Great Dutch Oven!!
I have recently purchased 3 Lodge Dutch Ovens. They are a bit heavy, but I am nearly 75-years old, and I don't have a problem at all. I love this cookware! I've tried several recipes that require oven baking or preparing on my stove top. I like the fact that I can prepare most meals in the Dutch oven without using other pans or bowls. Furthermore, these Dutch ovens are VERY easy to clean! The red Lodge Cast Iron oven is beautiful!

Lodge is a dependable, quality product
It is heavy, of course. Cast iron cookware is heavy. Cooks evenly. Easy to use and easy to clean. The Enamel coating makes it a breeze to clean. I would recommend.

Ideal for Baking and Braising
Fantastic! I used it to make sourdough bread, and it baked beautifully with a perfect crust and even cooking. The dual handles make it easy to maneuver, and itโs oven safe up to 500ยฐF. A durable, high-quality Dutch oven thatโs perfect for baking, braising, and more. love the color!

Love LODGE products
The red is a beautiful color. Size looks perfect for what I wanted, cooking a medium pot roast, soup, or strew. Use and love LODGE products. Did much research and found this cooking pot to be substantial with a very competitive price. To order one day and receive the next day is truly amazing. Thank you AMAZON, I look forward to enjoying a yummy pot roast tomorrow.

A Great 782974 Hour Decision
So my guy's been wanting an enameled cast iron Dutch Oven for awhile, but doesn't often splurge on kitchen stuff unless it's already edible, or for me. Therefore, I decided I wanted to get him one for his birthday. I admit, it was a semi selfish gift, as I'm sure to benefit from all the delicious junk he's going to cook in it. After spending about 5 hours getting lost in review holes and browsing every possible website ever for options, and trying to decide whether 4.5 quart or 5.5 quart was better, and whether I preferred to get him "Tiger Blood Red" or "Deeper Than Purple," and cancelling an order for a *lesser* branded model, I bit the bullet on this one... I hate the internet! Too many options! Despite the initial turmoil, I (and he) am/was very happy with the decision to go with this model. First of all, Lodge just makes good cast iron cookware. It's kind of common knowledge. The only issue I've ever really had with them are small handles, but this guy doesn't have that problem. It's sturdy and quite efficient, as it made some of the best 2-3 hour chili I've had (probably ever). These things are great for thick soups and stews. Don't forget to take it out of the oven often enough to scrape the inner bowl crusties back into whatever you're making, it gets awfully chunky and delicious in most cases, but I can't speak for every dish everyone is going to make. This is the perfect size for making enough to feed at least 4 people, probably more! We just eat a lot in this house, so it's hard to accurately gauge what the average amount of people fed would be. Lastly... that blue sure does look sharp on the stovetop!

Not the fanciest - but is very good, gets the job done and wont break the bank
If I were stranded on a remote island and could only bring one pot, it would be the Lodge 4.5-quart model. Itโs a versatile workhorse that can handle baking, frying, sautรฉing, braising, deep frying, slow cooking, and even stovetop-to-oven cooking. I use it as a slow cooker in the oven. I also have a 2 quart Le Creuset, a 5.5 quart Staub, and a 7qt Misen. My favorite is the Misen because of all the creative dishes Iโve made in it. I use the 5.5qt Staub for bread baking, the cute little 2qt Le Creuset for small batch sauces, toasting spices, rice, reheating soups and leftovers, and the 4.5-quart Lodge for my everyday workhorse tasks. Cooking in or cleaning the Lodge is just as easy as its siblings. I havenโt had any chips or dings, and I only use wood utensils, so thereโs no unexpected staining. The interior color of the Lodge is similar to the Le Creuset, a warm beige or cream. I sense that the Le Creuset has a better quality finish, but I canโt quantify it. This differs from the Staub, which has a black surface. The Lodgeโs corner shape, where the side walls meet the bottom, is steeply curved, similar to but not as much as the Misen, which is almost flat. The Le Creuset is the most curved. The lid on the Lodge isnโt as refined as the other lids and allows for more steam to escape (I canโt quantify this though). However, I often make a parchment paper cartouche using it instead of using the heavy lid. The Lodge might not be the fanciest or most refined Dutch oven out there, but itโs very good. It wonโt break the bank compared to other models and if I needed another 4qt, I get this Lodge.

Why pay all the extra for Le cruiset when these are as good as they are? Love it.

Great multipurpose item
This is perfect as a kadai. A casserole. A pot. Its a multipurpose item. I made mutton curry in this without a pressure cooker. Then i fried some fishes. Its great. Previously I had to return their shallow cassorole as it was bigger than my induction and stove cooktop howevern this dutch oven is perfect. Its a great and a lovely purchase. Would love to buy other sizes also but idk why currently there isnโt much lodge enamelled dutch oven available. I thought of gifting. Will keep my eyes open if they are available anytime soom.
