Great Quality Value Power Love it!
The vacuum is just like the other Sharks I have had. Great suction, filtration and ease of use. I love the hand roller tool, it works great on my cat trees! Also the other tools work well. The only downfall is the cord is much shorter than my last Shark. My last Shark is still working, but it has been used a lot. Excellent quality, I have no doubt it will last for years. I would buy this again. Only my 3rd Shark because they last while getting put through the test at our house. Its been 30 years of using them. This one is powerful and picks up all the dirt and pet hair. Nice size dirt bin too.

Outperforms My Dyson — Incredible Deep Cleaning and Pet Hair Pickup
Easy 5 stars — I genuinely love this Shark upright vacuum. The biggest standout is how deep it cleans carpets. I previously had a Dyson Ball upright (pet hair model), and this Shark actually outperforms it in most ways — especially when it comes to pulling dog hair out of the carpet. It’s honestly surprising how much more it picks up, even after I thought the carpet was already clean. You can visibly see and feel the difference after vacuuming. Carpets look refreshed, and there’s a noticeable improvement in how much embedded debris and hair it removes. It’s also very user-friendly overall. Maneuverability is solid for an upright, and it doesn’t feel overly heavy or difficult to use. If you have pets or just want a vacuum that actually deep cleans instead of just surface cleaning, this is a great choice. For me, it’s been a clear upgrade over a higher-priced brand. Pros: • Excellent deep carpet cleaning • Pulls up significantly more pet hair than expected • Outperforms comparable Dyson model • Easy to use and maneuver Cons: • Some dog hair gets stuck in the upper part of the canister when im emptying it

A Strong, Reliable Vacuum With a Few Usability Quirks
The Shark Navigator Lift‑Away NV356E delivers solid cleaning performance and has quickly proven itself to be a dependable everyday vacuum. The suction is strong, transitions well between carpet and hard floors, and the overall cleaning results are consistently good. 🌪️ Cleaning Performance The suction power is one of the standout strengths. It picks up dust and debris effectively, and the brushroll shutoff makes it easy to switch to bare floors without scattering anything around. 🧹 Lift‑Away Feature The lift‑away mode is genuinely useful for stairs and above‑floor cleaning, but the release latches could be more intuitive. I accidentally pulled the wrong latch once, which opened the dust‑cup door and dumped debris onto the floor and the vacuum itself — not a fun cleanup. A clearer design or better differentiation between the latches would go a long way. 🪝 Wand & Hose Design One area that could use improvement is the wand, which doubles as the handle when vacuuming. As a wand, it’s not the easiest to use due to the weight distribution and the short, fairly rigid hose. It works, but it doesn’t feel as flexible or ergonomic as it could. 😌 Ease of Use The swivel steering is smooth and makes maneuvering around furniture simple. The dust cup is large enough that you don’t have to empty it constantly, and when everything is latched correctly, it’s easy to detach and clean. 🌬️ Filtration The sealed system and HEPA filter do a good job keeping fine dust contained, and the air feels cleaner after a full vacuum session. ⭐ Final Verdict A powerful, effective vacuum with strong suction and useful features, but with a few design quirks that show up during real‑world use. If you want solid performance at a reasonable price and can live with some minor usability frustrations, it’s a very capable choice.

