Size:2-oz Jar | Color:Dioxazine Purple Since developing the first water-based artist acrylic paints in 1955, Liquitex has focused on providing all of the tools needed by the professional artist. All Liquitex products are formulated by a unique team of chemists and artists. This combination allows us to make the most versatile ranges of intense, highly-loaded, permanent colors possible. Liquitex is the only acrylic paint brand to offer four uniquely different ranges of professional acrylic color to suit the needs of the artist. That in mind, range-specific handling characteristics are established so that each Liquitex paint feels just right – never too sticky or slippery. The low-odor acrylic resin base represents the latest in acrylic resin technology, offering increased open time and producing colors of great clarity. The paint films are highly flexible, durable, non-yellowing, UV resistant, water-resistant, and pH neutral when dry. All Liquitex Professional Colors can be intermixed with each other and Liquitex Mediums. Liquitex Soft Body Artist Acrylic Paint, previously referred to as Medium Viscosity, was the original Liquitex acrylic formulation first made in 1955. It is an extremely versatile artist acrylic paint that is creamy and smooth, with a concentrated pigment load producing intense pure color. The creamy, smooth, pre-filtered consistency ensures good coverage, even-leveling, and superb results in a variety of applications and techniques. Could be shinier this is very close to a gray ...
Could be shinier this is very close to a gray. Not as shiny Decoart and Handyart thought it would be more. But it still fills the paper with not many strokes so it all depends on what your looking for

It is the most beautiful red, deep
If you don't have many paints in your acrylic paint collection, make sure you have naphthol crimson in your collection. It is the most beautiful red, deep, bright and strong!

I like the color
I like the color, and it mixed well with other colors like burnt umbre to change the tone a little bit, but it's more opaque then the other paints in this series and I wasn't expecting that.

This is a great brand of paint.
I bought this paint in silver and gold at a craft store, then found the copper product on Amazon. It's really nice, has a good texture and washes up beautifully.

GREAT to mix
This adds a pearl like glow to any acrylic paint, I use this one more than just about anything else.

Great paint, very smooth and consistent.
All Liquitex products have always worked great for me, but this is the first I've used the soft body paints. They have a perfectly smooth texture, which is a really big deal after using so many different brands of paint (some extremely expensive) that have little clots I have to wipe off the painting or my brush. The colors are true, and unlike the tubes, you can see your color thru the jar.

One of the best acrylic paint available - from a professional painter's point of view
This is a professional-grade paint, which is one of the best possible formulation of acrylic made by Liquitex, who happens to be the one who invented acrylic paint in the 1960's. Generally speaking, I will always trust Liquitex Professional paints when they are:A. Single Pigment (only one pigment code is written on the tube or the pot - The details of the pigments used is provided by Liquitex on their website)B. Certified "Lightfastness I""Lightfastness I" means the best possible resistance to exposure to light and indicates that the color will remain as vivid as on the first day for more than 100 years - if kept indoor and not exposed to direct sunlight. The choice of Soft Body VS Heavy Body does not impact the paint quality: the density of pigment is the same in both. It is a question of taste: soft body is more liquid than heavy body. I tend to prefer Heavy Body because adding water to a Heavy Body mix will make it very close to a soft body mix. It is also possible to give to a Soft Body mix the texture of Heavy Body but it requires the addition of a special medium. Then Heavy Body is a little more versatile than Soft Body.

What you can expect from a professional paint brand
I know colours are a question of taste, but I like Liquitex products in general. This is one of the main professional brands which provides high quality painting products. What I like in particular is the wealth of information they provide about every product: the type of pigment, the exact name of the pigment, if it is a single or multiple pigment colour, the level of transparency and other indications that are essential to make a precise colour and above all to be able to make it again later - very useful if you need to correct a mistake or if you make series. Liquitex has been in business for decades, so I expect them to remain in business long in the future, which is a guarantee that I will be able to recreate the colours I like by purchasing the same products again, this is extremely valuable. They may not be the cheapest, but there's no magic: some colours are not cheap to make since the pigments are not cheap.

Excellent Quality as Always
My hobby is painting with acrylics and have recently begun using professional grade acrylic paint. Liquitex is my preferred paint . You simply cannot go wrong with Liquitex, whether it's student grade or artist grade, soft or hard body paints.

Good quality paint
Used for pouring, must be heaver than other colours as it sinks below the surface. So needs careful use if you want white to show. Good as a base to get paints to flow.

Colour of image nowhere near accurate - paint colour much duller in reality
Bought this hoping for a very saturated blue, but it's actually very dull. May as well have mixed other darker blues I already owned with some white...Side note for those new to hard body/soft body - this is almost liquid viscosity, to the point where it almost falls out of the tube.
