Excellent preperation for the DELF B1 exam
This book will familiarize you and prepare you for the DELF B1 exam. The exercises closely resemble the exam.Your French should be at or near the B1 level in order to get the most from this book. This is not a teaching book. It's an exam preperation book.If your French isn't quite at the B1 level, then I recommend working through this book together with a teacher.I personally found oral comprehension to be the most difficult part of the test. I understand this is normal for most test takers. Listen to as much French material as you can. Yabla helped me a lot.

Pointless!! Just find a program online (MUCH BETTER!)
I'm really surprised this has good reviews. Basically, it gives a couple examples of each section, but any tips it provides are extremely common-sense (look for the main ideas, pay attention to the author). It actually really confused/worried me because it makes it seem like you need to get through like 8 exercises for the Reading Comprehension in 35 minutes vs. just 2!There are computer sites that use AI and give you great practice (including for the DELF) without needing a CD rom and they're about half the price for a monthly subscription (that you can cancel at any time). This book is a bit old-fashioned...

It was handy and helped to ace Delf B1.

it would be good but not for study
It is only exam preparation book so if you need for that purpose, it would be good but not for study.Even the writing component no model answers .

I would recommend this book in combination with a grammar exercise book ...
I am using this book as a self-study guide for the exam and it has plenty of writing and listening exercises. It also includes a mock exam at the end of the book. I would recommend this book in combination with a grammar exercise book to prepare for the DELF.

An essential, high quality, book for anyone sitting the DELF B1 French exam
This book, and the series that it comes from, is perhaps the 'gold standard' for anyone sitting a DEFL exam. The book is entirely in French but if you are at the start of B1 you are probably used to that by now, as unlike a GCSE or A-Level, the DELF exams are entirely in french. It is about A4 size and contains almost 200 pages, with a CD on the inside back cover. I do wish that the CD content was made available online as an MP3 - as it's always a hassle copying the CD audio to a computer! The content is full colour on glossy paper, so it has the 'feel' of a good quality text book. There is a brief section on the B1 syllabus, followed by about 30 pages on oral comprehension, about another 30 pages on written comprehension, the same amount for writing production and the same for oral production. So just like the exam, the book balances the four key areas. There are then some collections of articles about France and French culture, which are helpful for the production parts of the exam. This is followed by a mock exam, which is very similar in structure and design to the actual B1 exam. Then the answers are at the back! No cheating! There is space in the book for you to write your answers. If you feel a bit awkward writing in text books like this, I'm with you - I feel the same! However, hopefully this book is your companion to passing the DELF so why not make it yours and accept that by the time you get to the exam, you might want to burn the book anyway! This is an essential companion for anyone wanting to sit the B1 exam and I have no doubt that if you work through all the content - and keep reviewing the sections that initially feel tough - you will be very well prepared for the DELF B1 exam! All the best with your ongoing mastery of French language! :)

Looks like a perfect choice
Seems a really useful book. I like the layout, the colour and the way it gives you examples to allow you to build up your competence in each of the 4 language tests and then there are example tests. All the answers are in the book and there are recommendations about exam technique - all the book content is in French. This seems to be MUCH better than the "Preparacion for DELF A2" book by Alexandre Hollande I bought for the previous exam.

Very good resource
Bought this together with DELF B2, and they each are just shy of 200 pages and both include a CD. The book is beautifully presented, with many colourful pictures and custom formatted layout to make the learning more interesting. The material within these books is also well chosen for the students and helps you to gradually improve further. Get it if you plan to advance to the next level in your French language study. Highly recommended.

Good.
Essential text and audio to prepare for B1 exam. You obviously have to do a lot of work around the subject: specifically, for me, that means developing listening skills with news broadcasts, Yabla videos etc. etc. But it lets you know what your are in for. Good.
