I use these in my jewelry making very nice. So if you sew and make jewelry this is a great purchase!

Such a good quality, highly recommended.
The thickness is a little thinner than 1mm, I would say 0.7 or 0.8mm. When stretched before sewing it comes back a little to original which make it easier to get the exact stretch that I want without going too much. It's really good quality compared to the other ones I got a little thicker...the wire itself is thick enough to stay round without unraveling more when is sewn. I highly recommend this product

Soft wire
I am new to using this kind of material with my beadwork and have discovered that there are “soft” and “hard” french coil wires. This one is very soft as it takes the stitches and doesn’t stay streamline like “hard” coil wire. My picture shows a comparison between hard (in black, from a different company) and soft (in silver from this seller).