3rd one purchased and all still going strong after 7+ years!
This is my 3rd shark vacuum I've purchased over the last 7 years. The blue one in the picture being the oldest. I can't stress enough how amazing these shark vacuums are. We have a large family. 2 adults, 5 children, 1 dog (Shiba inu), 2 siamese cats, 1 hamster, and 2 guinea pigs! I stated the above to show the need for three vacuums. Our home needs to be vacuumed daily, if not multiple times per day. My children aging from 9 to 16 years old leave a trail of dirt everywhere they walk it seems! Lol Our dog, a Shiba inu, sheds (has a blow) 2x to 3x per year that literally fills up garbage bags with all his hair when the blows happen. My daughters guinea pigs and hamsters cages are vacuumed out daily and when all bedding is changed a deep cleaning is needed. Our cats shed all day, everyday of the year. Now that you have a little background let's get to why these sharks are the best bang for your buck. We exclusively use the blue shark for the cage cleaning of the guinea pigs and hamster. This vacuum gets the heaviest use and longest run time out of the 3. It has lasted 7+ years and done its job beyond belief. We live in a 2 story home so we use our other 2 vacuums for regular vacuuming. One stays upstairs and one stays downstairs so we don't have to lug them up and down the stairs every time we vacuum. The middle white vacuum is 5 years old now and still works as if it is brand new. The first vacuum is used for our downstairs which deals with all the kids dirt and dog hair. Each one of these vacuums serves its purpose beyond belief. I have owned many lower end vacuums in the past and just thought that is how vacuums operate, not picking much up but doing its job. I owned a Dyson for 6 days a few years back to see what all the hype was about and after using it I sent it right back because nothing compares to these shark vacuums. The maneuverability of this vacuum is 2nd to none. The suction stands out above any vacuum I've ever used. The detachable canister is a life saver while doing my stairs and getting to hard to reach areas. When I received my first shark and ran a test after using a Bissell vacuum for years I almost felt like calling Bissell and giving them a piece of my mind. The amount of hair and dirt that I picked up was truly unbelievable and honestly, disgusting! I can say without a doubt or hesitation this is by far the best vacuum you can get for your money. The longevity (7+ years heavy use), price, ease of use, and maneuverability of this vacuum make it stand apart from every other vacuum on the market in my opinion. Do yourself and your home a favor and buy it. If you don't like it.....send it back! I promise you will be so satisfied that you'll be a life long shark vacuum buyer and will recommend shark to all your friends and family!

Nothing like a Shark!
This vacuum is my second one in 10+ years. The original ended up with a short and caused a little jolt when in use. Keep in mind the original traveled from PA, to Germany to Brussels, North Carolina and back to PA so it was used A LOT! Thru it all, it maintained great suction on carpets and hardwoods until its shocking end. I knew its replacement would be another Shark. My new vacuum was packaged well, came on time. Easy instructions to snap together, plugged in and picked up so much dirt and pet hair that I was shocked (figuratively this time). I've used other mid line vacuums before like Bissell and Hoover and a few off brands before but Shark products have such a good reputation and stand by their products so its really a no brainer. They are easy to maneuver around corners and under furniture and easy to empty. The attachments make baseboard and corners easy to clean and the pet hair attachment works better than a lint brush on furniture. This vacuum handles all the dirt that life can throw at you.

