Sylvania SDVD8738 7 Inch Dual Screen Portable DVD Player

Got this in before the expected delivery date. They was just like they was supposed to be. Got one set in and wasnt working right. Contacted the seller and they sent another one immediately. Works great

The only problem I experienced with this unit was the mounting was very cheap. But what should I expect the price was cheap. I don't use them as much since they do not hold the screens very secure. The player and sound work great and with a little work I think anyone could improve the mounting holders for the headrest. Unit does work good and there is little to no distortion and jarring of normal road conditions does not seem to affect the performance either. All in all I would recommend this to other people.

Pros: The two screens are large enough for my kids to see from the seat. The speakers are plenty loud and there is a speaker in both units so they do not have to share sound. So far the unit seems to run well and we have had no problems with it. The screen quality is good and the price--at least through Amazon--was as well. My four year old can use all of the controls on her own which is huge when I am driving alone.Cons: The system for mounting this to the back of the seat is aweful. In order to change DVDs you have to slide the primary unit out of the holder because it is a top loader. The mounting system can also cause funny angles making the screens hard to see. There is no way my four year old can change DVDs by herself. Also the cord connecting the two screens is very short as is the cord to plug it into the adapter in the car.

What can I say...it works.I struggled with the headrest straps for a little while. But i am a little clumsy sometimes.Like I said, it works. It plays movies and keeps the kids quiet.The remote is nice so we don't have to start at the beginning of the movie every time we get in the car.

I ordered this to replace a dying car dvd set for my kids in the backseat. While the picture quality was fine, the strap system used to attach the screens to the headrest was absolutely useless. It is extremely fiddly and hard to attach properly and you cannot change the disc while the screen is attached to the headrest. The straps also get in the way of the screen easily.I also had problems with the second screen working correctly. I ended up returning the product (an irritating process that forced me to speak with several snippy customer service reps).I wouldn't recommend this product or the seller.

The TV's themselves are good, but I have a few complaints. First is the attachment for the headrest is not very convenient due to the fact that if you want to change out a dvd you have to take the whole thing off. I have had other ones where the dvd opens and you switch out the dvd with the tv still attached to the headrest. Also, there was only one headrest attachment in the box so I had to "rig" the other one. Last, is the lighter chord to run the TV's in the car was broken; luckily the chord from the previous set I owned worked with these

i bought this because it was cheap and it states "WITH USB/SD CARD READER"!!! but after i received it, i found out i was deceived! there's NO usb/sd card reader on this thing! but besides that, over all its working fine and my niece loves it. she watches her barney dvd on it in the car and at home when the tv isnt available for her...i would of gave it a higher rating if it wasnt for the false title they have~

We decided to purchase this item for our 2yr old son. he doesn't do very well in the car and we had plans to visit my family who live 3hrs away. our lap top doesn't last long enough to play a whole movie so he would get mad, so this dvd player is amazing! plus, when our 5 month old son gets old enough, the dual screen will definetly come in-handy:) very happy with this purchase!

I purchased this product for a long road trip so that my kids would be entertained. The product was delivered in a very timely manner by Amazon.However, it did not work. I tried more than 20 DVD's and it kept saying "no disc". Although we managed to get one DVD working eventually, the next day that DVD too could not be read by the machine.I have returned the product to Amazon and received a refund.

Not sure how companies can sell this kind of junk while knowing the consumer is getting shafted. I should have taken the other reviewers word for it. It works once or twice and will then, predictably, fail and be unable to read DVDs. Sylvania is permanently on my do-not-buy-this-first-class-rubbish list.
