Can you see the time at night without having to turn on the display?

You cannot see the time at night without turning on the display.

Pressing the Memory button, the "Store" does not come up. Even returned the 1st and got a 2nd unit, thinking the 1st was bad. Same problem. Help?

Hi Beckster..im Dave from Pa. Sorry, im not able to answer your question from 12/29/14. The unit I ordered was defective and I returned it also. believe it or not, it was lost in shipping, so I have nol idea if Amazon even got it or not. I don't recommend this unit. Hope that helped.Dave

Can you set alerts just for tsunamis?

As I read the directions, probably not. The radio responds to bulletins broadcast by NOAA. Tsunamis are just one of those. However, if the siren goes off and you live by the ocean and it is a beautiful day (or evening) outside then that would probably be a tsunami warning. But you will also get wind, hurricane, thunderstorm tornado, etc.Hope this helps.

Is this loud enough for hearing impaired?

It's pretty loud but have a hearing impaired I might look for another model that's more volume adjustable. Also think about buying a unit that you can hook up external speakers through with a auxiliary Jack