Bought a spare after 9 years
tl;dr Best vacuum ever. Buy one! After 9 years (next month) of daily use (and I'm sorry to report I am not gentle at all), I've started to notice a few concerns with my Shark NV356E Navigator Lift-Away Professional Upright Vacuum. About a year after purchase, I broke one of the clips that holds the dust bin onto the base. But you know what? Didn't matter. The dust bin sits on the base with a tight seal, so the loss of one of the clips has made no difference for the 8 years since it broke. The real concern began when the roller brushes occasionally weren't spinning... I'd take apart the vacuum to be sure it was clean and unobstructed, wouldn't find any problem, but then the brushes would work again. Weird. Then one day a couple weeks ago, it just stopped in the middle of vacuuming. I'm telling you, I almost cried right then and there, but I walked away to calm down. When I came back, it turned on and worked fine. Weird again. I thought I'd better order a replacement. I love this vacuum so much, and it has been such an excellent workhorse, and one never knows when a company will stop manufacturing a certain model, so I ordered a second one to have as a replacement for when the sad time of the death of my first one comes (but you'd better believe I'll consult a repairman before fully giving up—that's how much I love this vacuum). (Also, just yesterday, I believe I've identified the problem: I think the switch has somehow gone bad. I'll be looking into how to replace it.) Other "problems" I've had include the splitting of the hard part of the little hose at the bottom of the unit 2 years ago next month (7 years after purchase). Black electrical tape held it together until the replacement hose came. I have no idea why it broke, but there's about a 75% chance it was a user-generated problem. And the boy somehow vacuumed up the cord with such force that it damaged the protective outer coating. Again, black electrical tape "fixed" it. Speaking of the boy, he has at various times vacuumed up Legos, paper, dog food, rubber bands, spiders, gravel in the driveway (just to see if it worked), the occasional sock, powdered sidewalk chalk (I thought that one might have killed the vacuum, but no, he miraculously survived), soggy cereal directly from the bowl, and I can't tell you how many times he disassembled the vacuum during his "Deconstructed" phase (remember that TV show? ugh, our aspie boy failed to heed the subtitle: "we take it apart so you don't have to")... my Shark has valiantly kept on working. Some people think the vacuum tips over too easily. True. The hose is stiff and doesn't stretch much. When using the wand, the vacuum will tip over as you pull on the hose, because it's quite top heavy and the hose is attached toward the top. The fix is to "lift away"—detach it from the floor base. Just takes depressing a release latch. Simple. Emptying the dust bin seems to throw off some users who experience the dirt billowing out as they empty it. Again, an easy fix: lower the dust bin down into the waste basket (don't want to empty it into a full waste basket, you guys), and then depress the release button. The bottom swings open and the dirt and debris fall out into the waste basket. Then, turn the dust bin upside down, lower it into the waste basket again, and depress the release button for the lid to dump out any debris that has gathered in the upper chamber (Labrador undercoat hair seems to get stuck in there, so I do have to tap it so the hair falls out). Maybe you live in a new house, but I don't. My house is very old, and we have the windows open as much as possible, so between the Kansas wind and the old house, we have dust like you wouldn't believe. I dust using the vacuumm and the dusting brush. We also have two dogs, one of which (a Labrador Retriever) sheds enough that I could probably knit a whole new dog each week with his sheddings. Therefore, we vacuum every day. The bedroom where the kennel sits fills the dust bin with hair at least once and sometimes twice per vacuuming. Speaking of the dust bin, here's one thing I consider a design flaw: the fine mesh filter up inside the upper chamber of the dust bin is not removeable. It can get clogged with super-fine dust (especially if your child has vacuumed up something slightly wet, but also just with regular use), which lessens the suction power. It would be so nice and much easier to be able to remove that mesh cup to wash it. Since you can't, the way to keep it unobstructed or to clean it once it is clogged is to use a long-handled nylon bristle scrub brush—with the bristles dry, of course—to brush/scrape the mesh, then lower the dust bin into the waste basket and tap it to remove the fine dust. Fine dust is also, guaranteed, going to fill up your filters, so my suggestion is to buy one or a few spare filter sets. Don't throw them away. We blow them out with our air compressor (although you could probably just beat the dust out of the two triangular filters like an old-fashioned housewife beats a rug), tie them—the two triangular filters, not the hepa filter—into a pillowcase, wash them in the washing machine, and dry them in the dryer with no fabric softener. (Update: I no longer wash my two triangular filters in a tied-closed pillowcase like a caveman. Now I use a mesh lingerie bag.) Another tip: If your vacuum begins to smell not so fresh (say, like a giant dog butt), put a few of those fabric softener pellets/beads (like Downey Unstoppables) between the two triangular filters. They are dry, so they won't harm anything, but they will cause the vacuum to put out their scent each time you use it, which is much, much more pleasant than giant-dog-butt scent. When their scent wears out (or when you replace the filters with clean ones), just replace the beads with new. Aaaaanyway, I did finally order a spare vacuum, just in case. When it arrived, I opened the box to find I had been sent a used vacuum. Gross! Hair in the brushes, hair and dirt in the dust bin. Oh my gosh, so disgusting. Hubs made it worse by pointing out I could have been sent a vacuum someone WITH BEDBUGS had used and returned. (The strangest part is that the box had a label from another department store.) The Amazon customer service representative facilitated a return and replacement, which I received yesterday. You'll be relieved to note it was brand new, never used. I assembled it (took approximately 1.35 minutes), and I plan to keep it upstairs, mostly unused until my original one finally gives up the ghost.

