Foil and Cutter Set Compatible with Remington SP-42 XLR Series

I have an older Remington shaver, a dual foil XLR-3000 that just won't quit! So the foil finally started to disintegrate and the blades were > 5 yrs. old. Then I lost the spring while cleaning it. I have purchased replacement blades before at the mall Remington store but now they are harder to find. I checked Amazon and this store seemed OK. After placing my order, the product came as promised (not including the weekend). The blades came with a replacement foil and the spring. Everything popped right in and my trusty old shaver works as good as new. This was several weeks ago and so far no problems at all. I would gladly buy this product from this store again.

When I got these I noticed they looked very much different than a legitimate SP-42 cutter block and foil set. They weren't carded, but rather were sent loose. The cutter block was noticeably shorter and had less cutting blades than the real one originally made by Remington. I decided to try it and see if it worked and it cuts no better than my current seven year old worn-out Remington cutter block. I read the reviews and found that the inferior quality and poor performance have been experienced by others. Note, even though the seller uses "SP-42" in their ad, it is NOT an SP-42, it is just inferior quality copies of the parts found in an actual SP-42. They also photographed the cutterblock from above so you can't see how much smaller it is than the real cutterblock, and without an authentic cutterblock to compare it to you can't see the shorter length and fewer cutting blades. If you see the sides you'd know instantly that this is NOT like the true Remington product. I contacted the seller and they have offered me a partial refund, deducting the postage they paid to send this junk to me and not refunding me for return postage. If only I'd looked at the reviews for the product rather than the vendor, lesson learned. They're getting the most truthful review I can write. Buyer beware, do not buy this junk, do not buy from this vendor. This vendor also sells on ebay, the top only picture of the cutterblock in their ad is the giveaway.

Purchase was delivered timely... Though the screen fits snug - the blade doesn't make close contact to the interior of the screen's surface, leaving me technically un-shaven. Therefore, the description isn't accurate. I am still using my old blade w/ the new screen. The new blade is NOT a good fit for the XLR 700 model. I will not purchase from this supplier, again.

Screen fits great but the cutterblock is a little smaller then the original. Test shave was successful. I'm good for another year!

Superb service from this company, cutters and screens have the same quality as the OEM cutters and screens from when I first bought this Remington shaver. Excellent thickness and stretch of the screen, durable cutter, a first class shave every time. I always buy from this company and they never disappoint.

Of the long list of shavers this is claimed to fit, the old 6MF1 is *NOT* one of them. The cutter and foil snap into place, but don't match the curve of the original housing, and the cutter doesn't touch the foil - so it won't shave. The Remington 6MF1 takes the SP-40 foil and the RE-CXL cutter only. Nothing Else.
