Nutramax Proviable Probiotics for Dogs & Cats, Sprinkle Capsules, 30ct

What an amazing product. My dog had a stroke and he was having stomach issues from all the medication he was on. It was so bad that they weren’t gonna let him come home from the emergency vet until it cleared up and the vet told me if I picked up these probiotics and some fiber she would feel more comfortable sending him home. Between these and the fiber, his stomach was 100% better within 48 hours no more diarrhea. Now these are my go to if any of my dogs are having issues. I just open the capsule and sprinkle it on my dogs food. They don’t seem to mind the taste. These are just a good quality probiotic with great ingredients. These consistently work every time so if you’re looking for a probiotic or your pup, definitely try these.

Love this probiotic. Vet recommended it and it helps both my dog and my cat. It has prebiotics, which I think makes a real difference. Easy to give and Nutramax feels trustworthy. Definitely a win for their digestion.

I’ve been using these probiotics for over six months now, and they have completely changed the game for my dog. She’s a Miniature Schnauzer who just turned 3, and if you know the breed, you know how notoriously sensitive their stomachs can be. We actually started these on our vet's recommendation. She ate something she definitely shouldn’t have, which led to an awful round of vomiting and diarrhea. After she recovered, I read through the Amazon reviews and decided to keep her on them daily to support her gut health. Every morning, I just open up the capsule and sprinkle the powder right over her breakfast. She eats it up with no issues at all. Boy, am I glad we stuck with it. My girl is incredibly food-obsessed—if you look away for a split second, she’s jumping up on the table to counter-surf. Because of this, she’s managed to sneak a few things she shouldn't have over the last few months. While staying with a pet sitter, she managed to eat a tiny bit of dark chocolate. Another time, she successfully stole some french fries. In the past, either of those incidents would have meant an immediate upset stomach and a stressful, expensive trip to the clinic. Instead? Absolutely zero reaction. I am a firm believer that this probiotic is the exact reason her stomach has gotten so strong. Having this in the house has been an absolute blessing and has genuinely cut our unexpected vet visits down to zero. If you have a Schnauzer or any dog with a sensitive stomach, I cannot recommend this enough!

Finally a vet (a second opinion - different company/vet) that believed me when I said that I was not overfeeding Gabe! The chief complaints, along with Gabe being hungry all the time, was his aggression towards me because I refused to overfeed him. Despite this, his weight exploded from 16 pounds to 21 pounds in less than 1 year. Gabe is 24" long and 16 1/2 inches tall so about 3 pounds overweight. 2nd vet said this is because his body is not absorbing the nutrients in his food and his current bloodwork and bloodwork from a year ago proved this to her, as his WBC, Mono, lymph, and others have been way below the normal range now for 2 years. His body temp being quite low is further evidence but I ordered some self heating blankets/pads for him, along with an 80 count box of Nutramax Proviable today! He is just over 2 now. ask your search engine this, "What does soy inhibit the body from absorbing", and you will be surprised yourself. The vet prescribed/recommended this product and I have to say, I am quite impressed and ecstatic about the results I have seen. If I could give it 10 stars I would! This is a product that Gabe will be using for a very long time as the soy he had been consuming in his pet food for the past year has greatly damaged his intestinal track too. He is now on a cat food that does not have any soy in it and Proviable. What amazed me the most was this observation: by the 3rd day of Gabe getting this product, Gabe was not begging for more food after he was done eating; when he was hungry, he came and let me know, I was able to get him to wait until it was time to eat, (he is on a schedule), and he did not get aggressive with me! Impatient, yes, I could see that, but he didn't jump on me to bite me! I can say that after the 7th day, I can firmly attest that Gabe has not attacked or bit me even one time and has not displayed any impatience in getting his food!!!! I am not exaggerating about how aggressive he used to be. I have pictures and even had to get a tetanus shot because of some of the injuries I sustained because of his aggressiveness over food. Gabe has a follow up appt late August and I can see that he has lost weight already! Gabe is so much fun now, so loving and playful, he is a totally different cat!!! Apparently when an animal is starving, their bodies will retain everything they consume as a way to protect itself and easily become obese! I heard about this but never actually believed it - until now! He did not like the powder contents on his dry food alone, don't know if he smells an odor but I cannot. I am not physically able to get a pill down his throat, so I mix the contents of 1 capsule with a 5-6 grams of (approx 1/2 of a squeeze up) of the Delectables made by Hartz, non seafood recipe; he now comes to me every morning, right on schedule, and waits for his "medicine". The capsules are soft and easy to empty, the contents of the capsules appear to be consistent in quality and quantity. I have to get my fingers a tad wet, enough for my old arthritic hands to hold onto the smooth capsule to open to mix the contents. I like each capsule is in it's own bubble especially since I live in a high humidity environment. It is nice that I can get a box of 80 and save some money considering Gabe is going to be one this product for at least 1 year, maybe longer. He is mixed with a large/giant breed an is not fully grown yet, according to the vet.

