Great box for the price. Well made. Sounds great. Looks great. Fits in the back seat of my pickup.

First off, this is a great box if you're limited on space since 15's are quite large. I am running this in the back of my Mk4 VW GTI and it fits great, It's not the snazziest box. MDL wrapped in carpet. It is very close to what is pictured, mine has a chrome "bBox" logo in the bottom right. It is China made, but it seems quite good, bonded well and caulked joints. Now to the performance. The box does well. Yet with all boxes the frequency response varies, extreme lows, do die slightly, but that is expected with all sealed boxes. On the plus side, bass response is very tight due to the sealed nature. I listen to a variety of music, ranging from rock/metal, electronic, rap/hip-hop/RnB. And all of them do well. If you're looking for a basic box that gets the job done, this works incredibly well.

The quality of this box is fairly good for the price and produces tight and punchy bass paired with my 15” Boston Acoustics G215-44. The box was shipped in a thin cardboard box with no additional padding or protection. Mine was not damaged in any way but I wish they would at least put some hard foam padding on the corners to prevent damage from accidental falls or dings during shipping. Using a pair of calipers, the baffle measured 1” as claimed and the side walls measure about 13/20” (0.65”). This is probably sufficient for most 15” subwoofers as long as it isn’t a triple magnet, 10000 watt monster sub. I measured and posted a picture with the dimensions so you can make sure it fits before you buy. Internal volume measures roughly 3532 cu in or 2.04 cu ft. (as claimed). As far as installation, my sub dropped right in with no sanding or modification. This one has spring loaded terminals which I am not a fan of but It can easily be replaced with any number of binding post terminals here on amazon or parts express. I lined the box with roughly 10 sq ft of 2” thick fiber glass insulation to help dampen standing waves. Also, the ugly “BBOX” emblem on the lower corner can be pried off with a flathead screwdriver it it bothers you. And as a general tip when installing, predrill the holes for the sub so that you don’t split the wood when fastening the screws.

Ordered this from amazon in the beginning of January & was told that it would be delivered anywhere between 2-1-11 to 3-1-11. Turns out they got a hold of one a lot quicker and it was delivered 1 week after it was ordered. Received the item in 2 boxes, as others have listed, and I did not run into any problems with the carpeting on the box wearing away, it looked new, like it should. Installed my sub in it & put it in the car. Sounds great! I can't compare it to another box because I had a box for 2 12's before but was looking to just have one for a more balanced & clean sound instead of overwhelming bass. The box sounds very nice, can't really find any leaks or problems with build quality. Solid box, great performance, great deal overall.

Amazon shipped it in a single box with no packaging peanuts or anything to protect it. So the cardboard was slightly caved due to the wedge shape. I don't know if this had anything to do with the corners wearing away already or not. Just about every cornter has the wood showing through. I would probably share in the 5 star ratings had the carpet been left intact. I really can't complain, what do I expect for a $30 enclosure. It beats paying someone local to build an MDF box without carpet for $100. I might just purchase some corner protectors rather than try to send it back. I really want to get this thing installed this week and don't want to deal with the hassle of a return. Other than the carpeting, the construction looks good and they do seal the inside edges with caulk or glue. I may put some caulk around the speaker terminal just to be sure it's sealed and perhaps run some silicone caulk along the edges for added insurance.

Got this box and put a Type R SWR-10D2 in it and it will thump like you want it to. Bought 2 alpine amps to power it to 1000 RMS and Wow. This box bevels one way and they put a logo on it in the bottom right corner.. I prefer to put this box flat on it's back instead of facing the trunk so I kind of hate the logo because I want to mount my speaker reverse with the writing in the opposite direction. It just looks like an upside down emblem compared to the writing on my sub. Many people will however A:be less picky and B: mount the box the way it looks in the posted image on the right and have no problems. This box has epoxy on it and hasn't leaked air at all. The channel hookups haven't melted on me at 1000 rms @ 2 ohms so that end of the bargain worked out well. Nice looking box. The speaker fit like a glove in there and I seriously wish this box was here 10 years ago when I paid 4 times the money for something similar. I thought I was going to have to buy some epoxy or caulk and get this air tight but I was way wrong. I will have this box for quite sometime and if I need more bass I will get another box to match it!

A custom box is always best but isn't always needed nor is it always in the budget of every build. For basic installs, as long as these pre fab boxes meet the volume requirements of the subwoofer you're using, they are a great option. These are very well made, have a thicker front panel which really helps when mounting heavy subs and they sound good. I have used and currently own many Atrend boxes, single ported 12, dual sealed 10 and single sealed 10. They all work very well, are compact and look good. Definitely worth the money. A custom box would have cost me about $250 and for this install in my daily driver (which I tend to change every year or so) it works just fine. I don't want to many custom boxes that are specific to a car I had as I likely won't have the car long. These are a great option.

The fabric which covers this enclosure is great quality and blends nicely with most OEM boot mats. The connection plate has sturdy springs on the tabs to hold the input cable in place.
