korean routine products (with some modification for her aging skin as she is 50) ....She is so impressed as well. I’ve been using CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser twice a day for about 3 months on my oily skin. The gel texture foams up easily with just a small amount and removes sunscreen, light makeup, and oil without a lot of scrubbing. What I like is that my face feels clean and refreshed afterward but not squeaky or overly tight, especially if I follow with a moisturizer. It’s fragrance‑free, which is great for my sensitive side, and I like that it’s formulated with ceramides and other barrier‑friendly ingredients instead of harsh detergents. Overall, this is a solid everyday cleanser for normal to oily or combination skin that wants a deep clean without stripping. I’d recommend it if you struggle with excess oil or breakouts but still want something gentle enough for daily use.

I was using a well known apricot scrub for my facial cleanser, until my esthetician and make up artist freaked out on me when they asked what I was using. They said that it was too heavy of an exfoliant and was creating micro-tears in my skin and that I should try this facial cleanser by cerave instead. After four weeks of continual use, I have to say my skin is looking much improved. I'm a 32 year old male hairstylist, and yes I work with estheticians and make up artists a lot. I am in the beauty industry and as such, I am expected to look well groomed. I was skeptical of this product at first since it didn't foam like it advertises. I even questioned if the product was legit for the first week until reading other reviews that said they experienced the same consistency. This product has no smell, which I love because I am prone to migraines. No smell is definitely a plus for me. I didn't see a difference after a week, but in good faith I continued to use the product hoping to see results. After two weeks of use I noticed that my skin looked brighter and somehow more youthful. I also was using a pore reducing toner purchased from doterra. Between these two products my skin is now looking amazing. My pores have shrunk as advertised. This took a little effort on my part however as they needed to be manually extracted. Once I got rid of them though they haven't come back! I was especially concerned about the pores on my nose as those were the most obvious. My skin is also a lot less red and seems like it has more substance, as if it helped boost the collagen production somehow. Now that I have used this product for four weeks I am definitely a big fan! I use this face wash every night before bed. I imagine the only thing that would make it better would be to use it in conjunction with a Clarisonic.

The gel may smell a bit alcoholic but it’s not, after the wash there’s no smell at all, just like water wash. Works quite well on my combo skin, removes the oil and dirt fantastically. It’s the most value for money brand than some other US, French brands of the same quality. My seller was “beauty cares”.

CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser is a great all-round face wash that removes oil, dirt, and makeup without stripping your skin. The foam feels light and refreshing, and the added ceramides help protect your skin’s natural barrier. It’s great for daily use, though if your skin is on the drier side you might want a richer follow-up moisturiser.

Very mild for oily, sensitive skin and I haven't got any breakouts since I used this. Love it!! :) huge bottle lasts a looong time! For the packaging: Hope you could put a masking tape around the cap, so it's not loose and won't spill when delivered. Received it and the cap was a bit open. But no other problem. Will still order in this shop next time. Thank you. :)
