Coffee Cascara, CATURRA TEA, Natural Focus 120g Organic - healthy fruit of the coffee plant!

I was in whole foods looking for a coffee substitute one day and ended up purchasing a cascara soda, just to try it out. It was so good I got another. Funny thing, I could never have just one, it was always two. This got expensive so I hopped on amazon to 'buy more for less. I'd describe Cascara as a more well rounded caffeine experience. It's lighter crisper, and less acidic than coffee. And I have no complaints about CATERRA TEA's brand. I finished the bag in a week or so, and will buy again. Maybe a bigger bag next time.

I've been using this for several weeks now. I bought it for the beneficial effects on the mine and memory, but I realized that the actual fruit does far more than the extract. I've tried this both as a cold drink and a hot one. It is neither tea or coffee, but like a combination of both. I get the energy of a coffee and while having the light flavor of a tea. I also have improved concentration when I consume it and the for me, I like to eat the fruit skins after I finish the liquid. It's cheaper than the Neuriva pills and has a really good aroma. I intend to buy more.

Is rather good, something I would like to keep around, but not have every day. Definitely worth a try. Does not taste like coffee, does not taste like black tea, has a fruity hint and good. Sorry that's not very descriptive, but it is hard to describe. Definitely good.

I am hooked on this tea/coffee. I just tried it a few months ago and have reordered. They say it has caffeine but I don't notice it like I do with regular coffee from regular coffee. I would describe the taste as a cross between tea and coffee with a slight fruit taste. I would recommend you research the health benefits of this product. That is why I ordered it in the first place, never believing I would like the taste. Others in my work office are now drinking it instead of regular coffee. We are all hooked.

How to describe the flavor..... Well, this doesn't taste anything like coffee. It's bold like a really strong black tea but still not quite tea. Instead it has hints of fruit & wood or possibly mushroom like dirt flavor. A very pleasant earthy undertone. Refreshing with a light bitter note that intensitifies as it steeps or cools down. I added a bit of sugar to balance that bitterness to my liking. A bit of honey pairs wonderfully with the bitterness & earthiness. Adding more then just sweetness. I have struggled finding a tea that complements honey in a way I enjoy. That is until now. I will be getting a subscription & drinking this everyday.

Arrived yesterday, first cup at breakfast and no, it doesn’t taste like coffee—but other reviewers said that so I knew. Tastes more like sour tea if I’m being honest. I need to get off the coffee because I think it elevates my blood pressure but I’m not sure this is going to do it. I rather want to add stevia and try as an after swim tea—because the drink Bai is made with coffeefruit and it does help revive me after a swim. It was my intent to make a drink like Bai when ordering so I’ll review my review after I do that. (Certainly won’t pass for coffee, lol.) Seems to be a good product though. Haven’t tried any other but the berries plump whole (in photo, just dug them out of the cup) and good in the recommended time.

I’ve been looking for this for soooo long and it is beyond my expectations! I haven’t tried it cold but the hot is amazing and extremely tasty. I boil 16oz water with 2 spoons of cascara, I add 3-4 green cardamom, half 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and ginger. Add sugar to your liking. Boil for 30 seconds and use a strainer to pour into your cup. Great value for the money and the aroma is subtle.

No directions on or in box as how to brew. When you open the box on the top inside of the lid it says to go to their website to find out how to brew it. When you go to their website you have to give them all of your personal info before they tell you how to brew it. I have noticed this trend on a lot of websites lately, they want to collect all this info about you before you can access the info on their website. Maybe this works for them but it makes me leave and determine not to purchase that particular product again because of their business practices. So I brewed on my own from other sources. The taste was different but okay; however overall, since I am a sensitive person, the tea being the only change in my strict dietary habits made me feel yucky, a little anxious nervous. If I could return it I would based on my decision to not brew it again. Unfortunately it is not something I can feed to the chickens so in the garbage it goes.
