An absolute workhorse! Still going strong after 4 years.
I cannot say enough good things about this steam iron! I purchased it four years ago, and it has proven to be an absolute workhorse in my household. I use it nearly every single day to prep my clothes, and it still performs just as incredibly well as it did on day one. It heats up fast, produces a powerful, consistent amount of steam, and effortlessly glides through stubborn wrinkles. Finding an appliance that can actually withstand daily, heavy-duty use over several years is rare, but this iron has completely exceeded my expectations and never lets me down. If you need a highly reliable, durable, and effective iron that will genuinely go the distance, I cannot recommend this one enough!

Incredible steam iron
This steam iron is AMAZING. It heats almost instantly and one pass over a wrinkled linen garment is enough to make it look brand new. It is just the right weight-heavy but not too heavy. Filling the water tank is a bit awkward, but otherwise all of the controls are easy and operate flawlessly. It is the first iron I've owned in decades that does not leak or drip during steaming. It has an auto shut-off function. It makes ironing so fast and easy that I've started ironing my sheets

Nice Iron!
I was VERY surprised when I took this iron out of the box! It was big. And heavy! How could I use this thing?? Well... I must have just had a very inferior (rhymes with polenta) iron that I had been using for years!! Who knew? I checked the other top rated, potential irons and this actually comes in as one of the lighter weight ones! So I ironed some clothes and a sheet yesterday. The size actually speeds things up - like 2 swipes instead of 3. On a personal note, I'm not crazy about the "automatic shut-off" feature. I understand the safety of it, but I tend to spend more time horizontally than it likes, and found myself having to put it in an upright position before I was done with a piece, then waiting for it to switch back on again. It comes with a little fill cup for water. Handy, yes, but emphasis on little. After 3 trips to the sink, I ditched it for a plastic 2 cup measuring cup that kept water at the ready for a "fill up". Performance wise, I think it did a bang up job. Tons of steam, good water squirter. Lots of clicks on the dial between the temperature settings. And as mentioned above the size of the iron took care of the item quickly. But it is not too big, and is shaped correctly as to be able to get in between buttons and other small areas. The iron i received looks different from the picture in that it has a resting plate. The bottom area that in the picture looks like it is missing a section is actually filled in with this resting plate. That is nice except the front edge is rubber. This is fine if you are resting it on a slippery surface, but it continually catches on the ironing board cover when I go to sit it upright. (which is often because of the shut-off feature) Deducting 1 star because of the rubber edge of the resting plate and the fact that I can't iron horizontally as long as I need to sometimes. These are personal issues and by no means affect the performance of the iron, which is 5 stars. And you really can't beat the price! - well worth it!

Best Iron Ever
This is one of the best iron I ever purchased in my life. Very great quality, press really great and worth every dollar. I purchased this Iron 5 years ago and it is still strong and press really good. I love this iron, 5 years and 2 months yet it still look brand new. Absolutely no problem, I would definitely recommend.

Best iron I've ever bought
Best iron I've ever owned. I sew clothing and quilts and have gone through lots of irons. This is the best I've ever had. Heats up fast, great steam, easy to clean sole plate.

I'm a convert - maybe?
I HATE IRONING! Yes, I said it. It's hot, boring, tedious work. Even when I was younger, I just never saw the benefits because I avoided it as much as possible. As an adult, I bought clothes that would need less ironing (knits especially) and didn't worry about ironing those that did unless absolutely necessary. And then I found this iron from PurSteam. I decided to get back into sewing and began looking at irons to replace the heavy old thing I'd been using. After reading reviews (on Amazon and elsewhere), I decided to go for this one, and I'm so very glad I did! The initial things that swayed me were the weight (2.2 lbs), the various steam and mist options, the fact that only tap water is needed, and definitely the price (a professional steam iron under $35??). When I got the iron, I had several things to work on. They were pillowcases, dresser scarves, and sheets that had been embroidered by my great-grandmother, so the items are at least 80 years old. Heavy cotton, no color-fast threads, most in pretty good shape - and I wanted to keep them that way. I read the instructions for the iron, set up the ironing board, and got to work. I was truly surprised at how quickly and easily the iron took very old, wrinkled cotton and made all the items pretty again. I did not use any sprays for wrinkle control; with the material as old as it is, I didn't want to risk messing anything up. But no worries: the mist and burst of steam options did the trick. All the items came out crisp and beautiful, and I barely broke a sweat! My hands didn't hurt after the ironing either, which is important as I have arthritis. I don't know if I will ever enjoy ironing, but this appliance is definitely a game-changer for me. I would highly recommend it for anyone who wants to have crisp, pressed items with a minimum of fuss. Thank you, PurSteam, for an affordable appliance of high quality that performs as promised!