After our puppy caught giardia and finished the prescription probiotics from the vet, our vet recommended that we transition to this daily version, which is from the same brand. This probiotic definitely works. After feeding it to him for several months, we decided to stop and see how he would do. Within a month or two, we noticed his stomach became much less stable, as our puppy has a very sensitive stomach. Because of that, we went back to giving him one capsule every day. The powder inside is very fragrant, and you can easily sprinkle it on top of food as a meal topper. Our picky-eater puppy absolutely loves the taste and gets super excited to eat it every single time.

I have been using this probiotic and prebiotic supplement for about a year now for all three of my dogs, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. The ingredients are great and is celery free. My veterinarian recommended it, and it has made a noticeable difference in their digestive health. My oldest dog no longer struggles with diarrhea and all three dogs have consistently had regular, healthy bowel movements. It has been especially helpful with my dog with a sensitive stomach who can experience digestive upset from the stress of traveling. The capsules are very easy to use. I either put it in a pocket pill chewable treat or I simply open them and sprinkle the powder over their Royal Canin dog food, and they eat it right up without any issues because the probiotic is tasteless. It couldn’t be more convenient. While it is a little pricey, the quality is excellent and the results make it well worth the cost. After a year of use, I can confidently say this product has helped keep my dogs’ consistency of good healthy bowel movements and digestive systems healthy and balanced. I highly recommend it for dogs with sensitive stomachs, digestive issues, or occasional diarrhea.

Didn't help to my cat at all.

The vet suggested a probiotic after we took our cat in after she was constantly throwing up and had lost a dangerous amount of weight. First the vet did a bunch of tests that cost us a ridiculous amount of money and I wish she had suggested a probiotic first, because it turns out that it was exactly what our himilayan cat needed. Himilayan's are a sensitive breed that tend to have stomach troubles. We first bought purina fortiflax from the vet, but she told us that any good probiotic would do and to look around for a better price product if we wanted. I did some research and proviable was the best reviewed product for a much better price. Our cat still throws up a tiny bit - I'm tracking once a month - but she has gained a ton of weight and is in much better health. I open the capsules and mix it in her wet food. It's not as delicious as the fortiflax from her reaction, but my cat eats it no problem. It has been a miracle for her.

Very good for my dog with IBD. Much more energy and less vomiting.

So far they seem to be working. 1 each morning for the past couple of weeks and we have had fabulous turds and no vomiting or refusal to eat. The Pomsky is a bit of a drama queen and more spoilt then the our child, but this seems to have stabilized her tummy ( she has IDB ) no treats other than a couple of slices of sweet potato to help soften up the turds. Without the extra bit of fibre the turds fire out like bullets, with the sweet potato they glide out like the Prada racing yacht. Nearly £1 a tablet with the smaller packets but can’t go cheap on a good dogs health. Also the bigger packs work out better cheaper.
