When I received the airbrush set I was estatic. I got it out and followed the little directions that I had recieved with the airbrush and it wasn't working. I had to get my dad, who is familar with airbrushes because he paints cars for a living, to come and set it up. Well we achieved to get air flowing out of the compressor and then the Master airbrush itself was not working correctly... So we had to pull the airbrush apart and put it back together to get the trigger to work correctly. It seems as though the piece that secures the trigger was loose so it was flopping back and forth. Finally when we got everything together it worked perfectly I have no complaints about its performance but the setup was a little annoying.. It was shipped in a timely manner so I have no complaints about that either. All in all it was a great price for what you get, I bought this set with the pearl food coloring as well. I am mainly going to be using this set for decorating cakes. I also wanted to note that it states in the directions not to use the compressor for more than 10 minutes at a time and to take a 15 minute break before using again. I Think this set would be perfect for personal and commerical use. ****Update**** I've had this airbrush set for around 3-4 months now, and it is still chugging along! I did have a mishaps with it (My fault), the needle became logged in the tip somehow. Which I'm guessing is a result of my two little brothers messing... Anyways, I started tapping the needle on a table to try and jiggle it loose, so I could get the tip out. This was definitely a no no, the top of the needle bent, rendering the needle useless. Lucky enough, it is super easy to fix and get replacement tips for this airbrush. This same company, TCP Global, sells the needle kits. .2 Needle, Nozzle, Cap Kit G22,G23,G24,G25,G26,G34,G39 This is the link to the needle kit that I purchased, and It works well with this airbrush (G22 Model). I'm changing my rating to 5 stars because I feel that this has been a very reliable product, despite the first hiccups I had with it. I use it all the time, and it has held up very well. I can also state that this compressor has a considerable amount of power to it, I have air flow set very low on it. (I can't speak for other airbrush machines) But I feel that if you are not needing a heavy duty compressor like this one, you could get away with a cheaper set. I personally have fallen in love with this machine, it makes my cake decorating life easier. If I am using fondant on a cake and the color is super hard to get, I airbrush it! It is so convenient to just airbrush a deep purple, blue, or even red on the cake instead of.... Kneading, kneading, and more kneading. I also have to note that I still have all the airbrush colors close to full, those that came with this kit. I've used them so much but there is still a ton there. The only thing that doesn't last as long is the white pearl. The little tubes that come in the pearl set run out very quickly. Instead of buying the pearl set I would buy a large bottle of regular, and metallic pearl. This should cover all your pearling needs! I haven't really used any of the colored pearl tubes, and the tint of the colored pearls doesn't add much to the cake. *****ANOTHER UPDATE***** I just wanted to pop back in and give everyone an update on how my compressor is working. It is STILL working like a charm and I use it now more than ever. It has made coloring black/red cakes so much easier. Over the last couple of years I've gotten to where I make my own edible airbrush colors. You just have to make sure the consistency is correct and you will get a great finish. I guess we will see how far it will go. If I have to replace it, then I will definitely be looking at another compressor with TCP. I also looked back over some of the other reviews and see that there is a lot of people having problems setting up the unit. From my earlier review, you can see I did as well. So it does take patience trying to set it up. I would advise that TCP needs to have better instructions for placing everything together just right. As far as controlling the airflow, you can control it from the black knob just below the air-gauge. That was how I was able to lower the psi and get a nice flow through my airbrush. I have decorated cakes for a while but I have never used an airbrush. This product is great! you can adjust the PSI to accommodate any type of detail you want. The compressor does get a little warm but it has never shut off or given me any issues. There are no instructions for the airbrush itself but [...] has some great videos on cleaning and maintaining your airbrush. The colors that this set came with are nice colors. It is also a good price for everything this kit includes. I would definitely recommend this product to cake decorators!!

I love this airbrush set! The 1st time I ordered this, I received a damaged one. It had an air leak and it wasn't blowing out any air. I returned it, they issued a refund and I repurchased it again. The 2nd one I received was good. Worked like a charm. I wish it had more accurate instructions, I would have never figured out how to use this on my own; that's my reason for the 4 stars. Luckily. I had a friend that knew how to use it and he taught me. I've used it about 3 times so far and to be honest, you can get really good results if you know what you're doing. I suggest reading up on some techniques and watching some YouTube videos for help. I can't wait to keep using this little kit!

I have one for cake decorating and my son has one for model making and the control you get with this airbrush is wonderful!!!! I have used ones that are only a small amount less in money but this one is worth its weight in gold as far as the how much better it works

This airbrush kit works great! The directions that came with it were a little lacking but there's not much to it so it's pretty self-explanatory. But when I turned it on the pressure was too high so it shut off automatically and I had to play around with it to figure out how to reduce that pressure to get it running again. But once I figured that out I had a blast airbrushing my cake!! I don't think I'll ever waste time again kneading color into all that fondant!!

I was very surprised at how easy this was. I don't consider myself very talented but this made me feel very crafty indeed. Yes, there was a small manufacturing blip with air leakage (a bolt?) but if you have a handy man around(thankfully I do) and an extra couple of dollars, you can pick up a piece at Home Depot or Lowes and *poof* problem solved. I got this to decorate icing but now am excited about all the application possibilities. it's quick and easy and with a little practice you can get good fast. I'm going to order another spray gun for my other non-food paint projects. It's relatively quiet compared to other air compressors I've bought which almost deafened me. I haven't used it more than a few minutes at a time so I can't attest to endurance and heavy usage. Love it!!! Makes me feel so crafty. This is so much easier than creating a whole bunch of different bowls or bags of icing!!!!!

I was very happy with this set. The colors are good, and the airbrush worked well for me. I would consider myself a novice when it comes to cake decorating (and using an airbrush), and I feel that this is a great starter set. It can be tricky to get everything tightened up - I had to use a lot of sealing tape to get the regulator tight in the position I wanted it to be in.

Great true to labeled colors. Make sure to order this way before you need it, because airbrushing definitely has a learning curve to it. Comes with a great practice guide. Follow it! Great, heavy, durable brush and compressor. You'll feel like a professional with this! Doesn't come with cleaning instructions, which are very important to maintaining the brushes quality, so be sure to youtube it, so you can maintain it properly.