Great Iron with One Small Flaw
This iron has been an excellent purchase! It’s durable, heats up quickly, and works like a charm. Whether I’m tackling tough wrinkles or quickly pressing lighter fabrics, it gets the job done efficiently and with no fuss. One thing I really appreciate is that it doesn’t leak at all, which can be a common issue with other irons. The cord doesn’t retract, which would be a nice feature, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The iron itself is incredibly strong and feels built to last, so I know I’ll be using it for a long time. The only downside is the rust-like residue on the bottom plate. I’ve tried everything to remove it, but nothing seems to work. Thankfully, it doesn’t affect the iron’s performance, but it’s still a bit frustrating to see on such a great product. Overall, if you’re looking for a reliable, leak-proof, and fast-heating iron, this one is a fantastic choice. Despite the minor cosmetic issue, I’m very happy with how well it works!

Poor design, defective heating, not suitable for sewing projects
Pros: Slick chrome sole plate, lightweight when empty; return process through Amazon was almost effortless. Cons: Poor heating (defective), badly designed temperature dial, overzealous auto shut-off, no "reset" button, not suitable for sewing projects. First, the iron I received (and returned) heated to a maximum of only 150 degrees Fahrenheit (65 Celsius) at the tip (the hottest part), on the highest setting. I measured it with a laser thermometer on three separate occasions--unplugging the iron in between, and cross-checking the thermometer on other objects. Lower on the sole plate, the temperature was 120F or less. This explains why the sole plate was dragging against the damp cotton flannel I was trying to press. I immediately replaced the Pur Steam with a Sunbeam for half the price, and with only 1200 Watts instead of Pur Steam's 1700 Watts. The Sunbeam quickly heats to 500F (260C) on the highest setting. That's the way irons are supposed to work. Second, the smooth plastic temperature dial is placed between the body and the handle of the iron, such that it sits within a narrow channel, nearly unreachable. That might be OK if it had a thumb lever, or even a knurled edge for better grip, but instead it's slippery. In addition, the dial uses a ratchet mechanism to resist being bumped off target--a feature that makes it even harder to turn from such an awkward angle. The ratchet allows movements only in tiny increments--creak-creak-creak--which means you may need ten finger movements to coax the dial up to the highest temperature settings (and back down). With all these impediments, you have to brace the iron in order to turn the dial--every time. I tried using two hands but lost patience with too many fingers in a tight space. Using one hand, I was able to place my palm on the handle, curl my ring finger and pinky around the handle to hold it, then pinch the edges of the dial with my thumb on one side of the handle and my first and middle fingers on the other side. I have medium-sized hands, but this was not an easy reach. With practice, I managed to dial to the high-temperature setting in only 7 to 8 creak-creak-creaks, instead of 10. But I found the process maddening, especially because I like to put the setting on minimum each time I return to my sewing machine. (With the Sunbeam iron, I just slide a lever--zip!) Next, I found that the auto shut-off is overzealous. It would shut off after 30 seconds even while I was still ironing--perhaps because I wasn't moving the iron enough for the motion sensor. This happened, for instance, when I was carefully pressing a shirt placket, and when I was trying to bond fusible interfacing. It also happened each time I dared to leave the iron upright for as long as 8 minutes and return to my sewing--even though I had creak-creak-creaked the temperature dial to minimum, for safety. The iron heralds these shut-offs with an imperious five beeps--as if to offer a reprieve, if the user can jump up, dash back, and pick up the iron fast enough. Take note: There is no "reset" button. Unbelievably, the instruction booklet says you must unplug and replug to reset the iron after every automatic shut-off. Just what I want--a chance to crawl under my ironing board every 30 seconds. But I finally discovered I could tip the iron up and down, or give it a threatening little shake to wake it back up. Luckily, I hadn't put any water in it, because shaking an active steam iron could result in a scald. This is a lousy design. I didn't test the steam functions, so I can't comment on that. I don't even want a steam iron, because they never work right for long. I always use a spray bottle of water for best control. But the few dry irons available are terribly overpriced or get terrible reviews (or both). The water reservoir in this Pur Steam takes up a lot of space at the heel of the iron, beyond the sole plate. That makes the iron long, overall--or tall, when it's sitting upright. But at least it felt stable in its parked position. If you have an old house, beware that the 1700 Watts of power is at the high end of what old 15-amp electrical circuits can handle. I had to make sure there was no other draw on the circuit I was using.

Buena plancha
En general es buena, el depósito de agua tiene una muy buena apertura para su llenado y una gran capacidad, el vapor es constante sin embargo es menor si lo comparamos con cierta marca alemana que supongo es su competencia directa, los materiales se notan duraderos.