I am unsure this is the vacuum for me... It is fine? Could just be me...
I have owned so many different vacuums in my search for the "right" one. Like Goldilocks with the bed? Things just don't feel right. Dont get me wrong, the Shark brand is a good one, better than the pet Dyson, the super Hoover, most all brands have been here. Shark is the best I have found. I finally decided on which model would be right for me, and my household. I did research, & for the price point this seemed to be the best bet. But there is/was another model that was WAY more $$$ than this and honestly? Very similar within many equal comparisons. This has good suction, but it is not quite as I thought it would be. The ability to take the canister off the frame for stairs/drapes is nice? Efficient in many ways, but lacking the "za za zoo" I was sure I would have. I very much appreciate a cleaning tool! The better the abilities? The happier I am! In the first fifteen of use with a new item, I know. I knew this was not really for me in five minutes. But it is NOT due to inadequate outcomes in performance by this Shark? My mistake in identifying which model had what features. The feature most mistaken in my choice is the other would not allow any type of hair to become all tangled up underneath? While this model allows the hair to wrap around the beater brush. I thought this model had the fragrance pod? My mistake as it does not. The ability to fully execute under furniture is what I would describe as an "almost"? But removing the canister from the frame does allow a full flow, just unable without removing from base. Where I am concentrating on the half empty of the half full I have been handed. I apologize I saved for this, and not being all I had confused with another new model? Just a small let down. But the premium model I so wanted is just too much $$$ at this time, so I will be okay with having a "fine" vacuum, when I really wanted "wow". Petty I know. If you are considering this model? I will tell you this, if you have all the pets, all the little & big ones in/out of your home as I do? And the additional fact I quite possibly have enough HAIR from humans as well as pets for me to combine into yarn!. Lol. If this is also present in your home? I really think you would be better advised to go with the model that does not allow that hair issue you end up having to cut away. However? If you do NOT have the extra as I do, including high traffic daily? And maybe just a two adult household with stairs & want to do the highest portion of your curtains occasionally, plus some hard flooring instead of full carpet? I believe you will be very happy with this Shark. It has good abilities, cleaning higher up is easy with the canister removal feature. A pet brush is provided , as well a crevice tool. It IS great going from carpet to hardwood without missing a beat. The noise I referred to is just a personal issue, it most likely would not be anything for other people. It doesn't take up space, and the cord is long enough to fully clean a large LR/dining room to kitchen without redoing to another electric outlet. With no pets (I have many) the addition of the fragrance pod will most likely not be thought of as a necessity. Again, I messed up as made the mistake in thinking this had that, as with dogs, cats, children of all sizes & smells? I feel I would have benefited from. But it's too late in my choice now. I will recommend the entire Shark brand, as I feel MUCH better in performance than the "others" aforementioned . Possibly, the Shark gentleman that appears on my TV at the oddest hours and originally attracted my interest in his brand of floor cleaning machines? He will see my review and realize my longing for the new Stratos model is not involving disappointment within all this model offers? Understanding it is sincerely related to what I misunderstood in usage and what would be best suited to my needs? Contacting me in a friendly way and offer to switch out models to the new premium Stratos after we go to brunch! Lol... Nah, my liking to Goldilocks contains no Prince Charming, just hairy bears I have to vacuum after. So know this is a very efficient vacuum, not anything incorrect with it, or the results it provides! Just not the correct model for my needs. Thank you!

Very satisfied with this purchase.
This Shark upright vacuum has been a great addition to my cleaning routine. It performs especially well on tile floors, picking up dust, dirt, sand, and other debris with ease. The suction power is strong, and it leaves floors looking noticeably cleaner after just one pass. It’s also easy to maneuver and doesn’t feel overly heavy, which makes cleaning less of a chore. Overall, it’s a reliable vacuum that does exactly what I need it to do, especially on hard surfaces like tile.

