If you're trying to decide if this is something you want. Worried that it's good quality, etc. Go ahead and purchase it. It is a very good quality cloak*. The material is heavy-duty with sturdy stitching and added embroidery. The size and weight is perfect. Keeps warm and is easy on/off. I didn't purchase this for any sort of cosplay or anything, though I'm sure it works fine for that. I actually wear it to/from work daily in the winter where I live. Temps in the 30s-50s. Of course you'll have to deal with the sideways looks from other folks, but that's just jealousy. The only addition I would add to a modern-day cloak* would be pockets on the inside. I've got a fix for that, but just a design suggestion. *I've looked up the difference between a "cloak" and a "cape" and I feel like this product definitely falls into the "cloak" definition. I'm 6'1" and it comes down to mid-calf. I believe capes are shorter than cloaks.

Fits very well and looks great
Made out of high quality material and fits perfectly. I love the hood. The buttons are a little bit small but that's ok unless you need to open them back-and-forth all the time. It's actually permanently joined together at the top which is not apparent when you buy it but it doesn't bother me for my purpose since I bought it as a movie prop.

Not what you think
fabric is nice.. can keep you warm Trim is simple and elegant... Now the Major problem.... it has no shoulders! It is dead weight. Your back and neck will ache for hours after! A cape or cloak must have shoulders. The clasps? Good luck with that. You need baby fingers to make em work. Its sewn below the bottom clasp ...if your head big it won't go over. If it does your choking yourself. I dont know what these other reviews are talking about. Its a heavy cloak it will not be comfortable without shoulders!

Poor design and execution
I ordered an extra large. The item is the size of a medium. The design might have been elegant in design but the execution was extremely poor. The item wasn’t made well. The cropping of the fabric isn’t straight and there is no way an adult can wear the item.
