The Sound Quality Is Great and The Functions Are Easy To Use. Very Convenient To Carry Around. Any Two Double AA Batteries Will Last For A Long Time In This Unit. The Quality of This Tape Recorder/Player is Very Durable.

A very poor product
This recorder is extremely poor in sound quality. Background noise is excessive, and for all but the most basic uses is money not well spent. The fact that Sony has its name on this product serves to diminish the outstanding reputation that company has for creating highly valued products.This recorder should be renamed Sony TCM-150 Substandard Cassette Voice Recorder.

Excellent deal for the money
I like Sony products, and this cassette player/recorder works perfect for our meetings... The organization we are working with requires cassettes for recording... Great quality!

Good price for collectible cassette player.
My son wanted an authentic Sony Walkman, similar to the model on Guardians of the Galaxy movie. This was a working model at a good price. Thanks!

Buyer beware; seller verify
This was not just buyer's remorse. The rewind doesn't work properly. I noticed in your original write up you said, "it doesn't look used. Evaluation of electronic should be more than just "looks." it's function should be carefully checked and it's apparent this unit's basic functions were not properly checked. Will be reluctant to buy used. Buyer beware!

The best one I have found on the market so far.
I remember purchasing this item a few years ago for $39.00. I don’t believe that the value for the money at this point is good . Sound quality not bad and it’s easy to use.

Stopped working after about 12 uses
It worked fine at first and I enjoyed having it, but after about 12 uses it started having problems. First I thought it was the tape - it would play ok for a bit then the sound would distort and become very faint, then no sound at all. Then I tried 2 other tapes and the same thing happened. Dang!

I had high hopes for this vintage used Sony tape recorder, but after an optimistic start, it started warbling on playback just after the 30 day return window had closed. Disappointing, especially because I made enquiries about its quality before ordering and was assured by the seller it would be fine. Not much I can do about it now.