Me impresionó

OMG where has this R2D2 vacuum been all my life?
My wife calls this R2D2, lol. I looks a bit like a scifi robot. We've only ever bought cheap vacuums, and never thought to ever try something at least a bit more expensive than the rock bottom priced vacuums. Our cheap vacuum's belt broke and found it was doing such a poor just and it got so disgusting after all this time, that I'd figure, ok, let's try to see if life can be better. I used Consumer Reports to let me home in something that doesn't suck from above but sucks good from below :-) It was between a few choices. This particular vacuum has some good reviews, so I decided to choose this one. Apparently there are other models of this brand that look similar but that don't have as much suction power. Consumer Reports reports some as having mediocre suction power. But this particular one, is sucking on steroids! On thick carpet you basically get a workout moving this thing about. This *could* be a problem for some. Apparently there is a way to let it purposely leak air in, and that might be a great workaround, but in our case, we like the power that comes with it. Our upstairs carpet is a bit thinner, and with that it is much easier to use. No problem in fact. Where it becomes hard to move is on our living plushy carpet. But then something unexpected happened. The canister filled up entirely with tiny dust particles. It became solid gray. It detected that it could no longer suck, and a safety valve kicked in. It's really fool proof. So it *actually* sucked all that from inside and under the carpet. The previous vacuum wasn't grabbing this at all! I had to empty the canister many times by the time I vacuumed the whole house! The house was never clean before, I guess. One of the reasons it works so well, aside from its awesome power, is because the bristles are motorized! There is an electric motor in that bottom part! Instead of using slippy belts that draw from the main motor, it uses a geared belt that connects to a separate motor. It detects if it gets stuck and turns off that motor. Brilliant, again, fool proof! That belt will probably not break. But I went on youtube to see if it is possible to fix *IF* it'd ever breaks. No problem! You can find replacement belt / bristle kits and it's no problem at all! So because the bristles are motorized, you get to choose if you want the bristles to run or not. So on a wooden floor you can roll this thing around super easy. It's nice and gentle on the floor, with proper wheels. And so many features! You can detach the bottom part with ease. Great for the stairs! You can detach the hose and is comes with this bristle attachment that *actually* works! It gets its spin from the suction power, and you'd think it'd never work well, but it really actually does! This is really very well designed, intelligent product! The designers really did a very good job on this. All the plastic is all made from good solid materials. There is absolutely nothing flimsy about it. My wife calls it R2D2 but to me it's more like a Tesla vacuum :-)

not suitable for KSA
should be removed from Saudi Website as the Voltage is not compatible. I will have to purchase a step down transformer now, which will almost double the cost for me. there was no such information in listing.

Highly recommend!
Used it for the first time today and so far it’s great. PROS: Picked up all of the dog hair on my carpeted stairs in under 5 minutes with minimal effort. The “brushroll on” feature is amazing! It pulled the vacuum along for me and all I had to do was guide it, barely any effort required. The long hose with handle came in handy when cleaning around the baseboards, I did not need to bend over and hurt my back. It is fairly quiet, has great suction, picked up everything quickly and I was shocked at how much dog hair it grabbed! IF YOU HAVE DOGS I PROMISE YOU YOU NEED THIS! The canister was easy to remove and empty. CONS: It is heavier than my old vacuum (not really a con as it is made with high quality materials). It does tip over easily when using the long arm with the handle especially on stairs (an easy fix if you sturdy it with your leg). There is no place on the vacuum for the pet hair removal accessory, unless I haven’t found it yet? It does not have a quick retraction cord which is annoying because everything else about this vacuum is amazing! Poor design choice.

Good but not for pet owners
Great vacuum but terrible if you or your pets have long hair. The roller brush is a pain to clean and remove hair that gets wrapped around it. I have irish setters and they have longer fur and fighting to clean the brush after every use is obnoxious. It would be great if a company designed a vacuum that worked well for pets other than short haired ones. Works well on carpet, not as well on bare floors/hardwood which is also disappointing. It’s also a bit heavy so doing stairs isn’t the easiest. To disconnect the hose to use separately from the foot it’s a poor design and the hose is too short so the rest of the vacuum tends to just tip over/crash to the ground if you do this without hanging onto the rest of the vacuum. Overall decent suction but a fair amount of design issues that would make me try a different product in future. Easy to empty though which is nice and the cord is quite long which is also nice.
