What can this do for my audio quality? Can it improve bass? I'm using the Sennheiser 598's. Thanks for your time!

Assuming that you are asking about the use of headphones in a car audio application, the SSL4EQ can raise the pre-amp line-out voltage from the FM/CD/HeadUnit to 7 volts. A typical head-unit alone outputs from 2 to 4 volts. The voltage rise achieved can help audio quality because a stronger signal will better reproduce weak audio frequencies and background music which may be difficult to isolate and amplify down the line.Signal voltage rise would also produce rises in volume overall, and a good clean volume rise in bass frequencies.This all depends on clean, quality audio signals from the start. Your device must also be able to handle audio line voltage rise as applied.Whether you are Aux Bluetooth or direct plugin I don't know, but if you can modify your line output using an EQ, at least you'll gain some useful rise in signal voltage until you reach distortion levels and you will have one more way to tune sound frequencies with the EQ.Hope that helps-you might also contact Sound Storm Laboratories tech, or for non-car audio (portable Windows media, USB devices and Android apps) try contacting the folks at Fiio for headphones amplification. So the knob lights that it shows in the picture are not actually there right?

All these answers are right the light aluminates from the circle around the knob  not on the knob itself. but I wil say that this is a great EQ I use it instead of a head unit with my phone...

can I use a monoblock amp of 500 watts and one os this for the mids cus I got another mono amp for the  subs

do the controls push in?

Only the button to change the color ....and the button to change to "aux" or "RCA" but the rest of them don't push in
