Perfect Parrot Blend - Natural Food for Large Parrots (5 pounds)

My bird is SO fussy so I'm trying anything to vary his diet. This is an EXPENSIVE choice & honestly you could make your own but I am just right now I'm not into blending my own. This food as far as I'm concerned is human grade. So far my bird likes the CASHEWS and other nuts/seeds...and dried bananas. I'm sure he'll eventually find the peanuts & some other dried fruits he may choose to eat. I don't think he's going to eat the dried veggies but at least I tried. He's a very picky Amazon and likes what he likes and that's it. It is definitely high quality ingredients & it was worth for me to try. If my bird doesn't eat this it isn't because the product isn't high quality because it certainly is. Like I mentioned a person could make their own mix similar to what's in this and maybe save some money and also being able to pick the ingredients your bird will eat. However, if you're way busy and don't have the time, if you can afford it, I'd certainly recommend. I do think fresh veggies & fruits are probably best of course, but like I said, my parrot is so darn picky I'm trying as many different choices I can.

My little corella LOVES this food mixed with his pellets. Very healthy veggies and fruits in this brand. Good price for the quality and size.

I have an african grey parrot. This along with Harrisons course high potency are my go to brands. My bird doesn't like the Dr. Harveys Exotic Parrot as much as the Perfect parrot, due to the nut blend and dried fruits in each. I would highly recommend this brand over other bird food brands, this one is the most complete out of the bird foods available and I have been feeding this to my Grey for about 18 years with zero complications. There was only one incident in this time where we had a bad seal on one of the packages and it was rectified almost immediately.

My Goffin’s Cockatoo is picky . He ate it but was more excited to see it the second bag . It is fresh. Smells wonderful . It is like daily treat and great for hiding in his search toys . the nuts and coconut are a favorite. Keep it in the refrigerator so room temperature is when he digs in to enjoy

I’ve been purchasing Perfect Pet and its companion Exotic Food for my various parrots for well over 20 years. At times, to save money, we have had to mix this with the less expensive brands, all touting to be nutritious. Each time, my beautiful flock’s feathers become less shiny within weeks, their beaks and legs seem to become dry, and they are not as happy. To maintain a healthy weight while giving my flock natural time to forage, I stick with Perfect Parrot. It has been tough with the price hikes, but in the warmer weather, the cost usually drops again. It truly is worth cutting other personal costs elsewhere for my babies.

The food is fresh and it has a lot of fruit and nuts, but it’s costly. It hasn’t stopped me from using it though.

I first learned about this bird food when my alexandrine parrot was sick. A well known avian veterinarian that I took my bird to stressed the importance of changing my bird to this food. He told me it's the best thing to feed the bird. My baby got well and after his next molt you could definitely see a major difference. His feathers were beautiful and he looked so much healthier. This bird food is the best thing. They also sell it for smaller birds as well. They sell healthy dog food too! It is so imperative to keep our feather and fur babies healthy! I still take my bird to that vet for annual wellness visits. He is an hour away but I trust him totally! He even has Dr. Harveys in his clinic so the patients can purchase. It might be a little more expensive but I'd rather keep my baby healthy and happy. So glad to see they now sell on Amazon it makes it easier for me to get. Thank you Dr. Harveys!
